Rooftop Shooting Range

Excellent range north of Dallas! Pete is an awesome guy, has a very convenient self serve supply of targets and other range gear that we commonly might forget. The range is kept very well, bays have steel targets and marked distances. There are posts, barricades and other vision barriers to set up drills and stages if you would like. Great community and my only outdoor range for practicing now.

This is a fantastic place to train and learn about shooting. Peter is amazing especially with any FFL/sot transfers nfa or otherwise. He offers a wide array of products to try and sample on site in addition to the friendly community atmosphere you want in a training environment. I definitely recommend a membership and the classes you will learn plenty and have a fantastic time doing so. 10/10 my favorite range in DFW Update over a year in. This range is on track to keep growing and the amenities keep getting better for the general public but even more so for members. If you do not have a membership I recommend you get one now. The rooftop community is a wonderful group..

Awesome range. Was a semi-regular of ETTS but decided to try Rooftop and have made the permanent switch (despite comin from Ft. Worth). Range has a ton of amenities and the owner is committed to putting customers #1

Very nice, well maintained, multiple use range that you can utilize for most training you could ever want. Great mix of steel already set up for use. Pete (Owner) came by the bay to check up on what was going on. He stayed and chatted for a while about shotguns. He's super knowledgeable and professional. I could tell that he cares alot and has a passion for what he does. If you are looking for a place to shoot and get in some reps while in a safe environment. Look no further! This is the spot! I can't wait to go back, and I only left a few hours ago.

This range is far superior to any I've been to in a good long while. They are intelligent, safe, and effective. I highly suggest stopping in to say hello and maybe catch a training class. He has several high-level national instructors put seminars and classes on here as well. Great people Great place

By far the best range I've ever stepped foot in.... Each bay has everything you could possibly want or need (steel, stands for uspsa and paper targets, tables, trash cans, canopy for cover....he's literally thought of it all) The owner is an amazing guy and will help you with everything. Convenient and easy access for members. Strong emphasis on safety. The owner even created a discord channel to help build a strong community. I found a second home with rooftop shooting range! 10/10 highly recommend!

An outdoor range that allows you to practice for real. The owner is polite and knowledgeable, and just a great guy. With a self checkout feature superior to boot, this place is private and secure. IΓÇÖd bring some chairs and your creature comforts, but youΓÇÖll have a grating practicing and learning.

Best shooting range in DFW! Safe and well built shooting bays, PCSL matches are fun and very well run. But best of all is the excellent community that has formed at Rooftop. 👏

My one and only outdoor range I go too. Pete provides the steel targets, sprinkled throughout each bay, along with cardboard stands. Convenient checkin makes everything go smooth since I havenΓÇÖt been able to find the time to commit to a membership.

First time there, awesome range, this will become my home range due to the facility and the great customer service. I'm new to TX and have been to three other ranges that are not conducive to using a chronograph Peter was very helpful and posted targets for us and drove us on his 4 wheeler with all our gear, (sled, chronograph etc)

This is an amazing facility, way better than etts. Pete has done an awesome job with both the bay setup and the layout of the whole property. I went on a weekday and there was one other shooter in the whole place. The only part that I didnΓÇÖt absolutely love was the entrance and daily rate (itΓÇÖs $50). The price isnΓÇÖt crazy but the website doesnΓÇÖt mention to ring the call system at the gate, so I stood there looking like an idiot looking on the website for a minute. No rsoΓÇÖs watching your every move, Pete had a safety chat with me and then sent me to go have fun. I will be back.

Rooftop Gun Range is hands down the best place to shoot in the area! Pete and the team always puts customer service first, making sure everyone feels welcome and taken care of while maintaining a safety first environment. The culture here is fantasticΓÇömembers are always willing to help each other out, creating a supportive and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just starting, this is the place to be. Highly recommend.

Rooftop is a fantastic shooting facility, but it's even more than that. The owner, Peter, is thoroughly invested not only in the range, but in the community. He takes the time to coach shooters on the range, host matches, take feedback, and constantly improve the range and experience.

My two kids, wife and I just finished a shooting class with Peter and it has exceeded our expectation. Peter was very organized and knowledgeable. Most importantly, you can see he is passionate about what he does. The class was very informative. My wife said she catches herself asking too many questions but later on realized he has every step set up so well that you really just have to be patient and follow him. Highly recommend the class and the shooting range!

Amazing shooting range, the owner is the nicest guy, drives around says hello, no annoying range officers, you get a bay all to yourself, rapid fire is ok here. They also have training classes, PCSL competitions, and Night shoot events so bring tour night vision and thermals. This place really feels like friendly community, no gun snobs, no jerks, just a really nice friendly dudes running this place. Great for testing out your gear, or just meeting like minded guys and enjoying the camaraderie of the gun community. I was previously a member at ETTS, and this place is way better, and doesnΓÇÖt have long wait times, just back your car into the bay also, metal targets! I highly recommend this place!

This is the most based range I've ever been to. The owner is a great guy and experienced shooter, hence a great shooting experience when you visit. Great layout and safe rules, but not over the top like most fudd ranges (literally every other one in the DFW area) . 10/10!

The team and community that has grown here is second to none. They have ambitions to be the one stop shop for all things training and recreational shooting related, and are pouring efforts into making sure they have the best local matches that are accessible by the average joe to come out and level up, learn new skills, and build their own communities.

Rooftop is THE premier range in NTX. So far itΓÇÖs the only range that allows rifle caliber north of Dallas. The equipment is well stocked and maintained. The amenities are fantastic and the self checkout shop always has what you need. The bays are large and you can do dynamic shooting and moving around, using barricades, shoot at steel, or go the distance at the 150 yard rifle bay Peter is a great guy and is building a solid community. Come out to plink or challenge yourself at one of our competition shooting matches!

Great range, owner knows what heΓÇÖs doing, membership fees are reasonable. Other patrons are willing to help out if youΓÇÖre having a problem, and youΓÇÖll frequently find people open to have you joining them for a quick practice drill!

This range became my new ΓÇ£homeΓÇ¥ range. Used to be a chore to go to the range on that other range, now itΓÇÖs a good weekly trip here. Pete is awesome, down to earth, great guy overall! Taylor is also wonderful, they all are good people! Remy is a sweetie, always asking for belly rub! Now to the range: I love the steel targets, barricades, target stands, ease of purchasing targets/accessories in their self pay booth, machine gun rentals, classes by renowned instructors. IΓÇÖm glad itΓÇÖs growing, and IΓÇÖm also glad theyΓÇÖre doing their competition stuff to help people get into shooting more. I donΓÇÖt go here on the weekends but I can imagine itΓÇÖd get busy busy. If youΓÇÖre in DFW donΓÇÖt hesitate to make the drive!

Rooftop is the best shooting range in Dallas! The owners are great! Pete and everyone that works there have helped to create a community that is welcoming to shooters of all skill levels. The range offers a great place to shoot, get training, and to compete. I highly recommend checking it out if you live nearby or you are visiting the area.

Rooftop Shooting Range is THE premier location for anyone who takes shooting seriously. The facilities are ample, organized and clean. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I personally make the trip all the way from Austin a couple times a month in order to get quality training in with PeteΓÇÖs Tac-Bays and 150 yd outdoor rifle range!

Cannot say enough good things about Rooftop. It transformed my range visits from just going to shoot mindlessly to going and focusing on practical skills and learning about myself and where I am as a shooter. Peter is a wealth of knowledge and one of the nicest people I know. Go out there and shoot with a purpose!
