Q: Is this location open to civilians? Cost or range? Lane restrictions on caliber?

A: The range is open to civilians, but only after registration, background check, and a mandatory orientation / safety meeting. Expect O(month) delay or more on that. Cost is $50 for the initial background stuff, around $140/yr too. Civilians are restricted to one pistol range (30-35 lanes), and one rifle range (10 lanes). Standing and sitting on a few stools in the pistol range, though the counter on the pistol range is pretty narrow. Pistol allows all pistol calibers, plus rimfire rifles (no 17hmr rifles or 5.7 rifles) and pistol caliber rifles. The left few lanes are set up for 7 or 15 yards or something, the rightmost lanes are set up for only 25 and 50. Rifle range has very large benches (you can double up if people agree), plus it allows three position (prone has to be on top of a long box). Rifle range only allows rifles or a select few rifle caliber pistols. Two lanes are 200 yard, six are only 100, two are 100 or 50. No drawing from holster.

Q: Why is there sounds of gunfire coming from the range at 8:30 at night? Says it's closed.

A: Civilian range closes at 4-4:30. The police sometimes have training until like 9pm. That's posted on SPAA's website at least: https://www.spaarange.com/index.php/about-us I assume Google is just posting the civilian hours.

Q: Can an international visitor (19 yr old) shoot guns for one day?

A: No, unless you know a member. They can bring you as a guest for a fee.

Q: Who do I need to contact for the pavilion rental for a wedding

A: Call the place

- Steve Haw (5 years ago)

Q: can i bring my airsoft to practice my accuracy?

A: Yes, go ask the range officer, but I don't think they'll say no. I mean, people are blasting rifles that can kill a bear on regular basis. Real gun vs. airsoft. Just observe all gun safety rules and treat it like a real gun on the firing line. It's likely that no one will even notice you're shooting airsoft.

- Steve Haw (6 years ago)

A: ok thank you sir

- J'D SANTOS (6 years ago)

A: I don't think so but you can ask at the range office

- Scott Jerochim (6 years ago)

Q: Does this place has an archery range?

A: Yes. Open for use but under renovation

- Robin Richardson (6 years ago)

A: No

- S S (6 years ago)

Q: Does the SPD RANGE Process Private I594 firearm transfers?

A: Guy behind the desk today said no. Maybe member->member transfer, but no online purchases or anything else.

- Daniel Moy (4 years ago)

A: Haven't seen that happen there

It is very loud and a disturbance to the surrounding communities. We listen to gunshots all day, every day. It is after 8 pm, and this is what we are listening to.

This is a great range! Yes it takes some time to join but well worth it. The ranges are self policed so wouldnΓÇÖt you like to know the guy next to you has gone thru a background check and review of safety training? Usually few or no one else on the range. To those that complain about the noise coming from the range, I guarantee that this range was here long before you were. It is no different than buying a home near an airport, race track, drag strip, train or freight yard or manufacturing industry. If noise is going to bother you, you needed to do more research before buying. DonΓÇÖt complain or expect established businesses to move or change because you donΓÇÖt like the noise.

This facility was used for a dinner fundraiser, and it has been a success for a number of years. I am usually there to help set up or clean up for the dinner, however, it seems like an excellent venue.

I was a member at this range for a few years and I have to say that this is a decent public range. They have a ton of pistol bays and you can shoot out to 200 yards on the rifle range. The people that work there are amazing, but since it is mostly self policed you get some extremely green shooters and there's the occasional idiot. As I said, it's mostly self policed although there are ROs watching via camera but they are pretty far away should something go down. My buddy and I have decided to leave several times because of behavior we deemed unsafe. This is generally the exception though, outside of hunting season, you may have the rifle range all to yourself. Others have talked about the paperwork and getting docs notarized being a pain. It's really not that big a deal. If doing some simple paperwork is that big a deal then maybe you shouldn't own guns, especially in this day and age.

I wonder how the Karens think you're going to sound proof an outdoor range.

This is a great public members only range. Friendly people and good pistol and rifle ranges.

Extremely loud and can be heard from miles away inside my home with all doors and windows closed. They make no effort to deaden or soundproof and often keep shooting late into the night far past their advertised hours. Truly awful for the community.

Called up customer service to see if there was any way to try this place out before putting down $220 for a membership. Was told no. Then was told it would take about 6 weeks to go shooting due to the need for a background check. I said " I already have a CPL, was told that makes no difference. I said so I've already been thru a background check, but I have to pay and wait for another one? Was told Yes, then the guy basically hung up on me. Look around, there is bound to be a better place to go shooting!

The amount of red tape needed to pass to practice shooting here is absolutely ridiculous. From a mandatory 4 hr class that's offered once a month to a form that has to be notarized, asks for references? It's half background check and half job application. All of this could easily be solved by allowing a separate range for non members - charge a slightly higher premium. I'm certain the healthy annual membership fees could more than be used to fund this.
