Great range, just about everything I would want. Went with some friends to blow off steam after work. Since it was our first time at their range, they had us sit down and watch a safety video. Even though I'm not a new shooter, I appreciate their dedication to safety. Once on the range, the RO was very helpful and friendly, and gave us some great tips on how to improve our performance. All that, with reasonable pricing for time spent on the range to boot? I'll definitely be back.

Decent gun range. The staff is VERY safety conscious. So much so that i think they may have forgotten that you can take safety seriously without talking down to people. I was trained to hunt whitetail before i was tall enough to see over a steering wheel, but u wouldn't know that if u are someone who judges books by their covers. But the three star review is really more to do with the fact that their facility isn't very accommodating to people with disabilities if you are a disabled person who isnt wheelchair bound. I am one of those people, so i feel my observation of this aspect of their facility isnt up for debate. That being said, if u would like to hear my opinions on how your facility could be more disability friendly, feel free to contact me.

I was there with my husband last week.They are really friendly and the instructor at the range was super friendly as he asked me not to shot the head but I did that anyway as a VERY First timer the instructor actually was understandable to let me go, the place is really safe and made anyone comfortable to be at for a first timer. Thank you 😊.

First time there, did a quick training, signed a waiver, then was given quick instructions. The place felt clean and nice. Everyone was helpful and nice.

Not like any other gun ranges. Very helpful staff specially the Instructor Jim help me a lot. He is one of the well trained and experienced person doing the training. Will go back to this place again soon.

I just had my 1st every firearms 101 training with Jim Maggio. I'm in my mid-forties and was a little nervous at 1st. Jim took his time with me and made me feel very comfortable and helped me gain confidence (and a pretty good shot) within the hour. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them for 1st timers.

As a family of 5 with kids ranging from 6,10 & 19 We had the absolute best experience with every staff member on the premises. I will definitely be going back to this place! I am so amazed at the professionalism,patience, respect and support my family and I received here! They definitely care about safety, education & training of the younger children as well as the adults. I wish I would have taken the time to get everyone's name we encountered today. (Shame on me for not,but we are packing a lot into this last week of summer for us) If you are looking for a great experience in an indoor range I highly recommend you go here , you will not be disappointed.

Very pleased with range's emphasis on safety. Staff is wonderful especially with new/young shooters. RSOs are committed to safety and very responsive.

I shot my first gun here. Had a private lesson with Kris. He's very friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to go shoot and lots of rentals to choose from too. Will definitely come back.

The staff and facilities are absolutely top shelf! Full range of rental options, great operating hours, stocked pro-shop, clean restrooms, friendly competent professionals that are helpful to newer shooters as well as salty old dogs. We love this place and we honestly feel fortunate to have Shady Oaks as a training resource!

ItΓÇÖs been a year since both me and girlfriend have been here, and once again it was a pleasant experience. IΓÇÖve been to multiple facilities and none have compared to the safety Shady Oaks has. each range has its own specific rules, if you have any questions ask a RSO. ItΓÇÖs way better off being safe than sorry. Shady Oaks enforces safety, locked front door with cameras view to ensure people coming in with fire arms have them safely secured. Once you move from the desk to the range itΓÇÖs walkie talkied over. Place is extremely secure, they have rules in place for reasons and this is the reason we will be frequent customers.

This was my first time here. I chose James Maggio, who was really cool and trained me properly with a toy gun first. Even though we were running late, beyond my scheduled hour, he didnΓÇÖt rush me at all and allowed me to enjoy my time at the range. I definitely recommend coming here!

Shady Oaks is a great range. I have always found the range staff to be polite and professional. After reading some of the other reviews, sure, if you are a beginner or novice shooter then they might not have enough staff on a particular day to adequately supervise you. They do care about safety first. As the saying goes, what are the first 5 rules of gun ownership…. Safety, safety, safety, safety and safety. The only disappointing part of the range is the store. I think they may be super busy, so it might be helpful if people took this business somewhere else to give them a chance to catch up. I received notification that a couple of suppressors had been approved from the ATF on Monday and it’s Friday and I still have no idea when I can go and pick them up. You just get told that someone will call you in 1-3 days. Then that turns into a minimum of 5 business days. I am not in a big rush to pick them up (my wife tells me I have enough already), but it’s just a matter of principle and what is a reasonable amount of time. Having had an FFL in the past, I would call my customers the same day and let them know to come up whenever they are ready. I called another store in the area to see what their wait times were once approval was received and their reply was “if the store is open, come and get it”. So I will be using them from now on for any NFA needs. Like I said, in my opinion, take your non-range business elsewhere and give them a chance to catch up.

The whole family had a blast! IΓÇÖm from out of state and wanted to take the kids shooting for the first time. Really glad I found Shady Oaks. The staff were super friendly and provided a quick safety video for the family to review. They had a huge selection of rentals and I was allowed to bring my own firearms. The range masters were knowledgeable and quick to help and it was inexpensive.

Not friendly to clients. Make you wait outside getting sunburned during what should be normal business hours. Claim to let you shoot your own weapons then try to force you to use a different caliber so they can charge rental fees. Won't be back. Edit from business response: We left this location, went somewhere else, and had a fantastic time. Were greeted INSIDE the building by someone very friendly who wanted our business. Didn't have to stand outside getting sunburned only to be detained by a grumpy guy who wanted to behave like a night club bouncer. Let's be real here, locking a door during business hours isn't about people not reading signs. It's about you screening people from entry due to not wanting to do business with demographics you don't like. So, I spent my money with someone else who wanted my business. The name of this place certainly fits, it was definitely a shady experience.

Scared Brit - wanted to try shooting real guns. The intro class was great - they were very detailed, explained the theory as well as the practical. Felt very confident afterward with a small gun and scored well at the range too. Great place to visit if it's your thing.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and more than willing to help in any way they can. The pistol range and rifle range are in 2 different buildings. Both ranges are by far the nicest I've been to, they both have full time range masters and are exceptionally clean. The cherry on top is that it's very affordable to shoot there.

I am new to firearms and set up a class with Jim. He was great! Jim took the time to walk me through everything. He has tons of personal knowledge and explains things you will not get from a youtube video. I highly recommend taking a class with him.

Staff was friendly and professional. Knowledgeable and willing to help with out talking down to the shooters. The facility was clean and neat and temperature controlled. The target systems were new and well maintained. Prices are beyond reasonable. The ranger officer for the rifle range today and the guy that greeted us at the door are the real reasons IΓÇÖll be back. They address you by your name from the greeting to the ΓÇ£see you next timeΓÇ¥ as you leave. Absolute pros all around. Thanks for the help and IΓÇÖll see you next time. Mark W
