Silver Creek Sporting Club

Q: Why was it closed Easter yet on Thanksgiving they were opened
A: Silver Creek recognizes 4 holidays that we are closed, so that our employees can be with there family and friends. These are posted on our website calendar and google. 1. New Years Day 2. Easter Sunday 3. Thanksgiving 4. Christmas Day

Q: hey chuck- you suggested that i use IC chokes top and bottom barrel is that correct? I'm the plumber. thanks
A: Charles... Not to answer for Chuck, but that is the "normal" recommendation for entry into Sporting Clay's. This would be an excellent choice for starting out and for use on his front course. Once you master using the IC choke tubes and you are ready for the "longer" and faster targets, you can move to some of the other "tighter" choke tubes. The key is getting the hang of leading and busting the clays... and have fun at it rather than getting discouraged. Would also suggest using #8 shot in your loads... Just have fun and build your confidence.

Chuck was so helpful- helped me with my chokes and taught me what they do. Danny is a great guide! His dogs are amazing! Thanks to Strawberry and Ginger! Gorgeous place and bountiful pheasant haul!

Nice staff. Weekday so not crowded at all. Close in presentations not very challenging. Next time IΓÇÖll explore the farther out stations which are supposed to be harder. Good price for shells. Nice atmosphere in clubhouse.

Great place to shoot some clays. There was a snow storm come through the area that shutdown a lot of the clay ranges. We called Silver Creek sportingclays. They said If we wanted to shoot they would stay open. We had a blast. If you are in Colorado and wanting to shoot clays. Tell them Dan from West Virginia sent you there. Lol

I just took a group of colleagues from my industry industry here for a pheasant hunt. All I can say is 10 out of 10! The staff is accommodating, professional, and welcoming! Our guide David Lovato was outstanding!! His dogs are world class and his relationship with them is symbiotic. A thrill to watch let alone hunt along side. If you schedule a hunt and he isn't available reschedule it for when he is. He is worth the wait! Book your next hunt with Silver Creek! You simply will not regret it!!! We are definitely going back!

Have been several times with friends, as well as my 11 year old son. Always friendly and accommodating. Was new to sporting clays on my first visit, they were happy to show me the ropes. Also tried trap shooting here to get my son comfortable with his first shotgun. Thanks Silver Creek!

What a great place to shoot. Love the terrain this course offers. Some stations are in the trees and a few are over a ravine. So much fun.

Mark here using my sons profile. Our group of work buddies had a great time shooting clays. We arent members so took advantage of the incredible sporting clays course. Even more fun than a day on golf course. Very affordable. Laughs and high fives all around. We'll be back atleast monthly.

I've been a member of Silver Creek Sporting Club for 3+ years. Outstanding facility for Sporting Clays, Skeet, Trap... and now they have added a rifle and pistol range with certified range officers. They also offer pheasant and chukar upland bird hunting. They have two sporting clay courses, one for beginner to intermediate and one for intermediate to advanced... 22 stations in total. In the 3+ years I have been going, I have NOT had one station fail. The course is well maintained, and follow along on a creek bed with lots of wonderful report pair and true pair presentations to shoot at. One of the added benefits of this club is the ability to shoot alone... if you do not have a partner... the stations can be controlled automatically to allow for an individual shooter to shoot by themselves for a solitude outing and to practice. Come out, meet Chuck, the owner, and tell him Jerry said to come out... (you wont get any discount and I wont get any credit... but at least he will now how I feel about his operation)....

Went here on Sunday with a friend, our first time at Silver Creek. The variety in the sporting clays course was really fun! Several clays coming at you, two rabbits. All the equipment is new and works well. We will definitely be coming back!

I shot a round of sporting clays here for the first time today and had a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, the stations were varied and challenging, and the price was quite reasonable. We will definitely be back to shoot here again soon!

Excellent venue with 2 courses and a skeet range. The site is well maintained with ample space for atv/utv's and pedestrians. One of my favorite places to go "golfing with guns".
