Q: How do you join?
A: The best way to join is to have a member recommend you. If you do not know any, the best way to meet some is to start attending a match at the club in a discipline that interests you. The match schedule is posted on the website.

Q: Is this open to the public or its member only?
A: It's for Members Only. Go to the website and see when membership is open. The only requirement is you be a member in good standing with the NRA

PSC is a great range that I have been a member of for many years. It has many different shooting disciplines including rifles 22lr thru .338cal, pistol, shotgun and archery. It has a trap range. Dedicated 22lr range and Bay. It also has isolated pistol/ pistol cartridge carbine bays and rifle ranges with targets from 25yds- 300yds. Unfortunately rifles can only shoot bench rest and you cannot clearly tell which target a bench is for until you are sitting down because of large safety barricade the spans the entire range. The majority of the ranges have permanent covers over the firing line. There is ample parking most of which is on pavement. There are also beverages onsite available at the clubhouse. And plenty of bathrooms with modern plumbing. So come bring out your safety gear a good attitude and enjoy a day range. The only reason I only give four stars and donΓÇÖt give five stars is because the rifle range should go out to 500 m and itΓÇÖs safety barricade needs to be about 12 inches higher up, allowing people to safely set up on their bench knowing theyΓÇÖre on. This also makes it difficult to position someone with a spotting scope to assist anywhere other than on the bench next you. All this aside, I truly believe that PSC is probably one of ,if not the nicest range in this area .

I would love to give this range a good review, but I can't. PSC's membership has been closed over 3-years. It looks very nice. I will have to look to others ranges (e.g. Texas Gun Club) if the PSC club leadership is unwilling to accommodate a growing Friends wood population.

I have been shooting here with for a couple of years with a buddy who is a member. So I had to join. The hours are great and the varied selection for shooting is superb. They have archery, tons of pistol bays, an air rifle range, skeet and clay, up to 300 yards rifle, and centerfire only. I have not been shooting much lately as the ammunition I shoot is getting hard and expensive to come by but I will not let my membership expire. You must be a NRA member to join and also be sponsored by another member in good standing of over 3 years. Only downside is that it's a 25 to 30 minute drive from the house. Which is probably a good thing as I would go broke buying ammo as I would be there all the time.

Their membership person, Jim Pierce, is TERRIBLE....HE WOULDN'T RETURN MY EMAILS WITH MY QUESTIONS.. I was advised by a couple of friends who are familiar with PSC, not to pursue membership. They didn't have good impressions of PSC. Based on the experience I had with Pierce, I took their advice and decided to let it go. Glad I waited before joining the NRA AGAIN. NRA membership is a prerequisite for being a PSC MEMBER. My opinion...both were a total waste of time. Don't need either of them. There are plenty of good ranges in the area, and if I want to shoot outdoor, we have a family " getaway place " in Montgomery where I can do that. Jim Pierce...THANKS BUT NO THANKS.

The place is beautiful! The shooting lanes are really well done! ItΓÇÖs like having your own personal range and theyΓÇÖre separated by a brick wall so very safety conscious! The only thing I would add is nomnoms! You need a food choice as well as the drink you already have!

It was my first time ever at a gun range and my experience was very pleasant. Although, I didn't shoot I enjoyed watching others shoot and gain knowledge all at the same time. It is members only so I went with a friend and I definitely recommend using double ear protection it helps a ton! The guys out there are very cautious and put your safety as a number one priority and while I was out there one of the shooters saw the discomfort on my face and was kind enough to let me have a pair of ear plugs I thought that was such a kind gesture. I would love to join once I become more experienced!

This place is incredible. Even though itΓÇÖs a member only club, itΓÇÖs for a reason. The staff is super helpful, and the place is well kept. ItΓÇÖs what every experienced shooter wants
