Range USA North Richland Hills

Q: Thanks to Grant yeaterday and answering all of my questions i purchased a Ruger EC9 for a very reasonable price. He was patient and knowledgeable. Thanks Grant.. Now working on my membership to the range there!
A: Probably the best Indoor Range I have ever been to. Employees are spectacularly nice!
- Jim Clark, N5QL (6 years ago)
A: How much is a membership
- Blondie Dez (5 years ago)
Q: Is there a ladies night?
A: Yes. There is a Lady Sure Shots class on the 2nd of saturday of every month.
- Gundalf The Gray (3 months ago)
Q: Do you have a gunsmith?
A: More or less. AR type part changer sometimes present if you consider that a smith I went to resident school 2 years and 2 years apprentice ship. I am not an AR gunsmith..
- Billy Davis (5 years ago)
A: No gunsmith.
- Travis Gray (10 months ago)
Q: Can I take a minor to learn how to shoot?
A: Yes. The RSO and staff will ensure proper range safety prior to going down range. And assist with any questions you may have.
- Charles Bonner (6 years ago)
A: Yes
- Eric K (6 years ago)
A: Yup
- Jeff Sacks (6 years ago)
A: What they said
- Billy Davis (6 years ago)
Q: Who's the best Associate there?
A: Scott is pretty helpful. Though I have found they all are pretty knowledgeable.
- Philip Montgomery (6 years ago)
A: They have several people that are pretty helpful! I can't remember all the names but a guy Allan helped me with some issues I had a couple of days ago and he was really helpful.
- Corrie Olsen (6 years ago)
Q: How old do have to be to use the shoting range and if under 18 can i use a hunting license
A: I've asked previously... and am taking my 9 year old today. With adult supervision, minors are ok.
- Bronson Yake (6 years ago)
A: Despite being legally able to possess a long gun under 18 they will not allow you to shoot.
- Travis Gray (10 months ago)
A: A minor (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, they like for minors to be taller than 48 inches to use the range. (The shooting line has shelves 48 inches off the floor)
- RWPowell1966 (4 years ago)
A: Yep. Took my 8 year old. If you're with a minor you cannot RENT a handgun, but you CAN rent a rifle. If it's your gear, that's your business.
- Landon Foster (5 years ago)
A: Since legally you have to be 18+ to buy shotguns and long guns and then 21 for handguns, I bet they follow those laws for handling them as well. Most businesses do
- Spencer Woods (6 years ago)
Q: On the 25 yard rifle range, will they permit me to fire my Barrett M99 .50 BMG rifle? I have .50 BMG cartridges that are loaded with jacketed/lead core or jacketed/steel core sptizers, as well as some that are loaded with AP bullets.
A: Why would you want to fire .50 BMG on a 25-yard range?
- Jeremy D. (6 years ago)
A: Sounds like a troll.
- Billy C (5 years ago)
A: Lol a .50 on an indoor range? What's the point?
- Billy Cole (6 years ago)
A: Dont think so. But you can at qual creek
- Craig Alex (7 years ago)
A: No. No 50 no steel core, no AP.
- Travis Gray (10 months ago)
Q: Conceal carry licensing?
A: They have a class and more information on what all that class provides on their website!
- Mary Smith (5 years ago)
Q: Did you know that your ad popped up on fox news website right after article about the church shooting and Trumps response to shootings. Philip Rifenbury
A: Thank you for letting us know! We do not have any control on where our ads pop up!
- Range USA North Richland Hills (a year ago)
A: Good publicity, local shooting, shoot point blank is the place to learn and arm yourself. Great store, great range spectacular company.
- Dustin Cain (5 years ago)
A: The company has nothing to do with where the ads are placed but everything to do with your search cookies.
- Randall T (6 years ago)
A: bad publicity
- Jessica Garcia (7 years ago)
A: Whos ad are you referring to?
- tadd mansilla (7 years ago)

I was lied to and duped into getting a gift card and now they won't refund it. They quoted me a price, told me their system is down and I have to come back in the morning. Now they won't honor the price. jack the manager said its my choice don't doesn't matter what Carson says. now I'm S.O.L and they have stolen my money. Do not trust them. they don't care about customers

*****updating my review******couldn’t give 5 stars because of my previous visit/experience that I wrote about in my original review. But since then the rep who provided me with the negative experience is no longer there. Because they are semi close to my house (Keller) and they have the best price and membership plan around I went back and literally every time has been a great experience! Every RSO since my run in with Isaac has been very friendly, knowledgeable and most of all ensures everyone’s safety. I really wanted to like this range but after today’s incident I will not be going back!!! I was at the rifle range shooting my 556 and 300blk out getting new scopes sighted in. Then after about 30 minutes of shooting a fat man Karen (never thought I’d run into one of these at a freaking gun range) got there and after a few minutes my wife said she noticed him pacing back and forth and giving me dirty looks. I had no idea what was going on since I was focused on sighting in. The fat man Karen then complained to the range master Isaac that my rifle was too LOUD for him to focus. First don’t blame your crappy grouping on noise. What do expect to happen in a shtf moment tell the bad guys to be quiet cause you can’t focus. Anyways I expected the range master to move him or just tell him to double up on hearing but instead he told ME. MY RIFLE WAS TOO LOUD!!!!!!! Again I was at a gun range in the rifle lane doing everything I am supposed to be doing carefully as I always practice gun safety but then I was told to hay my rifle was an issue. Mind you I have been here before and never had any complaints before today but after the Karen next to me started whining I was honestly shocked and really disappointed that they didn’t move him since I was already set up with multiple rifles out or could have politely asked him to double up on hearing protection but instead Isaac seemed to be upset with me and told me my rifle was just too loud! My setup is a sbr 556 with an Ultradyne compensator and yes it is loud because the adjustable gas ports but that’s why I bought it to help with recoil and muzzle rise. If they were going to ask me to leave even though I pay for a membership they should make it clear or post somewhere that we can’t use certain muzzle devices. Anyways after some back and forth with this Karen he asked me to “step outside” and I smiled and said are you an idiot I’m armed, live in Texas and my wife is with me so I will defend myself so you wouldn’t be much of a fight. He got real quiet after that but my day was already ruined so I packed up and left. While leaving I spoke with a different range master outside and he 100%agreed with me that there are no restrictions and that people should be well aware that if you go to a gun range that you will hear some noise, common sense people. Anyways don’t go here if you want to practice or sight in your rifle!! I’m also going to reach out to corp to get their official stance on my situation and what their official policies are because this experience was absolutely shocking and again really disappointed in the way that Isaac replied to the situation. Instead of asking the Karen to put in secondary earmuffs that I would have even given his broke ass some plug ins to shut him up but Isaac saw that I had my silencer central tshirt on and asked if I could put on my suppressor. I told him I don’t have it on this rifle and then he said yeah it’s just too loud….. I honestly feel like they infringed on my second amendment rights by instituting a too loud policy just for me and in a gun range of all places where you would think there are like minded people who are aware and experienced with firearms and the sounds and concussions felt but this place is no longer the place for me. Again very disappointed in the way this was handled and really felt like it was something personal with me but who knows I won’t be back to find out.

The range used to be good and I wonΓÇÖt be back after today. I went in and tried to do a trade-in and I was told it was not worth anything. I was referred to a pawn shop. I went to their competitor and I was able to get an offer. I was disappointed since IΓÇÖve done trade-ins before and I was happy when I left.

Very nice facility with fantastic customer service! Greeted by Frank with a handshake as soon as I walked in the door. Let him know what I was looking for and that they probably didn't have it yet. Frank still took the time to walk me to the Sig Sauer case to look just to be sure. We confirmed they did not have what I was looking for and he asked if he could show me anything else and took a few minutes to go over specials and the range. I don't think I went 5 minutes the entire time i was there without someone checking to see if I needed assistance with anything. Will definitely be checking back with these guys for my next gun purchase. 2/22/2025: Another fantastic visit to Range USA today. Jacob was very helpful with my latest firearm purchase.

I went there a few weeks ago for my first time, and overall, it was a great experience. I signed up for the premium package. The woman at the counter was very informative and helped me pick out a couple of guns to try; she answered all my questions. However, when I went onto the range, I had a few complications, and the range instructor seemed a bit irritated helping me. He may have been having a bad day, but eventually, I got to a point where I didn't want to bother him with any more questions, so I left. I've been back since and had another instructor who was helpful. I'd recommend going it's a good range and overall the people are cool and friendly.

ROs have been excellent and glad to see an increase in staff. I typically have not had to wait more than a couple of minutes although suggest creating a completely different check-in line for Members. I also suggest replacing the target backers a bit more frequently.

Range USA on 820 is always clean and usually has lanes open. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a membership their ammo prices are awesome. The only thing that I would like to see is updated target sleds with digital controls. Don't get me wrong their analog systems are well maintained and work.

Went into the store on Saturday at 5:45 to make a purchase of a pistol I had already researched There were no other customers in the store except one other guy looking pistols at another counter. Four employees were gathered near the terminal on the northeast corner of the showroom having a non-business conversation. Not one of them greeted me as I walked past them on the way to my intended counter. A few minutes went by and no one cared to help me so I walked right past the same employees as I left the store without my purchase.

Gave the Richland Hills Range USA a try as the Arlington site was terrible. The crew at the Richland Hills site were courteous, helpful, informative. The range was run smoothly. Had a large rush of people and they were processed and assigned lanes promptly. Great selection of accessories and firearms

Great class with Garth as instructor. He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. He provided instruction and had us perform the task. Highly recommend. The NRH Range USA is a great facility, well stocked and great staff. Just had our second class with Garth this time was for handguns. Again, he is very professional and knowledgeable. He followed through with us on the range after the formal instruction session. He is an excellent instructor and we continue to recommend him for your training requirements.

Edit November 2024: went again due to my shooting partner saying he hadn't seen that particular associate since I'd gone a month ago and he insisted I give it another chance. Well, the associates were back to normal again, the one guy wasn't there, and it was a very good experience, (was acknowledged by the desk, no yelling while checking in when only two feet away, gave us a lane, range officer checked in when first entering and after shooting). That's all I wanted, like it used to be. No drama. So I've updated the review to reflect this. I've bought three guns from Range USA/formerly Shoot Point Blank and generally have had a good experience. They have a really nice selection to choose from and/or can order something in most times if need be. Their ammo is nicely priced for members, too. Edit October 2024: they must've fired all the associates from before. The past few times I've gone, they've been hit or miss. Sometimes they treat me rather well, talk to me normally, make eye contact, you know, the regular way Southern people treat each other. Other times, like recently, they're likely to toss your driver's license back at you instead of handing it back or even simply placing it on the table; talk about you behind your back; don't even go up to you when you're at the sales desk; say really loudly "you only have 40 minutes to shoot", you know, stuff most people would consider a kinda rude way of dealing with people. I went one hour and 10 minutes before closing, but I didn't even need the whole hour, or 40 minutes even, my party of two total people stayed in the lane less than 30 minutes. There was a party of 5 people behind us who seemed to be new to the range because they were all signing range waivers. They were still shooting along with at least four other lanes when we left. The safety officer inside the range was cool though. Was not rude at all. Were they mad that all these people were coming one hour or so before closing? I don't know. Then say no new shooters after 630pm. The rules don't say that though. Me and my shooting buddy are both premium members, too. I'm currently looking for a different range or a different Range USA to go to. Original post 5 years ago: Great place for gun rentals. The staff at the rental area was very friendly and knowledgeable. The place is clean and the pistols/guns were clean. The safety officer on range was respectful enough to not hover, yet remained nearby enough to be cautious and aware. With her there, I felt the range was in safe hands. While the place and the prices are fine and fair, the people and service are what sets this place apart imo.
