Q: is the range it's self temperature controlled

A: Paul, Shooting range operations generate airborne dirt and lead particles as guns are fired. The lead particulates in the air can be dangerous to our guests and need to be properly captured and removed. We use a complete line of multi-stage filtration required to scrub the air within the firing range. Air Filters Incorporated provides the gun range with a air filtration system and filter housing that meet the unique requirements of the industry. The actual range is not climate controlled. The air is replaced in the range multiple times per minute to support fresh breathable air. We add cooling fans during the summer months. This building is multiple feet of cement thick, so think of it as a basement. It will get a little chilly during the coldest winter days and warm during the hottest summer days so please dress appropriately. Our lobby, private instruction room, private party room, gun store and Pit & Grill are fully air-conditioned and heated. Thank you,

A: Anyone under 18 must be with a parent. The youngest we've had in here is 7.

- Sharp Shooters St. Louis Shooting Range (3 years ago)

A: I would call the range office, but for safety sake, I would guess they would have a minimum age. Also, I believe that you can't have more than 2 people in your booth.

- Richard Mattis (6 years ago)

Q: Do you offer ccw classes here? I'm a beginner at all of this I need the training as well as the classes.

A: They do offer a CCW class. They also offer other classes as well to help beginners get more familiar with firearms and shooting. And when you are finished shooting for the day, the barbecue is fantastic!

- Johnnie Lambert (6 years ago)

Q: WhatΓÇÖs the largest caliber you can shoot?

A: Up to 50 bmg no steel core on any caliber, they will kick you out. They DO ALLOW FULLY AUTOMATIC!!!

- Nick Starks (7 years ago)

A: They allow anything except automatic guns

- Mark Sawyer (7 years ago)

A: That is a fact, most if not all indoor shooting ranges do not all steel core ammunition because it destroys the bullet back stop. Bullet traps are made from rubber or stainless steel. We have signage all over the range so when a customer brings steel core ammo we are not happy.

I have been going to Sharpshooter range for years the staff is of the best available the advice of a very knowledgeable staff has assisted me for all this time. I recently had the opportunity to visit Sharpshooter range and I have had the opportunity to have sites on a gun there were no other adjustments. I went out to the range and shot the mess out of the pistol. It was very accurate as they say on Mortal Kombat. "Flawless Victory" also had the privilege of eating there the food is excellent also so once again kudos to an excellent staff.

I come here quite frequently and no matter if itΓÇÖs packed with people or not so busy, always a great experience. I try and wait til I go to the same place multiple times before I leave a review. I have been here about 15 times now within 3 months and been great every time. Be sure to bring some eye protection ( 3m clear safety glasses at hardware stores work just fine)and ear protection( foam plugs work or big ear muffs) if you donΓÇÖt want to have to buy when you come. Also bring cash so you donΓÇÖt get charged extra for using a card ( I think 3%). They do accept tap pay with your phone. Not a bad idea to stop at a hunting /sporting good store and pick up some paper targets. Any size will do(I donΓÇÖt recommend self adhesive ones, they have clips to hang your targets) just remember the smaller they are the harder it will be to hit. Be safe have fun.

I signed my son and myself up for a concealed carry class over the Christmas holiday, thinking it would be a time for us to knock the class out while he was in from out-of-town. Less than 24 hours before the class, it was canceled. While I understand low attendance might justify a cancellation, the way it was handled left much to be desired. When I called to request a refund, I was met with a curt response, essentially blaming me for expecting them to hold a class for just two participants. While I understand their perspective, they should also consider the inconvenience caused to customers. A little more noticeΓÇösay a few days or even a weekΓÇöwould have gone a long way. We had adjusted our holiday plans with family specifically to attend this class. I couldnΓÇÖt help but wonder how they would handle it if a customer canceled less than 24 hours beforeΓÇömost likely, theyΓÇÖd refuse a refund. The lack of professionalism here is disappointing. Next time, weΓÇÖll book with The Range. TheyΓÇÖve consistently proven to be courteous, professional, and reliable.
