Muy divertido para pegar unos tiros.

My wife was interested in purchasing her first firearm so she had some questions to ask to figure out what would fit her best as a total beginner who had never held a gun before. John (the Owner or Manager I'm assuming) was very helpful and did not judge her lack of knowledge, but was in fact very supportive. I had a couple of questions about registering some of my firearms from out of state to CA and he was helpful there too. It was our first time at this store and overall the experience was very good. He even helped us 10min after they closed and was not in any hurry to get us to leave. We plan on purchasing our personal defense supplies from here in the future.

Nice place. Mostly LE uniform stuff though. Does not post online when they close the range for maintenance during normal hours, so if you drive a significant distance to get there, call.

Fairly decent workers to talk with, and an interesting range, not bad on prices, a limited selection of guns on hand to buy, with not much in the lines of accessories. The location felt like a prison lockup. For an unknown reason, it's locked down with a gate needing to be buzzed into as if you're visiting someone who's locked up. Kinda different from what I'm used to from all other gun shops I've been to.

I purchased a handgun from Range Master in early March. Post sales support has been personal and excellent. Took my CCW training and qualification course from them also, which they conducted with professionalism, excellence and attention to detail in helping every course participant with their learning needs. Would highly recommend Range Master for your firearm needs.

Decent gun shop but there are better options in the area. The store seems geared more towards law enforcement than those looking to plink, hunt, or just protect their home and family. IΓÇÖve never used their range but it seems popular especially if you live in town and are into pistols.

Overall, safe and professional venue. Owner is very knowledgeable and courteous. Staff on duty is usually helpful, but can be aloof at times. Ammo prices are higher than average: $0.98/round for .45 ACP is high. Best to go when it's not busy for the best experience. I go for short periods of time to test various firearms they have on rental. That is helpful for me, but expensive.

If you are black ... dont go here .... they do not like black people here ..... horrible customer service .... unprofessional ..... they charged my card $700+ and gave NOTHING ..... I just want my refund now .... I will go to another gun store ...... if you are non-white DO NOT GO HERE ... trust me .... they only like white people here.

Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Plenty of in stock items... Haven't used the range yet. I'm sure I'll change my review to 5 stars once I do.

I've been there a few times over the past several years. The ammo prices are high because everything is expensive right now. There prices on firearms is on par with everyones else in this area. The 2 stars is because of the lack of good customer service. Young "know it alls" that think their special because they carry guns. A bite of humble pie can do everybody some good. ;)

If you are military, I suggest avoiding here. I went in to buy some ammo and was denied because I didn't have a California State ID of any kind. I presented my CAC and my orders, showing that I was military stationed here, and was still denied. I'm aware of the CA Background Checks for ammo and had purchased several firearms in California since that law went into effect, so I was in the system and had been approved for purchase at several other locations, both on and off base. I had even purchase ammo here a few months ago, but for some reason I was denied this time without any attempt to even run a search. The supervisor stated that they could get in trouble if they sold me ammo without a CA ID, but then contradicted himself by saying depending on how much ammo is sold, they had a work around and can run it as "for use in the range". He also stated that the BX (Base Exchange; where I had bought most of my guns) had a different system for processing BG Checks. They do not. The FFL on base is subject to CA regulation and they use the same system for BG Checks for guns and ammo. I don't plan on conducting business here in the future.

Range Master is good to go, and with less of the brow beating you find at some gun shops. Update: I just finished up a purchase of a hard to find item, and the staff were exceedingly helpful. California insists on making life difficult, but the staff went out of their to make my experience as smooth as possible.

First, this is my Google screen name. I do not post anything negative online unless using my legal name. This business deserves a 5* rating. My wife and I began our shooting here and wish we would have purchased our pistols from Range Master in SLO as well. We took our initial newbie / safety class with Andrew - knowledgeable, professional and very engaging. The entire staff comports themselves professionally. We appreciate the atmosphere. We ride bikes to our local range. Very convenient. SLO is almost 40 minutes away, but I can’t deduct stars for that… …we make the drive not only because of the aforementioned professionalism of the staff, but also for the variety and quality of ammunition & targets and reasonable range fees. We really appreciate the powered target carriers and quality lighting. We just shoot better here. Very important to me is that magnum loads are acceptable at Range Master. Perhaps 2/3’s of what I shoot are .38 specials, the rest .357 magnum. I feel it is very important to practice with ammo that as closely as possible replicates that which you’ll load for protection. Range Master provides that & we appreciate it.
