Silver Creek Range - Membership Only Range

I have been a member at Silver Creek Range for 5 years. It sure has changed. The owner is always making improvements. All of the ranges are accessible by car. Open 7 days a week to members. 160 acres with 9 ranges. My favorite is the 1K yard range. A lot of great members that are experienced shooters you can learn from if new to shooting. Various matches held throughout the year if you like to compete or just watch.

Multiple active ranges on a large, very well laid out property. Many more ranges and improvements to come. Great staff dedicated to safety. The entire facility is designed by shooters, for shooters. For those wanting to learn to be a better shooter, the membership is a wealth of knowledge and willing to share and help. You wont find a better place to enjoy the sport. Update: all true four years ago and still true today. Staff continues to expand the capabilities. Improve the facility and grow the community. My family loves spending time here and we always seem to make a new friend everytime we visit.

After 20 years in the military and retiring, I was fortunate to find this great outdoor range. The staff are personable and extremely knowledgeable. Once you're a member, you have access to the different types of ranges from 1,000 yards to CQB and everything in between. I was able to drive my sports car without any clearance issues to the different ranges. Membership is very reasonable. You have the autonomy to shoot, and during the week, it is very peaceful. Thank you, Jeff and your staff!

From a pistol range to a 1,000 yard range, Silver Creek has everything you could possibly want. All the ranges are easily accessible with my Camry. I really appreciate the emphasis on safety as well. There was a lot of hard work and planning that built this range; I would certainly encourage others to join.

Mustang GT friendly roads, no truck or 4x4 required to visit all ranges. Love this private range and Jeff Stone is an excellent owner/manager. He has done nothing but add and improve the entire property with new ranges, targets, berms, roads, and drainage. We share a common vision of having a safe and logistically functional firearm haven.

Members-only Silver Creek Range has got to be the most affordable, and just downright coolest gun range in the Mobile area, if not the entire state of Alabama. Located in a very beautiful part of Chunchula on 162 wooded acres, it's surprisingly affordable too: $300 per individual, or $500 for the family rate. (And, within reason, you can bring guests too.) Silver Creek Range is also an outdoor range, which is better if you're conscientious about lead, etc., and it has it all: 9 independent ranges with multiple berms, from long-range (1,000 yards) to a tactical pistol/rifle range, using both metal and paper targets. They also hold regular competitive matches. It's also got 2 Porta Potties, and is handicap-accessible. Plus, as my wife would tell you, it is a very female-friendly range, which isn't always the case at other ranges. Heck, it's just a friendly range, period. My wife forgot the magazine to her AR-15 her first time out there, and a very kind individual let her borrow his so we didn't have to turn around and go all the way back home to get it. In fact, when my wife, a gun novice, initially went looking for a range/instruction, she found prices ran over $1,000! But after becoming members, Jeff Stone, who owns and runs Silver Creek Range, spent over 2 hours with us, and particularly my wife, showing her how her AR worked and teaching her the proper way to shoot it. She had purchased her 1st AR at Jeff's shop, Stone Arms, Inc., with the promise that he would train her on it, and let's just say he underpromised and overdelivered! Jeff could've charged $1,000 or more for his expertise like some ranges do. But I think he saw an opportunity to not only fill a gap, and help a woman foray into the world of guns, which can be tricky for women to do sometimes, he also just clearly loves what he does. And the members could not be kinder or more helpful, especially if you're new. Additionally, Jeff took his time with us *on a Sunday* to not only instruct my wife on her new AR, but also to help her with a semi-auto and a revolver she didn't even purchase at his store. I mean, does this man ever even take a day off? He probably had a million other things to do, but he took the time to help her out. And if that's not service after the sale, I don't know what is! That's the kind of man Jeff is, and that's the kind of camaraderie you get when you join Silver Creek Range. It's worth every penny!

I never thought a range like this could be so accessible. Driving down the private road through the woods in the morning with your best friend and a jug of coffee and a trunk full of ammo, being able to choose from multiple different ranges, accommodating any kind of firearm you're likely to have, being able to shoot totally alone if you want without anyone bothering you, taking a moment to sit and watch wildlife through your optics, taking your kid to shoot his first 22 without being bothered by range staff, shooting on your own time without feeling like you're in the way or being rushed. If you do want to introduce yourself, everyone is friendly and inviting. You cannot get these experiences at a public range. This is not some exclusive club, there is nothing hard or scary about joining. For the cost of a few hundred rounds a year you get unlimited access to what is basically a shooters amusement park. Fill out the form, pay your dues, and go for a ride with Jeff in his atv while he gives you a guided tour of his forest retreat. That's it. Can you operate a firearm safely without someone watching over your shoulder? Then you can handle joining Silver Creek Range.

I have shot all over the USA and Silvercreek is at the top of my list. From the classes, training, and the constant upgrades, this place is perfect. Special thanks to Tyler and Jeff for their efforts.

This is the absolute best range in south AL! Aside from being well managed and well maintained, it has everything youΓÇÖd want in an outdoor range! A true 1000 yard range with countless targets at 100 yard intervals from 300yards and up. Multiple tactical ranges for training and close proximity practice. A 100/200 yard range for your .22 rifles and sighting in your long range rifles. A pistol bay with built in target stands, steel plates, and even a Texas star!!! If thatΓÇÖs not enough, how about deer hunting during hunting season, access to a members only social media group, special events throughout the year, primitive camping, or just exploring the 160 acres?! ItΓÇÖs really a hidden gem! Membership is limited to only a certain amount of members, so if thereΓÇÖs an opening IΓÇÖd suggest you get in while you can!

Been a member of the range since itΓÇÖs opened. Truly an amazing range, it offers everything you could want from a range. The members are what makes it even better, everyone here takes ownership into it & we all have the ΓÇ£try to leave it a little better than when we came inΓÇ£ mentality!

This range promises to become the center for all the shooting sports in southwest Alabama and surrounding area. Located in central Mobile County it is within reasonable driving distance of Pensacola Florida along the gulf coast to Biloxi, Mississippi and points north. Mobile, Alabama is the closest major city, only 40 minutes to the south. It is located on 160 acres of rolling piney woods with enough room to construct just about any type of shooting venue you can think of. Already, the owner, Jeff Stone, has three ranges up and running and three more under construction. Safety is the primary consideration so all new members must attend an orientation session. At one of these sessions one new member was heard to say "this must be what Disney World looked like in the beginning". The future development of the range will be member-driven as Jeff is open to member in-put, suggestions and ideas. Silver Creek Range is very nice. The range has numerous size ranges from short pistol, tactical,100/200 yard rifle and a 300 to 1000 yard long rifle range. Located not far from Mobile. Their first Veterans Day open house get together was great. There was fun shooting for all and nice fellowship. If you like the shooting sports this is the place for you, check it out. Silver Creek has multiple ranges already and more to come. ItΓÇÖs a type of range that pretty much fits every type of shooter; from combat and three gun style shooting, to pistol and long distance rifle. The 1000 yard range gives the novice, and experience shooter, an opportunity to sharpen their skills with various style targets starting at 300 yards out to 1000 yards. ThereΓÇÖs a 100 to 200 yard range with a weather covering for sighting in and checking loads, or just simply sighting in an old hunting rifle. One great thing about Silver Creek Range is that itΓÇÖs not done and has enough room for future expansion; itΓÇÖs not the old typical, ΓÇ£what you see is what you get.ΓÇ¥ IΓÇÖve shot nearly all the ranges on both sides of the bay and state line, and this one I highly recommend.
