PrairieFire Nevada

Q: Friends told me this is a Pyramid Scheme and that they are always contacting and harassing you to upgrade and buy more memberships. Is this true?
A: I think you have the wrong place.
- Jackie LaBarbera (3 years ago)
A: It kinda is. They will email twice a day and try to sell you shares of a timeshare that hasn't been built yet. However, you can remove yourself from the email list and it all stops. The training memberships are fairly priced. Ammo used to be reasonable, not any longer. I feel like they are gouging more than the retailers are at this point.
- Rick Neal (3 years ago)
A: it is a scam! they just went through bankruptcy because they were scamming people so look it up in the news. after i bought my lifetime membership everything was good for a few years but then they kept getting worse and worse for trying to scam people. they are always trying to upsell or sell you something and thier ammo is super expensive compared to what you can buy in town. now because of the bankruptcy they are making you pay $100 a day for attend the class even though you are a member and before it was free if you you were a member. my family and i will never go here again.
- google account (2 years ago)
A: Best training I have ever had- equal to, if not better than most of my military training. NOT a pyramid scheme- They did sell upgrades to memberships, but if you stop the e-mails, there has never been an issue. Outstanding facility and training. Awesome Instructors. The condo's were a dream not met, but not a scam. They BK'd because of numerous issues, but the biggest has been overhead is way more than we paid for the services! Not in any way a scam. The cost of travel/lodging (and of course, ammo) was WAY more expensive than anything else. Hell, most of the time I felt guilty I didn't spend more.

- Brett Beanan (3 years ago)
Q: Is the Sig p365 xl allowed at Frontsight?
A: Thanks Jason
- Rodney Knopes (4 years ago)
A: I don't know the details of that particular weapon or why it would be a "no," but your best bet is to call their customer service number and you will have an answer in 30 seconds.
- Jason S (4 years ago)
Q: How does one go about getting permission to go on the property and picck up the bullet shells? I am a widow and could use the exercise
A: You can purchase indivudal courses as well directly from Front Sight or members on ebay.
- Judson Miers (5 years ago)
A: Not possible, FS has contactors that recycle brass for profit.
- John Jason Chun (6 years ago)
A: You need to be a member to buy ammo. They do have have tours of the property if your interested in checking out what they have to offer. Just call the main number, good luck.
- vic jensik (6 years ago)
Q: Will they take a amputee? One leg.
A: Yes. Absolutely
- Israel Leon (5 years ago)
Q: Is there a potable water supply near by for filling the RV?
A: Not at this time .
- Howard JR Nelson (6 years ago)
A: As of now no, but supposedly soon there will be.
- Israel Leon (6 years ago)
Q: what can I use my credits on?
A: Annual dues and Pro shop, but only about half of the items in the pro shop. You're limited to certain brands. Can't use it towards electronic in-ear protection.
- Mike Francis (6 years ago)
A: I believe you can use them towards purchases in the pro-shop , classed , memberships , rentals
- Howard JR Nelson (6 years ago)
A: Virtually everything except ammo has been my experience. Background checks, pro shop, transferring classes snd memberships
- Tim Elenz (6 years ago)
Q: Hello I'm very interested in this coarse how soon can I start
A: The best thing to do is find a member who has a membership they can sell you. Once you have a membership, you can go online and sign up for courses. Front Sight provides awesome training and is very fun! Hope you get out there soon!
- Robby Haltinner (6 years ago)
A: If you get a membership you have a guarantee sign up in 2 weeks.
- Israel Leon (6 years ago)
A: You should start with a membership , aside from getting member status on courses , there are member benefits.
- Howard JR Nelson (6 years ago)
Q: Did Front Site change the name?
A: Yes, it is now PrairieFire
- Gary Owen (4 months ago)
Q: Is the Springfield XMDp 4.5 acceptable at Front Sight? Thanks,
A: Only for tactical shotgun courses😉
- Michael Franchek (3 years ago)
Q: Do you have to bring your own guns
A: They do have guns you can rent. You have to use their ammo.

One Day Ladies Only Competition Training with Lanny Barnes at the STUNNING Stacato Vegas range in Pahrump is very difficult to put into words except OUTSTANDING! The class structure works for all skill levels, Lanny's ability to assess each of us, motivate, reflects the outstanding dedicated athlete she is. I left the range wanting more, committed to improving my shooting skills, physical and mental being. Thank you Staccato and THANK YOU LANNY! I will be back very soon.

Took my brother and nephew here for one of their adventures. Great instructors, and amazing shooting experience. If you are visiting Vegas, I would highly recommend you save some money on the strip and visit this shooting range for an unforgettable awesome experience.

... by the way, our instructor Ben was so kind to put up "easy-up" coverings for us all the first day of our shooting course. It was raining pretty hard and it made the day and the day AOK. Appreciate him doing that. I understand he didn't have to, and it was typical as to him wanting us all to have our best experience, undistracted by the rain which would have, being soaked, made the day a bit miserable. Hours standing in the rain would not have been fun. Thank you Ben!

UPDATE 12/24 It's like I pushed play on an experience that I paused before. Exact same amount of excitement as the first time I came. Staff still super nice and ready to educate on products/ processes of being at a range! Still 5 outta 5 star experience! This place is amazing. Got to check out the entire property. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Property is absolutely breath taking. It's like Disneyland for guns and training!

I recently visited Prairie Fire in Pahrump, Nevada, and had an absolute blast! Upon arrival, the coaches were knowledgeable and made sure we were safe but also having fun. They have a lot of experiences to choose from , that beginners and pros would all enjoy. The nighttime clay shooting experience was amazing. Shooting under the stars was truly mesmerizing. I canΓÇÖt wait to do it again, especially since they offer back and forth transformation from Las Vegas!

Whether by night or by day, thereΓÇÖs no bad time to experience the PrairieFire way! Fortunate enough to have run the Gunslinger Canyon and the Freedom Night Shoot: the former offers a healthy dose of competition where you run from station to station to beat the best time. The latter is a cacophony of shotgun blasts that are sure to give both the 4th of July and NYE a run for their money with neon clay shooting creating fireworks before your eyes. You never know who just may show up, as three-time Olympian Lanny Barnes picked up a gun herself to show us all how itΓÇÖs really done in style! If you really want to treat yourself, after you experience everything they have to offer from Archery to Rope & Rappel, ask about the unmatched Staccato 2011 firearm and fulfill your air racking frames you didnΓÇÖt know you had until now!

Did the Freedom Night Shoot experience and absolutely loved it. IΓÇÖm a beginner shooter and the coaches were very accommodating. They took safety very seriously, but were also fun to learn from as they would coach on everything like stance, loading and unloading the weapon, and especially hitting your target(s)

Prairie Fire provided great instruction on gun safety & handling. Took my children here for them to learn about handguns & to get comfortable around guns. Prairie Fire met my expectations and the kids had a blast. All the instructors & staff were friendly & personable.

2 month review of prairie Fire part 2. Read part 1 first so this part makes sense. I had to do this in 2 parts due to character limits. Now the website. ThereΓÇÖs a link to login but no link to create an account. How can you log in if you canΓÇÖt create an account? IΓÇÖve brought this up several times and was told they are working on it. Who exactly is working on it? Website development is elementary these days and almost anyone can do it. Especially if itΓÇÖs established and you only have to make changes. Creating an account is one of the most basic functions of any website selling something. There are supposed to be different levels of membership. Website says coming soon. ItΓÇÖs been 2 months and soon has come and gone. Pay close attention to the supposed discounts for membership as they arenΓÇÖt always as they seem. For example, they have a special ops event occasionally. Members pay $700 and non-members pay $1,000. Seems like a member discount right. Nope, non-members pay $1,000 but they also get a free $490 1 year membership. So non-members are actually paying $510 for the event. Members are paying $700 for the event. ThatΓÇÖs $190 more than non-members. If youΓÇÖre already a member, youΓÇÖre getting the short end of the stick. I complained about this and they did offer a discount. I still wasnΓÇÖt interested and I donΓÇÖt know if they made this offer to all members or if they changed anything. ThereΓÇÖs a disconnect and lack of communication internally as expressed by several current and former PF employees. The external communication seems to be worse. A good example. IΓÇÖve been there over 20 times and I have ALWAYS come at 6AM. I was there Wed at 6AM and had a good time. I came out 2 days later on Fri. When I arrived at 6AM the front gate was closed. After many phone calls I finally got through to someone and they said the hours changed yesterday, Thur. So the day after I was there, the hours changed and no one could mention this to me? No emails were sent, no phone calls were made. Me at 6AM and the two other people who showed up around 6:30AM had to wait until 7:30AM to get in because nobody had the courtesy or common sense to communicate the hours change to their members. If you canΓÇÖt get your own house in order how can properly treat your members? In closing I am not ready to cancel my membership just yet. I enjoy going out to a safe place with my guns and shooting them. IΓÇÖm deciding if I want pay the $125, double what I was verbally quoted, because I really want to attend the class. If you are thinking about becoming a member, I hope this review gives you a bit more information to make an intelligent decision. If you want to bring friends or family or minors who donΓÇÖt live with you, there is no benefit to membership. Other than yourself, youΓÇÖll pay the same as a non-member. I have felt safe, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed every interaction with the various ROΓÇÖs there. There are some office people who canΓÇÖt be trusted on what they say, whether deliberate or not. Be sure you double and triple check and document. There are plenty of reasons to join depending on your needs. There are plenty of reasons to give one serious pause before maybe joining. Have a great day keep shooting wherever you go!

2 month review of Prairie Fire part 1. I like being able to take my guns to the open ranges. You can add your spouse to your account. Monthly rate is $42 and the annual rate is $490. If you pay monthly itΓÇÖs $504 for a year. You get a $14 discount for paying for a full year. DoesnΓÇÖt really encourage me to commit to a year. Better than $30 an hour as a non-member. IΓÇÖll just stick to monthly so I can easily cancel. IΓÇÖve worked with several ROΓÇÖs and all have been wonderful. They are safety conscious, friendly, helpful and professional. I have nothing but excellent things to say about every RO IΓÇÖve worked with. The pistol range 6 is nice. 15 ΓÇô 20 down range targets and you can shoot anywhere from 7 to 25 yards. ThereΓÇÖs a sunshade and picnic style tables. Range 7, the 100 yard rifle range, is nice but lacking. 15 ΓÇô 20 down range targets. Markers at 25 yard increments, sunshade and picnic tables. Problem is thereΓÇÖs only one bench to shoot from. When I bring my wife, I have to bring my own card table so she can shoot her 10/22. IΓÇÖve mentioned this several times to office staff with no results. Some of the ROΓÇÖs say they need more benches. If you happen to be at the rifle range when thereΓÇÖs several people there, good luck. Unless youΓÇÖre a prone shooter, youΓÇÖll be taking turns or shooting from your own table. I brought my wife's two grandkids and one of them had to shoot their 10/22 from a picnic table. This is what membership gets? That leads into a negative. When I was thinking about becoming a member, I took a tour. I mentioned IΓÇÿd like to bring the grandkids out. I was told if they are under 18, they shoot for free. I later confirmed this with office staff. Fast forward to last week, I booked the open range for me, my wife's daughter and the grandkids, who are both well under 18. Upon arrival, the staff tried to charge me $30 per hour for each of them. What! After much ado they honored what I was originally told. It turns out, grandchildren donΓÇÖt shoot for free. They conveniently left out, as a member, under age children only shoot for free if they live with you and are your dependents. Of course everyone had a case of memory loss when asked if they told me this. Be sure to always read the fine print or in this case document what youΓÇÖre told. YouΓÇÖre really trying to charge a member $30 an hour for non-dependent children. For 3 hours youΓÇÖd be forking out $180 for two kids. ThatΓÇÖs the same price for non-members. WhereΓÇÖs the member benefit? There was still just one RO and we had to supply our own table and shoot from a picnic table. What are we paying extra for? They did only charge my step daughter a one time fee of $30. Which is something they told me they would do. Not without a hassle of course. The next negative was being misquoted on the cost of a class. Again when I was touring the facility we were looking at the 200 and 400 yard ranges. I mentioned I was in the process of building a 6mm ARC. The tour guide told me they had a long range world record holder on staff and he taught precision rifle classes. The tour guide told me the classes were $62.50 per day for members. I actually wrote this down on my notes as to not forget. Again I confirmed this price with office staff. When I went to actually book the class I was told it was $125 per day for members. Again everyone involved had a bad case of memory loss. What made matters worse is when I talked to a manager, she went so far as to call me a liar. She said and I quote,ΓÇ¥ I wrote the policies and I trained everyone. I donΓÇÖt believe X person ever said that price to you. So itΓÇÖs your word against his.ΓÇ¥ So yea she called me a liar and refused to honor the verbally quoted price. I canΓÇÖt believe someone in a management position is so terrible at customer service and would act so unprofessionally to a member. Another problem is there arenΓÇÖt any posted prices for this class on the website. The class instructor has limited availability so you have to call or talk to someone directly to book this class. So they can say anything they want. More to come...

I had a great experience as a first time shooter doing the gunslinger canyon. The outdoor shooting range is so vast and they have so many different courses and experiences available. Our trainers were amazing and did a great job assisting me at my level. I was very nervous and worried about being judged but they were so great warm and welcoming. Mark , who has prestigious military background was so kind and accommodating, a really patient and attentive coordinator. The coaches Miles and Dustin were very knowledgeable and so great with our group! I felt empowered that I learned how to shoot a pistol and rifle even in the obstacle course type setting on my own and made most of the targets on the first shot! I mean to be able to do that in one day is an accomplishment and super cool. Thank you for your time and expertise to our amazing trainers. The concierge and the staff in the lobby were all friendly and kind too!

We love the Gun Slinger course and next we are going to do their archery course. ItΓÇÖs the best training whether youΓÇÖre a beginner or expert this is the place to go for a hands on experience you will never forget! We started at 8:30 and we were done and back to strip by noon !

Fraudulent organization. Be warned. Was a lifetime member, along with my Dad. Both of us had spent thousands of dollars to "secure our future" with the organization, but it disappeared seemingly overnight. For PrairieFire to be a completely different entity, it sure seems suspicious that Ignatius has a 10 year consultation contract, as well as the PF incorporation documents and URL registration go back several years to when FS was still operational. You can see IP's fingerprints all over this still. My issues and concerns aren't with the training itself, so much as the business infrastructure and motivations of operation. It is ethically questionable at the least, and a pyramid/Ponzi at the worst.

This place promised to hire all the old instructors back from FrontSight- then reneged on that promise. It put my dad - a Vietnam airborne veteran who not only saw more action than most SpecOps see today but also has multiple citations including a Purple Heart, is a lifelong shooter, is an NRA certified trainer, is a gunsmith and exemplifies safe tactical training principles- out of a job. Whatever is going on here screams shady just like their predecessor

Prairie Fire was one of my favorite Vegas attractions I have ever been to. I was a bit nervous doing the Gunslinger Canyon, it being my first-time handling a firearm. However, the instructors, Jarad and Frank were phenomenal and went through all the basic precaution before going to the canyon. I felt completely comfortable and more importantly safe throughout the whole experience. They informed me of the design and future plans that they have for the facility, and I can envision the potential of this amazing team. They have something for everyone all ages and all experiences with firearm. This place is truly special, and I am more than ecstatic to see their plans come into fruition. I cannot express myself enough when I say their team and staff are all amazing humans! Highly highly highly recommend, thank you Jarad and Frank!

Truly an amazing experience! Outstanding training facility and thrilling specialty shooting experience designed by elite military veterans. Whether youΓÇÖre a seasoned shooter or a curious beginner (like me), Prairie Fire offers an unforgettable adventure. The coaches made me feel comfortable, even as a first-time shooter. They were very encouraging and made it easy to learn how to safely use the weapons and confidently shoot the various targets. The Prairie Fire campus is surrounded by majestic mountain peaks, providing visitors with a stunning view from every direction. Gunslinger Canyon was a highlight for me! This experience goes far beyond the range, and I can't wait to return and see what Prairie Fire experiences are still yet to come!

Prairie Fire Gun Range is an exceptional experience for gun enthusiasts, adventure/adrenaline junkies, bachelor/bachelorette partiers, team builders or anyone simply wanting something uniquely different. They offer multiple shooting experiences, and each one is well thought out for a genuine immersion into hands-on shooting and archery. With 500+ acres of beautiful western desert as a backdrop, firing their vast array of weaponry (or your own) feels natural and instinctive. As a woman that has not held a firearm in 20+ years, their beyond experienced staff was kind towards my ignorance and made me feel competent and equipped in every sense. My favorite range is the night-time neon clay shooting - one of a kind! Truly, every detail has been considered and with luxury Mercedes vans as a means of transport from the city, there is no reason to miss this amazing must-do outdoor activity!

I spent my first time at Prairie fire this weekend, and couldnΓÇÖt have had a better time. The facility is undergoing extensive additions and reconditioning and is only going to continue to get better. It is neat, orderly, and thereΓÇÖs a lot to do regardless of your particular passion. All of the instructors and coaches were very friendly, professional, patient and encouraging. Regardless of your skill level, I felt very comfortable. Everyone I met was very nice and I canΓÇÖt wait to go back as I really enjoyed the feeling of ΓÇÿcommunityΓÇÖ. Plus, itΓÇÖs set in a beautiful setting between Spring Mountain and Red Rock Canyon, and itΓÇÖs terrific place to spend a few hours, or more!

I'm an avid recreational shooter and like checking out ranges as I travel. In some ways, a range is a range... build some berms and there you go. Prairie Fire is a notch above with excellent facilities but what makes the biggest difference, as in any business, is the staff. I visited two days and the Range Safety Officers each day were exceptional. Art and Frank were helpful, super professional and just fun to be around. I'm a big believer that there is always something to learn and these guys helped me learn quite a bit during my visits. Every one of the staff I came across were very professional and friendly. Kasia, the VP of Membership spent a lot of her valuable time soliciting my feedback on my visit. These people care about the vision for Prairie Fire and are striving to make their facility the best.

This location is the best shooting range ever. It has so much to offer. The staff are all very professional and full of information. I would recommend for beginners as well as professionals. The property has every option you can think of, and they are continuing to build more obstacles. They also have children's program.

PrairieFire Range not to be confused with the previous owners are the cats meow in ranges. I come in from Phoenix Arizona and its worth the trip. I was here for the grand opening in September 2023 and left with WOW! Truly and amazing experience. The best part are the people and the respect they take to make the experience amazing. A huge shout out to Scott Miller, Lanny Barnes and the rest of the staff for putting this place on the map. Back again this weekend. See you at the range....
