Questions & Answers

Q: What are the fees

A: If you have your own shotgun, ammo, hearing protection and eye protection, we only charge for the targets (currently $9.25+tax for a round of 25 targets of skeet or trap). If you don't have your own equipment, we rent guns and sell the rest.

Q: I am looking for lessons on shooting as defense and gun safety for ownership use and defense purposes only and safety for entire family.

A: SAGC is a shotgun-only shooting facility. No pistols or rifles are allowed at all. I would recommend either Nardis Gun Club or Mission Ridge for handgun classes.

A: Our current rates (9/24/2019) are $5.00 to rent a shotgun, $6.50 per box of 25 shells, and $9.25 per round of 25 targets for skeet or trap.

A: SAGC is a shotgun-only shooting facility. No pistols or rifles are allowed at all. That being said, there are instructors that can help you learn how to shoot skeet and trap.

Best outdoor range in San Antonio. Very professional and knowledgable staff. I pretty much go there every other week. Love their skeet stations. Definitely recommend this place.

Didn't know that this place existed. Nestled a short ways away from the quarry market. Clays and shells cost about $25 per game. Don't have a shotgun? No problem, they'll rent you and amazing O/U for $10. They have some of the best instructors, literally. Great spot for an afternoon of shooting.

The San Antonio Gun Club is a true gem! My good friend Matt that used to shoot for Trinity University has always talked it up and took me for the first time today on my visit in town from Denver. Not only did I run my first 25/25 on American trap but I was able to shoot Bunker trap and skeet all in one facility! IΓÇÖve been to other shotgun clubs in other states of this caliber and they have mostly been pretentious; SAGC is the complete opposite! Michael, the manger at the front desk was enthusiastic, friendly, and very helpful during my visit. The club has a great layout, relaxed environment, and welcoming to all skill levels. My friend and I met one of the gals on the USA team and she walked us through bunker trap, thanks again Nicole M!

We have been coming here for a couple of years and itΓÇÖs always a great experience. We came with a big group from our team. Some with little to no experience with shooting. They made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. Made sure we had all the safety information and precautions needed. They made it almost as if we had rented out the entire place. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

SAGC is a piece of San Antonio history in operation for over a century. Dedicated to promoting the shotgun sports. The management and staff are always helpful and more importantly the membership are open and friendly to anyone interested in learning trap and skeet. A relaxing place to improver your shotgun skills and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
