I dealt with Mitchell about an online order which was a bit complicated. He was extremely helpful and responsive, going far above and beyond anything I expected. A great experience overall, with good pricing and quick shipping. I would not hesitate to do business with these folks again in the future (in fact, I hope I do!).

I think a one star rating is fair, because technically I got the certificate that I came for. I attended a basic handgun safety class on December 10th. It was a two and a half hour class, and despite not being new to handguns, I was hoping I would receive some new and helpful information as I explored the possibility of concealed carrying. Based on my experienced, if condensed, the course consisted of MAYBE a half hour of actual, objective discussion on firearm safety and handling, stance and grip, etc. The rest of the two hours consisted of the instructor spewing his garbage political takes and making outdated and offensive comments to an unfortunately captive audience that paid for the privilege. Even made a comment out of left field while chuckling about people with dwarfism trying to fit "their little 'paws'" around a pistol grip. Ironically, the instructor complained at the end about how two and a half hours wasn't enough time to teach the material. You might find it easier than you think if you actually focus on teaching what you're supposed to and not pathetically whining about what you don't like about the political state of the country. Oh, and if you're going to insist on complaining about the "communist" gun control in California, why don't you cover the Mulford Act when you go over that "module"?

I've visited the range twice in the past month, both times on the "hybrid" lane which goes out to 50 yards. The lanes are in decent shape, although the lighting could be significantly improved. The targets could be better lit, and there is no lighting in the shooting booth to speak of. I often needed to use a flashlight to load mags or find equipment. The $10 fee to sign an electronic waiver is excessive, in my opinion, and left me feeling like they will do whatever they can to make a quick cash grab. If the waiver involved a staff member's time, I'd understand. But ten bucks just to fill out a form online? Come on. It is, however, a place where you can go to shoot inside on a cold or rainy day, and the lanes are separated by insulation and thick glass to help minimize the noise.

A good friend of mine and I came in to look at potential concealed carry pistols. The staff member we talked to (I regret I didn't get his name) was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and freely shared his advice and experience. Despite the fact that we were just looking, and not making a purchase that day, he gave us a great deal of time and attention, and answered all our questions thoughtfully. Additionally, the store itself was spacious, clean, welcoming, and much more inviting than many gun stores I've frequented in the past. I will be making purchases here in the future and would definitely recommend this store for first-time buyers and gun collectors alike.

The staff try to treat you like you're an idiot and talk down to you. I had a question about legal stuff that I was referred to them to ask and when mentioned about about making your own weapon which is legal in Virginia the man proceeded to try to tell me that it was illegal and that it was illegal to speak about it in a fla registered place. Then proceeded to get even more rude. Place doesn't know their own laws. Place is rude. Place is a joke honestly. Don't come here take your money elsewhere. Re: Nothing illegal planned or talked about found out that if anyone goes to make their own they are required to file an ATF form 1 and put a serial number on it and own all machinery used can't rent or borrow anything. Don't appreciate the suggestion that something illegal was planned.

Drove over an hour because I was told Mondays are good day for revolvers. Not too busy. Website says range open at 9am. Got there only to find out range isnΓÇÖt open until 4pm. And not a great neighborhood by all the grills on window homes along the way. WonΓÇÖt be going there again.

Complete novice here with handguns. Everyone exceptionally friendly. Dealt with a young woman when I first came in. She was very patient with me. LOL. Then James handled the purchase and the going over everything. Super nice and VERY knowledgeable. Have to admit I was nervous going in, but felt very comfortable when I left!

Attended a recent CCW Class. 2 Stars for just leaving with the certificate, no other positives to report. First 30 minutes was the USCCA rep putting on a sales scare to enroll into their insurance in case of a self defense incident. Would have been nice to just be presented with the info and let the adults decide if it's right for them, and if they needed to research further before enrolling. Felt like a "as seen on TV" infomercial along with a free gift if you act now. The rest of the class could have been taught in about 45 minutes without forcing folks to sit through a 2 hour dog and pony show of senseless theatrics to try to prove a point. I guess I just expected a little more professionalism.

Love this place. Courteous, very knowledgeable staff. They really know about what they do and sell. Willing to answer questions and help you get better, or help you make a pick from their large selection of weapons for purchase. Highly recommend giving them a visit!

Had a great time shooting with my husband. David, the lane safety staffer was super helpful in guiding us on grips and stances. I was grateful he took it upon himself to give us pointers. He is Super knowledgeable and made it a great experience! Thank you David!

A great place to go! The gun range is very will run and very safe. The axe throwing area is very fun with very nice coaches helping you to learn to throw and to keep everyone safe and having fun

Went in to the store to buy a gun gone to transfer the money I had saved up for the gun i was wanting to Purchase and instantly acted as if I was a criminal and acted as if i was straw purchasing a gun and proceeded to act as if I was doing something wrong even up after they sold me the gun gone out of the way to try and act as if i was doing something wrong again and said the comment of here is the serial number "just incase it goes missing in the parking lot" But didn't know I have many license for firearms and my ccw

Went in for a concealed carry class, received about 10 minutes of actual learning and 2 hours and 20 minutes of a clown act. The instructors antics were very unprofessional and unpleasant. I did not come there to listen to someone's opinions on lgbtq community, their politics, their intolerance for anyone different from them. I had every intention of looking at a firearm they had in stock to see if it was a fit and possibly make the purchase but after all that I truly did not feel welcome. I've used your range and made purchases there in the past but as it is now I think I'm going to be going elsewhere

This place does not open at 9 am as stated, but 10 am. Retail showroom has only 1 salesperson. If someone calls, then that salesperson skips the person in the store, walks 100 feet away to see if they have a gun in stock, and then goes back to the in store customer. If your customer # 2, you are screwed. best betis to to leave and go to doomsday tactical right up the street. Better prices, super friendly staff ( 3 salespersons) and better inventory. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Employees are knowledgeable, but very rude and smug. Was told this was a good store, however I had quite the opposite experience. Took our business elsewhere that day for a STELLAR experience compared to Safe Side… You’d probably have a better experience at a pawn shop. Lost 2 good paying customers that day. I don’t usually leave reviews but when we walk out questioning why we even went there in the first place instead of quite literally anywhere else, it’s hard not too. Do not recommend.
