went to the range today around 12:30 in Lane 13 to show a friend of mine how to shoot. it was her first time and we were met with, in my opinion, an aggressive lady who was overseeing the lanes. so much so, we cut our time short because it felt uncomfortable to train with our firearms. my friend was shooting too high and a few rounds hit the ceiling. she comes to correct the behavior with a tone and energy unbecoming of someone trusted to shadow the lanes. my friend unpacks her unloaded rifle. i guess the barrel wasn't pointed down range quick enough. here she comes again with negative energy. my pistol jams. i removed the upper receiver and keep the lower in my bag and in the stall. me and my friend were sharing the lane so i removed myself from the stall and stepped toward the table they have setup behind the lanes with the barrel only. i was told to return to the stall with my firearm? again, not a positive tone or interaction. we left shortly after that. I'm sure her concerns were valid, but how we were spoken to was unnecessary. funny thing is, she said something prior about being a competition shotgun shooter to some other patrons. so i thought we had someone who was understanding of new shooters. NOPE. she came off as a passive aggressive know it all with very little people skills. this and my last few visits were very similar. just uncomfortable and unfun. i gave it the college try. since the rebrand this place has changed ALOT and not for the better, in my opinion. if you like shooting here, i hope your experiences continue to be positive and friendly! however, i'll be looking for another place to shoot and suggest others do as well. EDIT: Their response to my criticism should further prove my point to the tone deafness of this company/or maybe this location specifically? I criticize how i was spoken to, they respond with rules and policies. Take away from that what you will.

I really liked coming here at first. IΓÇÖm a first time shooter and me and my husband have been coming here since August so he can teach me. The last time we went was sunday 1/26, around 11:30am. My husband fired his revolver a little too fast and while he shouldnΓÇÖt have done so, we were confronted incredibly aggressively by the guy monitoring the stalls. He came over immediately and started SCREAMING at us, telling my husband that he will kick him out next time he does that. Now, I understand that people need to raise their voices in the shooting range because of the guns going off. However, 0 guns were going off when he confronted us. Not only that, but he yelled at us in front of so many people. It was frustrating, uncomfortable and I would have to say- WAY too aggressive in a place where there are so many firearms. He also screamed at another guy while we were there, and was very aggressive to both us. However, when others would come in and fire their guns fast, he said and did NOTHING. He decided not to say anything to those he was friendly with. This whole situation left a horrible taste in my mouth, I couldnΓÇÖt even tell management while I was there because I was so shocked to have someone do that to my husbandΓÇö who is NOT a childΓÇö be screamed at by a grown man who got WAY too angry with him. This confrontation could have gone so much better had he just stayed calm and told him not to shoot so fast in a kinder manner. This experience has soured my view of this place. IΓÇÖm not sure when IΓÇÖll be back, and I might have my husband cancel his membership.

Update- 11/16/24 Where do I start... On 11/15/24, I went with a relative to shoot his new pistol. He wanted to make sure it functioned reliably before he carried it. I went with him to help and make sight adjustments if needed. We were advised no sight adjustments were allowed at the range. Safety issues. With a RSO there, could he make sure the weapon was safe and unloaded so we could make adjustments? Yeah. But, hey, no problem. It's your house. Your rules. The big guy at the counter was professional. The guy was just doing his job. Not an issue. 11/16/2024- I went to the range to get some trigger time. There was a couple in the lane to my right and a solo shooter in the lane to my left. The guy to my left decided to do speed reloading drills. Cool... except he is standing way back from the counter and I'm in front of his muzzle. I look to my left, see his muzzle flash and think it best to stop what I'm doing and get behind the guy so I don't get shot. Craig S, the RSO said nothing. But, I can't adjust sights on a pistol because it's unsafe. Got it. But, wait...Oh...It gets better. The male part of the dynamic duo to my right is instructing the female in preparation for her LTC class. He is telling her to lock the slide back on the loaded pistol she is holding. She can't do it. So, both of them at the same time are trying to lock the slide back on a loaded pistol. Craig S., the RSO is standing right behind them and says nothing. The female is now upset and tells her dude that she is flustered and upset and wants to stop. Craig S. says nothing. It gets better... Then the guy asks Craig S. if during the LTC course she will have to unload her firearm and lock the slide back. Craig S. replies, "There is no reason to ever have to do that. If you ever pull your gun, just empty the clip (his words). Because that's exactly what Police Officers are trained to do." I'm not sure what to say. I mean, if you go...May the odds be in your favor. I think I'll find another range after today. First Review- I took the LTC course on 9/8/2024. My instructor was named Spencer. I am a retired 25 year Deputy Sheriff and also a US Paratrooper. I can tell you this, the class is worth the time and money. I learned quite a bit. The course is full of legal stuff pertinent to Texas LTC. Spencer kept it interesting and it flowed smoothly. My hat is off to him. Good instruction and interaction with the class was top notch. ****Pro Tip**** this is not a beginner firearms class. They do not teach you how to shoot, how your firearm functions, malfunctions etc. This is a class on the legality of carrying a firearm and where you can and canΓÇÖt carry. You need to be proficient with your firearm BEFORE taking this class. Even an old dog can learn new things. Thank you to Spencer and Range USA.

My friend was turned away for being Hispanic. They asked "Do you even have ID?" She did have ID and she showed it to them. They then asked her "Well, where are you from?" She told them she is from Mexico. She was immediately dismissed, with just a "Bye." It was disgusting, but exactly what we expected from this area and also this particular demographic. Pathetic. Edit: She is a U.S Citizen, with a Texas ID. The same Texas ID that was shown to your staff, so they knew she wasnΓÇÖt ΓÇ£visiting.ΓÇ¥ Thank you for your useless response.

Lemme start by saying that this is a nice rang with informed staff who care about safety a. They also have some VERY nice rental’s and decent pricing👍🏽 and I wasn’t going to leave a review about this until I saw someone else had also had THE SAME THING happen as well and after speaking with a buddy who owns a rang out of state to ask if these are normal questions, I wanted to leave my comments and thoughts about this situation, this way hopefully the next time myself or someone else call’s or visit’s it’s a more enjoyable and informative conversation. I called in to ask if I can shoot with my own handguns with my own ammo because I’m under 21 but DO have a license to carry here in Texas. I was told “NO” in a very rude tone which I don’t care about I’m sure the other person was having a bad day, but what I do care about and why this place is getting a 1 start, is how like one of the reviews mentioned the person on the other end Turned into a “AFT agent” Why does this rang want to know how, why and when I got my LTC? I got asked more questions by the person on the phone than I did by the state when I filed for my license to carry LOL.

Let me start with. These people sucks, rude and think they are the know it all of laws and firearms. Let me also start by saying IΓÇÖm almost out the police academy so I think that gives me a little understanding of Texas law. I had a buddy who was 20 years old walk in and ask if he can shoot HIS handgun with HIS ammo at the rang, keep in mind we are both LICENSED HANDGUN OWNERS! We were immediately told NO in an aggressive manner, after which the CASHIER turned into a ATF agent and started asking all types of questions. ΓÇ£How he got it, where he got it from and saying stuff like heΓÇÖs not supposed to have itΓÇ¥ and gave us the old Texas law saying ( a person needs to be 21 or older to get the handgun license) after informing him that is no longer the case and Texas has changed the law to allow people 18 years or order but not 21yet to also get the handgun license. He immediately started getting aggressive again telling us ΓÇ£He checked the law 3 months agoΓÇ¥ this was an older gentleman so IΓÇÖm sure heΓÇÖs just stuck in his caveman mindset of having some sort of superiority complex because of his age but I donΓÇÖt think itΓÇÖs good to have someone giving false information and being aggressive AT THE FRONT!!! Even when I lived in the area of this rang and had a monthly membership with them, I would still choose to drive 25 miles more just so I can go to a different rang with different workers who actually understand the law and didnΓÇÖt aggressively push their incorrect beliefs about the law onto me! Every time someone tells me they are coming here I always point them in the direction of a different gun rang and will continue to do sense this place his an absolute joke of one.

Signed up for a handgun class and the lady at the counter seemed like she was disappointed I wasn't white haha. If you're not white in this range, be ready to feel unwelcomed and judged. And they charge you more extra money for rentals and ammo and the lesson cost doesn't include it. The instructor was great though.

I recently visited Range USA for the first time and was impressed by the facility and its extensive selection. After signing up and getting a lane, I noticed that my optic mount was loose. When I asked the front desk to borrow a tool to tighten it, I was told that they no longer lend out tools because one had previously gone missing. I was surprised that a single lost tool would lead to a policy that negatively affects customers. With the shooting lanes being timed, I couldnΓÇÖt go home to get my own tool, so I ended up using my friendsΓÇÖ firearms instead. I believe customer service should come first. A past issue with a lost tool shouldnΓÇÖt dictate how you treat your customers. Adapting to ensure a positive experience is key.
