My to-do list this year was to get my IL CCL. Just finished and had a great experience. Our instructor, Victor Wendt, did an admirable job out covering a lot of material. His background in law enforcement was very helpful in conveying real world situations.Thanks all.

What a great place to be safe and have fun shooting and learning about firearms. I am relatively new to gun ownership and this place has helped me through a transfer of a firearm from another state, one on one custom class and training in proper best practices and techniques. My skills are improving and I am much more confident now. Their employees are wonderful and so helpful all the time. Their willingness to share information and make sure you are learning is great and fun. They constantly have sales on ammo and other things. Their regular prices are also very fair, especially considering the great service you get. Gun ownership is your 2nd Amendment right and this is a great place to learn and enjoy it.

IΓÇÖve only come as a guest a few times with my boyfriend to Range USA but I must say that the employees at this location make it very welcoming to newer shooters. Everyone at the store is very knowledgeable each on different topics. I like that whenever you use the range there is a Range Safety Officer there to assist you, Bill is very helpful and makes sure that the range is always safe. ItΓÇÖs also nice to see that there are a few females working the store, being this is a very heavily male orientated sport. The manager Matthew was very helpful in helping me find and try guns that will fit a small female hand. Now all I have to do is wait for my FOID card to arrive and I will definitely be coming here to buy my first gun.

Always the highest prices in the area. Not sure if they are gouging, but it sure seems like it. $100-$200(handgun) over what competitors are offering. Mention the price seems high, and they don't care.

Extremely disappointed on the customer service as member of this range. I was in the shop on 12-19-2024 at 2:20pm for range time. I am a member so I walked in and got in the member line to request a lane. There were two staff members working, a heavy set gentleman with glasses and an oriental person, assisting two customers purchasing items in the back counters. I waited for about 4 minutes then three other customers got in the line for range time and a few more minutes passed but nothing from the staff working. Like we were invisible. What got me upset when the heavy set staff person passes by me , making no eye contact and goes to the back room retrieving a cased weapon. As he was passing me on the way back, no eye contact again, I asked him if I could get range time. He said he was helping someone. I replied " I understand and I see that you are but can you just acknowledge me and say someone will be with you shortly". The look on his face was so mind boggling that he had no clue as to what I was saying. If he would have just used a very simple sentence, " I will be with you shortly", I would have sat down and probably checked my emails on the phone. I fully understand a staff member has to finish a transaction and perhaps the facility was understaffed during this time, completely understandable but they need training on basic customer service. I used to go to Fox Valley gun range and I can tell you their customer service is excellent, but I switched to USA when it opened since my business is closer to this range. Not sure when the other three customers were served but I walked out, my time is a bit more valuable to get absolutely terrible customer service. I wanted to add, after they respond for you to place a ticket norhing is done or any response received towards correcting anything is done. I think the ticket line is just so everyone thinks they are taking your review seriously.

I had an outstanding experience at Range USA in Hanover Park, from purchasing my first firearm to enjoying time at the range. The staff, particularly Maggie, were incredibly knowledgeable and helped me narrow down my options, ensuring I made the right choice. I was so impressed with the service that I decided to sign up for their Elite membership. A few weeks later, I returned to purchase a second firearm, and the experience was just as smooth and positive. On a subsequent visit, I brought a friend to have the same experience. This time, Colin assisted him in selecting his first gun, and he received the same high level of attention and guidance. Both Maggie and Colin exemplified excellent customer service, blending politeness with expertise, and I couldn't be happier with my purchases and overall experience. I highly recommend Range USA in Hanover Park for anyone looking for professional, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance when buying firearms. Their customer service truly sets them apart.

Our initial visit (Nov. 2024) to Range USA in Hanover Park we were anxious until we walked through the doors of a clean, well lit, welcoming retail environment with professional and friendly staff! After spending two hours with Victor, learning about the memberships, course offerings, and going through specific guns, we realized we found our range. We took the basic firearms course and became members, in short order. In Jan. 2025, we took a private lesson with Victor and he was as gracious, knowledgeable, and amenable as we remembered. The breadth of experience and his ability to connect with different people allows his observations and corrections to be spot on. We cannot thank him enough! Victor is encouraging and truly wants his clients to grow, gain confidence and become proficient, always with the goal of being safe. We highly recommend Victor for private lessons, classes, questions in general.

I attended the 'Advanced Handgun' class, presented by "Victor W", ("Vic"). The 'safety conscious' class included both classroom and range time. The classroom presentation used slides to share Safety Information, Organization introduction, handgun handling & sighting basics and also a preview of each of the range activities. The classroom activities included hands-on practice with SIRT (LASER) handguns/devices. The range activities were partner oriented - one individual shooting while the partner logs the results on the 'Worksheet'. The two-sided-page 'Worksheet' describes the shooting sequence and includes sufficient questions that the activity could be duplicated in the future and the results compared for improvement. The completed 'Worksheet' was filled with handwritten notes - the form could be expanded to two/three pages with a layout to accommodate the scores/results/notes. Vic set-aside some time to instruct/help-me with my 'tactical reload' sequence and also Vic suggested some (tactical reload) 'homework'. I enjoyed Vic's class. His background includes both the Marine Corps and an extensive stint as a Police Officer. Outgoing & Professional, Vic's class was both educational and entertaining. This class was my first experience with 'Range USA'. I've 'signed-up' for a second class based-upon Vic's recommendation.

I recently took the CCL class Victor was our instructor. He has vast knowledge of the Laws and personal law enforcement information along with excellent pistol skills. I enjoyed the experience. Very informative.

Bought 4 guns from them in 3 months then bought one online and had it shipped there and stuck me with a 100.00 transfer fee...there went the deal I got from buying online..screw them never buying anything from them again and it's to bad cause I'm just starting to buy..FU..

Gone are the days of dark, dingy gun shops with crabby staff. The entire experience was very welcoming. I took a 2 day CCL class with Victor W. His practical knowledge went well beyond the curriculum and added a lot to the class. It was also great to have fingerprints taken at conclusion of the class, saved a lot of time. The rest of the staff is great, especially Alex at the counter. Nice store!
