Overall itΓÇÖs a great place but I would suggest taking a picture of the cardboard back piece in the employeeΓÇÖs hands before handing it to you because they WILL NOT have your back. Their policy is to not shoot above the black line on the cardboard back piece or itΓÇÖs $5 per bullet hole. My husband was handed one that already had 3 bullet holes above the black line. It was his first time at this range so he wasnΓÇÖt aware that the previous holes were supposed to be marked with a sharpie (the employee initially forgot to even give him the back piece so itΓÇÖs not far fetched to believe they would forget to mark the holes). He was then charged $15 for the holes that were already there. He tried explaining to the employee they were there to begin with and that the holes were way too small to come from a 9mm, which is what he rented and shot with. The employee came off arrogant, claimed he ΓÇ£circles all his targetsΓÇ¥, and barely tried to listen. He also asked about checking the cameras but they were too far from where he was shooting anyways. The overall experience was great but just be aware to say something or take a picture of the back piece if there are already bullet holes above the black line because, even if they were the ones who forgot to mark them, you will get charged.

The range is in very rough shape. not modern or well kept at all. looked like a dungeon converted to a shooting range. they stuck two of us on a tiny lane when 2 other lanes were open the entire time. i guess we should pretend to not know each other and get separate lanes. theres no room to put your bags in the lane comfortably. felt like 100 degrees at least in there. they make you carry a giant piece of cardboard that you put your targets on along with all your heavy gun/ammo bags all the way into the range and to your lane which is very awkward. and to make sure you dont come back they charge you $5 per shot that goes above a line theyve drawn on the cardboard. the sole purpose of making you carry the cardboard in is to try to charge you more. drive the extra 10 minutes and go to palmetto instead

Our experience was over amazing!!! My wife and I brought our kids for the first time to the gun range and they were very helpful. Walker and Bree had great customer service. Walker even tested the .22 before we use it to make sure that it wasn’t jamming for the kids. They also weren’t “clock watching “ while we taught our kids some fundamentals on our lanes. I love the Shooters environment…being able to take pics because some ranges in the area don’t allow you to photograph. Not to mention, the price point isn’t expensive (plus kids shoot for free under 12 years old). I would recommend this location to anyone with kids or looking for an A+ Range and experience. This is the place to be!!!

I've booked 2 (church!) group events at their indoor shooting range over the past few years. This is the only place I've found where you can rent fully automatic firearms. The also have wide variety of hand guns to rent, from 22 cal. to 50 cal. Friendly, safety conscious, and helpful staff. After shopping several area gun shops, they not only had the best price around Charlotte, but were the only store in the region that had in stock what I was looking for. If you are in the Shelby, Statesville, Mooresville, Huntersville or Charlotte, NC area and are looking for a good place to practice shooting and/or looking to buy a new or pre-owned gun, check out Shooter's Express. Only 10 minutes or so West of the Charlotte I-77 & I-85 interchange. JAN 2016 update - best prices I've found anywhere around Charlotte - great selection too - but it's the GREAT SERVICE that I'd like to highlight here. I ran into a problem the first time I used a brand new gun my friend bought there, so we stopped back in with it to ask for help - they spent probably 30 minutes with us (diagnosing problem, testing, professional cleaning, more testing, etc.). We were then escorted to their indoor range and told: "please make sure everything works perfect now, stay as long as you wish, no charge for the range time - if you have any further issues, please let us know and we'll make it right". The gun performed flawlessly! Now THAT is how to resolve a problem and create lifelong customer loyalty.

Overall, not a bad small gun shop and shooting range. They have a decent sized store and multiple shooting lanes for both pistols and rifles. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, and the price was extremely reasonable for an hour of range time. The only real complaint would be the condition of the range itself. As far as functionality, the target was able to be sent out and retrieved easily, and the lighting was fair enough down range to see the target. Their lanes are 25 yards, however, only about 22-23 yards is useable without causing the target to bind up on the pulleys. Ultimately, the range could use a little bit of updating as it was a bit dingy and worn out on the rifle side. However, for the price the range was as expected. Will definitely be there again, probably just for handgun shooting though as the handgun lanes seemed a little better maintained.

Everybody has bad experiences, so did I with this range but I gave it second try and man Am I glad that I did. This range very quickly became my favorite out of any range 25 mile range. Mind you there Firearm prices might be Higher than others The folks there are A1. TheyΓÇÖre straightforward with what you come to shop for. Not everybody here is going to have a Chickfila Service attitude these arenΓÇÖt toys so of course they are more Strict on everything. Range is definitely my favorite part of the whole Shop rates are good the workers in the back are Informative and helpful. Also CCW Permit classes here are Perfect and cheap The folks at Blue Line Defense Great people. Anybody who has has a bad experience in my opinion give it a second try if its still bad might be a YOU problem.

Good experience doing a day pass on the range. Walker was incredibly helpful and patient with me as I hadnΓÇÖt shot any handguns before today. CanΓÇÖt say all patrons are perfectly safe in handling their weapons but that is probably true anywhere

We've had great retail experiences with Shooters Express, and the range is good too. But I'm not sure I would recommend them from an armory perspective. Dropped off my .380 because it was misfiring. They told me right off the bat that they were behind schedule, which was fine. They told me I would hear from someone within the first 3-4 days. Two weeks went by and I didn't hear anything, had to call to follow up. Finally after three weeks they called and said my pistol was repaired and ready to go. I took it to the range yesterday, and it was doing the exact same thing that it was when I took it to them. It was still misfiring about 50% of the time. I'm not 100% sure that they really dug into what was going on with it. Like I said, I recommend them from a retail standpoint, they are fair and helpful. Not sure I would take a firearm there to have it repaired.

Shooters express ammo prices are thru the roof...5.56mm for the range nearly 19.00$ for 20 rds..that is crazy...that same ammo at academy sports is 11.00$ for example. I never shop at shooters any longer..Customer service..not good. I went there around feb 23 2023..I think. I was looking for a 4.25 in commander style 1911. Gonna use a striker fired pistol..which I bought there and cash for trade and purchase. They had none. There was a lady and young guy in there. Neither one come over to the case where the 1911s were to talk to me.I had to stand there alone and talk across the store. I ask about ordering one. I was surprised by the answer..which was... They only get the guns that their supplier's allow them to get..they would not or could not order me one. I not kidding. Man..I didn't even know how to react to that. They just let me walk out out...no good bye..no thanks for coming in...nothing. Needless to say..l left there went to the west end of Gaston co..just a few miles..and found my New go to gun store who not only welcomed me..but ordered my New Ruger .45 lightweight commander style 4.25 1911. Unless I just have to use the range a shooters.. I'll never go back..and I will never purchase anything from them.

Hopefully they have changed over the years. Went in there 10+ years ago. Twice they sold me garbage optics for an AR15A1. Had been obviously used, didn't even bother returning the second one. Been dealing with Hyatt's ever since.
