Questions & Answers

Q: Is this range on the navy base? If so, can I got as a civilian?

A: It is open to the public.

- A Google User (5 years ago)

A: Not on the base. It's a private club.

- Gerry Meisner (5 years ago)

A: No it's out in town adjacent to the base, and as a general rule only military police can come and go on base with a firearm. Don't ever try to go on base without asking first because it's almost guaranteed, no

- John Smith (4 months ago)

A: NOT ON THE BASE

- Sharla Pugliese (10 months ago)

A: Not open to the public

- Justin Robinett (4 years ago)

Q: Is the range open to the public yet?

A: Yes

- A. Boyette (4 years ago)

A: No

- Justin Robinett (4 years ago)

Q: Is there an age limit to shoot at this range?

- Ask4Jorge (6 years ago)

Q: Do members pay for the rifle range? Pricing doesn't specify for members on rifle range.

A: No Pistols as well are no charge for members

- A. Boyette (11 months ago)

Q: Was told I'm not allowed to shoot 300 blackout here is this true?

A: No, you can shoot .300 AAC Blackout. All calibers up to, but not including .50 BMG energy are allowed.

- Ribs Schoderer (4 months ago)

Q: How much does it cost? Me and my wife would like to do some shooting tomorrow.

A: 15 Dollars a person is the entry fee.

- Brandon Beauvais (4 years ago)

Q: How long is the rifle range

A: They have a 100 yard and I believe 200 yard range.

- Tim Kennedy (4 years ago)

Q: What is the largest caliber the range allows?

A: Someone was shooting 338 Lapuaon a recent visit (within the past 2 months). You'd want to call ahead to ask if interested in shooting 50 BMG (or anything designated as anti materiel) as it can tear up a backstop. I would assume anything less (firearms/ammunition designed for big game or long range shooting) will not be a problem.

- Dennis Flanders (4 years ago)

Q: Do you offer shooting lessons

A: In the past they have offered 2 classes a year for NRA handgun safety and 2 classes a year for women on shooting basics and firearms safety and 1 class a year on handgun self defense. I am not sure if they still offer them. Give them a call.

- David Ledbetter (5 years ago)

A: Sorry I don't know since I only shoot there occasionally. Give them a call.

- Gerry Meisner (5 years ago)

Q: Are there rental firearms?

A: No, you must bring your own firearms and rifle/pistol ammunition. Although, if you shoot trap, they do have boxes of shotgun shells on hand for sale.

- Brandon Powell (5 years ago)

A: No rental firearms , you must supply your own firearms and ammo. They do have targets for sale. I do not know on the shotgun range of they have ammo for sale, but they do not have shotguns for rent.

- David Ledbetter (5 years ago)

A: Good question. Sadly I don't know.

A very nice facility open to the public and a great staff of member volunteers who take the time to make sure new guests are welcomed and knowledgable of safety rules. Trap / 5 Stand / pistol & rifle range up to 200 yds.

Went to try out a new pistol I got for Christmas. The range safety officer Mike there is a pistol instructor and took time out of his day to give me some pointers and tips. Very friendly and helpful guy.

Very helpful service. Range was well kept. Plenty of space. RSO was very helpful in getting us started. My girlfriend and I shot on the 50 and 100 yard range. Be weary of fellow shooters on the line. You must communicate with each other in order to go Con. 4, insert chamber flag, and go down range. (This one guy and his gf would just hit the red light whenever they wanted and attempt to move down range before we all had a chance to go Con 4!)

Great local gun club, with outdoor pistol, rifle, and shotgun range facilities. Open to the public for a $15 daily fee, members can use between 9am-4pm (5pm in summer) for not cost. The annual membership is limited #, so there is usually a waitlist each year to get in the following year, (apply by March). It’s all volunteer run, so expect everything that goes with that. As the only registered/regulated range in Kitsap County, there are several safety restrictions including rate of fire, rounds loaded, caliber, etc… don’t blame that on the club, that’s dictated by the county law passed several years ago. Highly recommend the monthly action pistol shoot, also open to the public, on the second Saturday of every month.

After my last visit. WTH. Jesus. This place once was ok. Now it is like the angry geriatrics club. Did someone forget their Metamucil?

Great place, awesome group of people. The only downside is it closes towards end of summer when there is fire danger. That is not their fault but it does hamper shooting sometimes. Overall great group of people. Nice facilities.

No idea about the company itself but its patrons are the worst people on earth. Had one guy pass me on clear creek and then wave his firearm at me from inside his truck. Just a bunch of scared old men.

RSO’s demeanor put me off from the get go. Looks like this is a very common issue here. He scolded me for having a coffee, but someone else brought their dog and let it run around off leash… at a gun range, which didn’t seem to be a concern. Seems backwards to me. Facility is fine but couldn’t recommend.

Awful ΓÇ£customer serviceΓÇ¥ RSO was yelling at me and my buddy because we parked in ΓÇ£hisΓÇ¥ spot of which DID NOT have a sign or marked for the RSO. They wouldnΓÇÖt leave us alone about it and kept bothering us while we were trying to have a good time shooting

Like many have mentioned already the RSOs are needlessly rude. The female RSO talked to us as soon as we arrived and was curt and rude. She asked me if I was military and I said yes (since I am former military and so is my wife who was shooting with me) and showed my veteran ID card, she says, "Nope" only then do I see the entry fee of $10 is for ACTIVE duty military which she should have specified. She then asks if I need targets and points me over to the area where the targets are. I go over and look at them, decide I want 3 and 4 and go to open the cabinet to get them only for the RSO to come over and rudely again say NO the 1/4" sign on the cabinet says ask RSO for assistance. Well then why the hell did you send me over to the cabinet? Also she was rude about the barrel flag...my red one didn't work...apparently yellow is the only color the RSOs can see and therefore the only safe thing to use. I get the RSOs want to be safe but there is NO reason to surly and rude. I'm not sure if I'm going back

Nice shooting facility overall. Most of the regulars are friendly and helpful to new shooters. 2 second wait per shot blows, but it is what it is. Good pricing for ramge fees and targets. The only problem as a lot of the reviews state is the RSOs. Few are genuinely friendly, decent people who foster a safe, comfortable learning environment who'll only step in if you're doing anything dangerous, but a majority will harass and belittle you in a condescending attitude while wagging a finger in your face. The last rule is a copout for the RSO to make up any rule that pleases them to ensure you know they are in charge. I have been coming here for some years and whenever I recommend this place to anyone, they've heard the 'RSO issue' or have gone once experienced it for themselves and never want to go/return due to issue mentioned above. Ultimately, it is unfortunate that many new shooters/ first-time gun owners get discouraged from practicing their 2nd Amendment right due to such individuals in the gun community, especially during a very turbulent time in our country. Anyhow, at the end of the day, they are a business, and they have the right conduct themselves as they see fit. If you want a range to sight in that new deer rifle and occasionally shoot pistols, this place is the nearest range in the Bremerton area.
