Plantation Rifle Range - High Power Range

Q: How much to get in
A: $10 if you are a whatcom county resident. $11 if you are not.
- Jerry Davis (6 years ago)
A: I think it's a $10-12 range fee and then more for gun rentals and extra ammo. TMJ ammo only in the inside range.
- Bill Maxwell (6 years ago)
Q: Cost of shooting lessons?
A: I think you can rent it or someone with an ffl, and teaching abilities (schooling) can do it privately. It is a nice place to just plink too.

Friendly and helpful staff, and nice indoor range. Haven't gone to the outdoor one yet. Hours are a little confusing and it would help if the google hours were updated. You can come with no equipment and rent/buy everything you need, but cost will add up fast. Overall, fun place to go with family or a close friend. And duh your under-aged child can't shoot a pistol here! This is a publicly owned facility and that's explicitly against RCW 9.41.240.

Poor. Active duty navy (20 y/o) with his nefew and uncle, yet couldn't shoot pistols due to age. My job is deeply involved with firearms, but if a 14 year (or 20) old cannot shoot a pistol, because we are too young, why would a 14 y/o be able to shoot a rifle? Now I don't want laws against that, I just advocate smart firearm use, and promote training the next generation proper firearm handling. Spend the extra gas to go to Skagit arms, and be satisfied with your service. Don't waist $30+ dollars just to leave in 30 minutes. V/R your active duty son.

This place is great, staff is professional, understanding, and patient. They will yell at you if you screw around, which is perfectly reasonable given the dangers of the activity. I got a membership and it's very reasonbly priced. You have options to shoot guns of pretty much every flavor, just follow the rules.

Very relaxing range. Staff is friendly if you follow the rules, which is pretty easy to do unless you are a complete idiot. Nicely kept range and great targets.
