Range USA Naperville

Q: Highly recommended!! Very nice place to shoot pistol or rifle! Nice friendly staffs and one of the cleanest range in Illinois! 👍👍
A: Very clean. Wish i could say the same about their rentals though :( wasted way too much time messing about with malfunctions on most of the rentals.

I took private handgun instruction with Thomas Chow and it was the best money I could spend to receive an excellent introduction to handguns. Thomas is experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and communicates instruction so a student like me can retain and use on the range. I will be following up with Thomas for a future lesson. With regards to the Naperville Range USA location, this was my first visit on 2/19 and I was impressed and will recommend to others.

Instructors are great, place is clean, and the employees are friendly. Of course, half the lanes are out of order right now, and they don't have D-Lead soap to wash your hands.

Wait times are incredibly long. The staff is completely unaware of the gun laws and how to handle the paperwork. We hard to return 2 additional times because the staff had us doing paperwork incorrectly.

Very competent and honest service. Better selection than some of their other stores in other cities. Overall, Range USA is a great destination and retailer for enthusiasts.

IΓÇÖve been wanting to learn how to safely and responsibly handle guns. My husband and I took a private lesson with Vivian and she was AMAZING. SheΓÇÖs so knowledgeable and passionate. 1000% could not recommend her more. The private lesson was informative and started with classroom basics and transitioned to hands on training on the range. If youΓÇÖre wanting to learn and are a true beginner you will be in the best hands with Vivian. Great location and all the employees have been helpful, safety conscious, and kind.

I had completed an online firearms basics course and wanted to continue with in-person instruction. I specifically chose a female instructor, hoping she would be enthusiastic, kind, and patient. Before leaving home, I stated to my husband, "I hope the instructor is nice because I am nervous." When I arrived at Range USA, I asked for help and was directed to the classroom. My instructor, Vivian, immediately made me feel comfortable. She reassured me that being nervous was a good thing because it meant I would be more focused and attentive, ready to apply what I was learning at the range. Vivian was not only supportive and funny but also a great teacher. She offered helpful and constructive feedback that I truly appreciated. I highly recommend Vivian to anyone looking for firearms training.

You canΓÇÖt rent a firearm here if itΓÇÖs your first time at the store and youΓÇÖre alone. GAT Guns doesnΓÇÖt do this but theyΓÇÖre an hour away from where I live. So much for wanting to test out and buy a gun. I wonΓÇÖt be purchasing anything from this store due to this. Edit for the response from the owner: This is the dumbest safety protocol I have ever heard of. ItΓÇÖs only for first time visitors, so does that mean if I walk out of the store and walk back in, IΓÇÖd be allowed to rent one? A second person doesnΓÇÖt guarantee an increase in safety. It usually has the opposite effect because your focus is now divided due to there being another person with you. Based on the other bad reviews IΓÇÖm seeing here, IΓÇÖm glad I didnΓÇÖt purchase from this store. So the only thing your safety protocol did was save me from a bad purchase. IΓÇÖll thank you for that one, at least.

This business is unethical, they take in used guns without test firing to be sure they work(which is company policy to test fire). Resell them under the promise they do work, only to bring the gun straight from their counter to their range for the gun not to work, they then try telling you that you must have done something while it was under your ownership to create the malfunction of the gun. While selling the gun back to them(because they dont accept returns, even on product they misrepresented as good and usable condition) they never once test fired the gun before they bought it back from me. And not even 24hrs after buy back, they set the broken, unusable gun in their sales case for used guns. Even contacting their corporate office of the matter and them confirming this was against company policy and it was in fact unethical to knowingly sell a broken gun that was never tested, it still is available for sale after a week of corporate and store management knowing this issue. Buyer beware of purchasing from this company/location. Update to owner response: Thank you for clarifying your team did in fact NOT follow your company policy. I sold back the gun I originally purchased from you and told your store manager the firearm did NOT work. Your team never test fired the gun I sold back to you, that never actually worked to begin with, and immediately put it back on the sales floor, KNOWING it did not work. Nobody in this company is taking ownership of the fact you are selling an item untested, broken and it's all unethical from a customers view point.
