Questions & Answers

Q: can i get my cert here to get my ccws and whats the cost for ex military and what would i need for the class?

A: They do have concealed carry classes there I don't remember exactly how much they cost but if I'm not mistaken it's about $120 I honestly can't remember if they do military discount or not I'm pretty sure they do but like I said don't 100% quote me on that you would just need to take the CCW class that's it it's an eight-hour day which consists of any quiet time in some range time I think it's 6 hours of class time in 2 hours of range time and it's really easy, you would need to bring you're firearm that you want to use on the Range and when I went to another place we were told to bring 50 rounds but I'll actually shot 10 so I would take 52 a hundred rounds they may make you shoot more than their class it just depends I believe it says on their website 100% what you need and obviously you do need ear and eyes protection as well

- Steve S (5 years ago)

A: Veterans can get their ccw as long as you're honorably discharged and have your DD214 for free in the state of Ohio you do not need to take a class because your military experience is accepted as a certification. I recommend taking one to learn the legalize if you plan to actually carry. Just set up an appointment for application with your county sheriff's office.

- Troy (4 years ago)

A: Yes, our Concealed Carry Classes are $110 and that includes lunch as well, so you donΓÇÖt have to leave the facility. We offer Saturday or Sunday classes to fit busy schedules. You can see all our classes and register for classes at shootpremier.com

- Premier Shooting & Training Center (5 years ago)

Q: What happens on a visit? Do you need an ID? Do they take your ID? Can someone be with me that is not shooting?

A: You do need a valid ID. If you are renting a firearm we keep your ID while you are shooting the rental firearm. Our staff is happy to assist with getting you comfortable with a firearm. We can work with you while you are in the range, this is called a Personal Safety Officer (PSO). No appointment needed. Thank you!

- Kellie Wilson (5 years ago)

A: Can I shoot a weapon if i'm a tourist?

- Pelusa (4 years ago)

A: Just went again today. The entire staff is outstanding. I highly recommend this range.

- BOB Lally (5 years ago)

A: Yes you have to have to have your ID to rent a lane and shoot any firearms. If you rent one of thier firearms they will keep your ID until the firearm is returned after lane time is up.. Premier is the best range around in my opinion, they have everything you need and will help you with anything, the RSOs are really fantastic, they will help you if you need it, you will have to watch a short range safety video also if you have never shot on thier lanes before... Again though they help you with all aspects, much much better than any other range I've been to in the entire state of Ohio...

Q: Do you have to be 18 or can a kid go there with there parents

A: You don't have to be 18 and you can go with an adult

- Kevin Hamilton (7 years ago)

A: Under 18 you can Go with adult.

- Antonio Aquino (7 years ago)

A: Kids are ok as long as with an adult

- Benjamin Hanania (7 years ago)

A: My daughter is 10 that's where we train

- James Spicer (7 years ago)

A: Just need an adult to accompany them.

- David Woerner (7 years ago)

Q: How much is it and can you bring your own ammo

A: About 30.00 per hour plus extras. You can rent firearms and buy their ammo. Or bring your own firearm and ammo. Check out their groupon. The staff is outstanding. Very helpful and courteous

- BOB Lally (5 years ago)

A: 1/2 hour is $12 and an hour is $20 We have rental handguns and long guns. We also sell ammo. We do ask if you use our rentals you purchase our ammo, just so we know whatΓÇÖs running through our guns. You can bring your own ammo and firearms. Just no steel core, steel casing, tracers or armor piercing rounds. There is also a 4.25 acre stocked fishing lake, if you like to fish.

- Premier Shooting & Training Center (5 years ago)

A: You can bring your own it depends on what type of ammo if you are familiar with firearms you can bar cheap stuff or you can buy things like hornaday But be warned the cheap stuff or reloads and their dirty their produce here in Cincinnati very nice people very excellent facility

- Brian Hudson (5 years ago)

Q: Do you guys have assault rifles too rent for shooting, and what kind.

A: We have AR style rifles in our rentals 5.56 & .223. You can see a full look at our rentals on our website at shootpremier.com

- Premier Shooting & Training Center (5 years ago)

Q: I heard on the radio this morning that you buy guns also, is this correct?

A: They buy and sell but if you are looking to sell you'd get a much better price via private sale.

- David Woerner (7 years ago)

A: They just got the Silencerco Maxim9 in for sale and they have one for rent too. This is the new integrally suppressed pistol that looks like Robocop's gun. They also have the friendliest most helpful staff in the city and the cleanest ranges. They also have the 88 Tactical group that provides tactical training such as breaching entry Squad tactics and shooting around obstacles

- Randy Weiss (7 years ago)

A: Yes...You can buy guns and everything else.

- Kirt Lewis (7 years ago)

A: Yes, u can buy a good selection of guns.

- Antonio Aquino (7 years ago)

A: Good selection too.

Gotta be honest I’m kinda disappointed. I loved this place. I taught my wife and son how to shoot and how to be safe here. I was planning a trip today with my son (now grown with forearms of his own) for some father son bonding time. I called to check availability and was saddened to learn they have gone members only. Apparently I can still get a lane but the price has gone up ridiculously. I hate to accuse them of instituting a money grab because everyone there has always been great to us. Unfortunately it sure does appear that way. Reading the reviews over the past year or so it appears that this has been done to create and maintain a certain safety standard. I don’t see how charging more money and charging $469.99/year creates a safer environment. Premier was already overpriced compared to the other ranges around the area, but I was willing to overlook that because Premier really was the crème of the crop, knowledgeable employees, great products / services and above all else, we truly felt safe there. That said, I’d just like to know how going members only and drastically raising the prices for a “day pass” (used to be just price of the range time that was reasonable) increases the level of safety. It feels more like trying to keep the riff raff out. Which I could understand but that would mean my family and I are riff raff? We don’t shoot enough to warrant paying for a membership and the price of ammo is still not where it used to be and should be. It makes a trip to Premier expensive enough that it’s just not worth it. And it feels like that’s what they want as a customer. As if they no longer want to be a great place to go for a date night, an educational experience for me to train my wife and son and spending a good amount of money (at least by our standards. Dropping $75-$100 to me is a lot to spend for an hour). It feels as though they’d rather have a private club filled with folks who can afford to spend a lot more money a lot more often than families like mine. If this is not the case, I’d really like to know how this new members only (or excessively expensive “day pass”) increases the level of safety. I’m sure the fact that my family and I won’t be coming back means nothing. My little $100 per visit is a drop in the bucket and won’t be missed. It’s just disappointing.

Clean, safe range. Great atmosphere. The staff is knowledgeable and patient. Courses are well done and fun. New resources and courses are being added. I understand non-members are disappointed when they can't use the range, but I do feel safer since the policy changed - there are that handful of people that can ruin things for everyone. If it were a money grab, why would they be turning down easy money for walk-ins? The membership pays for itself quicker than you think.

Well, guess weΓÇÖll be going to Midwest instead of Premier from now on. ItΓÇÖs true, the person I spoke with claimed ΓÇ£managementΓÇ¥ just came up with members only concept on October 1. So no open range shooting even though website still shows that info. So you guys lost out on the cost of 2 lane rental's, 1 gun rental, ammo, and associated fees. Great job management and way to lower your foot traffic and sales! Response: save your ΓÇ£cut and pasteΓÇ¥ safety response as everyone knows this is a money grab. Guess you werenΓÇÖt as safe before going membership only?? On a separate note, we had a great time at Midwest today!

Everyone be aware that Premier shooting has become an elitists indoor range. You must be a member to shoot. $469.00 a year plus $75.00 activation fee. Instead of bringing people into the shooting sports it is chasing them away. Go to Midwest Shooting or Range USA.

Range is apparently transitioning to ΓÇ£membership onlyΓÇ¥ and they can only offer 30 minutes to non members. Been coming here for a bit on and off and not enough to warrant a membership. Guess IΓÇÖll be driving a little further to target world Response: save your sales pitch, this has nothing to do with safety. Safety has no bearing on charging people more, your safety procedures havenΓÇÖt changed one iota and to even spout that this is because of safety is offensive to your customers, theyΓÇÖre not dumb.

Per the person I spoke to today, their only lessons are either true beginner or multiple types tactical shooting. IΓÇÖm not a beginner, I had a gun brought to the hospital when I was born, I am comfortable with guns and have used them my whole life; but, when I asked about a class, that wasnΓÇÖt beginner/self defense focused all they could offer was that or tactical military/police training classes while telling me that wasnΓÇÖt what I wanted. They never told me the focus/curriculum of those classes. They seemed too rushed to my questions and would not give curriculum specifics. I would have been glad to call back and have a real conversation. I felt spoken down to and dismissed when I was asking legitimate questions as a lady who knows guns. I found another business that was more friendly, and I do not recommend women looking into this spot based on the experience I had with the gentleman that answered the phone for information.

Carl the range/safety officer was amazing and understood my ignorance. He was able to walk me through step-by-step how to practice safe techniques/basic at the range while also assisting me with disassembling my AR that was jamb. I could not give high enough praise. I would love you say I would return to Premier shooting, but unfortunately will not be because you only really have two options: 1. For first time visitors, you can take a tour of the facility, then you are permitted to use the range at their set fee (but only the first visit). 2. If you would like to return, then you have to sign up for a $40 membership and lock in for 1 year @ $480 (at least thatΓÇÖs how it was presented to me). I will not be returning for this reason, as I would only want to go 2-3 times a year and it seems like their concern for safety and more upfront money is more important than partial/casual customers.

Sad to say I loved coming here but it's no longer open to the public. Only members at $40 per month can come. For people like me who only go a few times a year because it's more convenient than going to Middletown sometimes, it's very disappointing. I would have rather range fees have been increased over members only. I get it, you need revenue to operate but another monthly bill isn't in my cards.

It is a great place. Today I went for a workout in the gym. They offer so much here. 20 ranges to shoot at. A gym, multiple styles of martial arts. The two ponds have fish in them. But there is a lot of vegetation close to the banks that makes it hard to net a fish. Recently they added a dare care area. Tommy's place is a very relaxing spot they have to socialize with friends after shooting. Once you enter into Tommy's place you are not able to go to the range for 24 hours I believe. They have some really fantastic mixed drinks at Tommy's place. The staff is very friendly. Always smiling and eager to help.

*** member range only*** as of oct 2024. Very nice facility. Everything seems first class. All the employees have been friendly and very helpful to me. I tested many of their rental guns and eventually purchased a handgun here. I have since visited the range several times to familiarize myself with the gun.

Will never go back. Let me start by saying the front of house is awesome, they were friendly and informative. We were a party of three, one of our party had to go back out to there vehicle to grab something so the front of house guy said I could carry his rental in for him. I was carrying a bucket with my rental, a target and his gun, I carried it under my arm pointing down at the ground. The range officer stopped us mid way and took the gun from under my arm, I at first thought he was trying to help since I had my hands full and I thought hey thanks man. But then he begins to berate me and act like I'm an idiot saying I was pointing the gun at my fiance. He said you have to keep the gun down range, first off, I was in the Sally port so no you can not, secondly it was pointed at the ground not my fiance. He insulted me in front of my fiance saying I don't know who you are to him but he had the gun pointed right at you, she even told him no it was pointed at the ground. I tried to explain this to him and he continued to treat me as an idiot. I understand you deal with people who do stupid things but I was not and I have been around and training with fire arms since I was 5. I was not pointing it at anyone but the ground. He then hovered over us the entire time and hit our feet several times with the shell sweeper. I brought this up to management and I was just told o ok, no apologies, no anything, this place is a joke and I will never return and I will tell every person I can to not go here. Absolutely ridiculous, I was actually considering a membership since the beginning of my experience was amazing with front of house staff, but that range officer was rude, unprofessional and a out right jerk, so me and mine will not ever be back.

Stepped into a range today for the first time to learn how to safely handle and operate a firearm and couldnΓÇÖt have had a better experience. Carl was the safety officer who taught me and he was phenomenal. Knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and safe. He took me through my first gun experience as well as I couldΓÇÖve hoped. Everybody else on staff was welcoming as well. I hope to be back to shoot in the future!

I had an absolute wonderful experience at Premier today, I went to the gun counter and explained how I have astigmatism & had questions regarding which optics would work for me and my eyesight. The very nice woman behind the front counter suggested I go the rental counter & look through the optics they had on their rental firearms. The young man working the counter was incredibly polite the entire time, graciously gave me 15-20 minutes of his time as he let me look through about 5 different optics they had in store. I cannot explain how pleasant of an experience this was, I have done tons of reading online about optics but I wanted to get some hands on experience before pulling the trigger (no pun intended); and the great people at premier gave me the chance to do so. I highly recommend dealing with premier if you have any firearm questions or interest in purchasing one.

Visiting from the UK so thought I'd try shooting for the first time. Have to say the guys went out of their way to help me sort out a session, super firendly and helpful. Can't recommend them enough for any first timers. Only one thing to note, which is that any first-timers like me need to book a session in advance.
