Had a last minute fix on a rifle as I came in from out of town. Great help by the staff and it is much better than shooting cans.

This range has the best atmosphere and most bang-for-the-buck of any range IΓÇÖve ever been to. Bill the range master was a wealth of knowledge, incredibly helpful, and even cooked brats for us on the BBQ! And he does this for free as a volunteer! The range provided everything needed - targets, tri-pods, sighting scopes, eye & hearing protection, etc. - all for the bargain price of $5. Simply amazing experience. CanΓÇÖt wait to go back!

Great shooting range, the range masters are more than willing to help new shooters sight in their guns and teach them proper safety and shooting techniques.

This place is great! The staff was wonderful, helpful and served free hot dogs on July 3rd! Does it get any better than this??

Open during the winter, .22 calibre only. The Leo Hadley Range hosts hunter education classes, the archery club, the Sandpoint Jr. Rifle Club, the adult pistol club and open shooting among others. A wonderful local resource - staffed by the Bonner County Sportsman's Association.

Left work early to go shoot at the range. Arrived at the range around 4:30-ish. The range was listed on the calendar to be open till 6:30. The range master was standing by the locked gate when I drove up (I gather he had just locked it). I asked him what the deal was, and he said that since there was nobody there at 4, he had locked it all up and was going home. I asked him how often that happens, and he said 'most of the time.' I asked him how a guy was supposed to know if the range was open or not, and he told me I could check the hours on the website. I said I did, and it said it was open till 6:30. He looked rather annoyed with me and told me to maybe try on the weekend, they might be open then, and got in his truck and drove off. I have since asked around, and of the people I have found who have used this range, 100% of them told me that this kind of nonsense is the norm (including one other reviewer here, I see). I will certainly never be back. I don't know why the city even bothers to have a facility like this if they aren't going to manage it so the public can actually use it.

Left work early today to shoot at the Sandpoint range. Arrived at 4pm and the range was scheduled to close at 6:30pm. The two range masters were just locking the gate since "there hasn't been any shooters for an hour." Then another truck drove up with two shooters who had left work early as well. We were told we should have arrived earlier. Too bad for us we have to work for a living. This isn't the first time I've experienced the range closing early.
