Q: Why are you guys only open on the weekends? I just recently bought a pistol and have nowhere to shoot it since I have no way to Eureka and am only off on Thursdays and Fridays😞
A: Hi Tyler, Yes, we are only open on weekends. Our Range Safety Officers are all members of the club who volunteer their time to open our range every weekend of the year. Weekends just better serve the majority of the public and members who make use of the range. On weekdays, we have some club groups that shoot specific disciplines, with some days reserved for law enforcement training and qualifications. Alan Richmond Vice President Redwood Gun Club

Q: Is there trap/skeet/clays or just a rifle/pistol range?
A: Sorry, no trap or skeet. 100 and 200 yard rifle and 15 and 25 yard pistol only. For trap and skeet see Humboldt Trap and Skeet in McKinleyville or Eel River Trap and Skeet in Fortuna.

Very professional range. Courteous Range Master's. I was able to use my large caliber revolver at the pistol range after I asked first. I didn't want to startle anyone using a high caliber revolver at the pistol range. They have a very nice rifle range with 100yd and 300yd with steel ding Target also. They have an area for Cowboy Range. I did not ask about this area. It was in use at the time. Great place. Bring ID , Cash and all safety equipment.
