Shoot GTR (Gainesville Target Range)

This store and range are great ! The guys in this store absolutely know what they are doing. So much knowledge. They helped me so much eith setting up my holster system by Safariland and I couldn't be happier ! One guy and I wish I had asked his name. He actually gave me a part i still needed right off his own pew pew belt ! Now that's customer service ! I highly recommend this store. We didn't use the range but we sure saw it ! It's great ! Again highly recommend!

If you are looking for a place to shoot that is focused on safety with a knowledgeable, friendly welcoming staff then Shoot GTR if the place for you. I've been going here for 4 years and always bring family and friends along to enjoy the great atmosphere.

Been going to these guys (shoot GTR & lawful) for 6 years now and love them. I used to go around to all different arms dealers until I found Lawful defense, now theyΓÇÖre the only place I buy from. They treat everyone with respect unlike some places IΓÇÖve been. I have probably bought 25 to 30 different types of guns and all my suppressors from them.

Great range with a large focus on safety. Each first time visitor is required to take a 30-40min safety class. ItΓÇÖs very simple but it lays down the rules and procedures very clearly. Two ranges are open to non members, a 200 yards and a 25 yards range. There are PLENTY others and even private ranges if you and some buddies want to come around. They sell ammo, accessories, targets, and even a few guns inside the main building. The staff were very friendly and understanding while I was there for my first time. I had left a key for a safety lock on my rifle at home so I had to run back and get it and they did not charge me again for re-entry or even the $1 stapler rental. You can also rent some guns to shoot, $15 for hand guns and $20 for rifles/shotguns, just bring or buy the ammo and youΓÇÖre good to go. Will definitely be coming back! Also check out their sister company Lawful Defense right down the road!

Great facility with a hyper focus on safety, training, and customer service. The Pro Shop has a wide array of firearms, accessories, and ammunition. The staff are very knowledgeable and willing to assist in any capacity, no matter your experience.

Going to a gun store can be an uncomfortable experience. This store treats you like you are their good friend. I had to do some business here recently. The employees were also very caring, professional, and made everything smooth for me. I highly recommend this place if you are interested in guns.

Alex, Joe, Landon, and Stephen are awesome. The boys have been taking care of me for years and are always a great time to hangout in the shop with. All bring a different level of experience and knowledge to the table that no other shop around can bring. GTR is the place to shoot and place to learn in Gainesville!

I would like to say thanks to ALL of the Shoot GTR staff. Everyone has been very helpful and eager to assist with anything we needed. Training, rentals, gun selection, accessories, and general information. The staff there excels at what they do! I started off as a new gun owner with very little experience and knowledge. Having the people on staff that they do, made things so much easier. The training courses are also a great addition to what is available on site. A special thanks to Alex for all of the help over the last couple of years with starting out on this skill and the great advice. Stephan has been very good with training and advice on everything too and I am looking forward to his rifle course. The ranges are always well kept. Visitors are easy to shoot with, and I have yet to be disappointed in a visit to the ranges. My friends and I enjoy the trips to Shoot GTR and look forward to many years of training and practice there to come. Keep up the good work and excellent staff as it's very much appreciated.

Shoot GTR is awsome. Ranges are clean and have lots of space, I enjoy that its outside. Pro shop has everything you need. Plenty of classes to keep you trained up. The staff are top notch. Thank you to the entire staff, especially Stephen and Alex for making this place as great as it is!

I recently purchased a silencer/can for my SBR DDM4, unfortunately for me it didnΓÇÖt preform as expected. I brought the rifle & can into the shop and had Bennett look at it. We took it outside for a test fire, too BennettΓÇÖs surprise he agreed it was louder than it should be. The manufacturer was contacted but to no avail. Bennett allowed me to return the item, and had me bring my weapon back into the store and test fired a store owned silencer. This time a much different sounding weapon as I had expected. I realize this was a very out of the ordinary return but I am completely happy with the results, and ready to do another Tax Stamp. Thank you Bennett

Very nice staff! I submitted a question through their website after hours not expecting a response until the next day since they were closed. To my surprise, not only did they respond, but they answered some other questions I had that I hadn't asked yet! I'm excited to learn marksmanship through them in the near future, and I'll be bringing my family too.

Best shooting range in Gainesville area. They have multiple rifle and pistol ranges that allow long distance shooting. They also have steel targets for plinking. The range is well kept and safety is maintained. You can also reserve ranges and they offer many training courses.

Best Range IΓÇÖve been to. They are also a great gun store with great prices. ItΓÇÖs not worth ordering parts online , the price difference is minimal sometimes nonexistent. Highly recommended
