Skagit Shooting Range

Q: If IΓÇÖm 13 can my mom rent a pistol and can I shoot it?
A: Yes.
- Range Team (4 years ago)
Q: What is max caliber of shooting range?
A: 7.62x39 or 300 Blackout
- Range Team (4 years ago)
Q: Are you allowed to shoot steel 7.62x 54r as fast as you want like a free America or are there infringements here?
A: 7.62x54r is too big of a caliber to shoot at the range and only brass or nickel is permitted. And second, even though we live in a free country, we are a private business with rules and policies in place to protect the safety and wellbeing of our customers, so no rapid firing.
- Range Team (4 years ago)
Q: Can we use aluminum casings
A: No. Brass or nickel only (.22 excluded)
- Range Team (4 years ago)
Q: What are your daily specials throughout the week?
A: Wednesday we have Date Night from 4-7 pm. You can get a lane for 2 for $23 and a free gun rental. Monthly we also have Ladies Night which is really fun!
- Range Team (4 years ago)
Q: Are ladies nights always on a Thursday?
A: Yes, our Ladies Night event is always the second Thursday of the month. We do request preregistration for that event.

Q: Hi, me and my son (15) want to try out shooting. Do I need to have a license or something like that? OR do we get an instruction? And can we rent rifles although we donΓÇÖt have one? Thanks for helping Simon
A: Hi Simon, You do not need any type of firearm license to rent our firearms. To rent any of our firearms you either need to have a minimum of 2 people in your group OR your own firearm with you at the time of checkin. This is an iron clad policy. As long as both you and your son are present you should be able to rent without any issues. You do need a valid form of identification with you and will need to fill out a waiver for both you and your son at the time of your first visit. You can purchase a private instruction consultation session on our website. We do a short safety brief with all new visitors and can give a few minutes of pointers but do not offer full instruction outside of our scheduled consultations. We hope this helps and look forward to seeing you soon!

A: No, we do not, as our range is 25 yards. We accept all pistol calibers and rifles up to 7.62 x 39. We do not allow shotguns or birdshot ammunition. All ammo must be brass cased- or nickel-plated- and jacketed: Total Metal Jacket (TMJ), Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), Jacketed Soft Point (JSP), and Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) are all acceptable. We do not allow ammo with fully exposed lead to be shot, with the exception of .22 caliber ammo. We do not allow any aluminum cased, steel cased, or steel core ammo to be shot on the range. Incendiaries, armor-piercing, or tracer rounds are also prohibited. Ammo will be inspected by range staff prior to your shooting.

I used to love this range because it was both family-friendly and veteran-friendly, making it a great place to shoot. I was a member until November of last year. Recently, I brought my 10-year-old to shoot some .22, but we were kicked out on the spot. I would have understood if they had a policy change, like the new age requirement of 12, but they wouldnΓÇÖt even let me in. As a US Army Reservist, I wanted to get some practice in before my upcoming drill qualifications. The staff member with glasses, short dark hair, and a heavyset build was extremely rude, claiming that it was unsafe for my son to even be there, even though we've shot here many times before. His attitude was arrogant, as if he had some kind of power complex. Something clearly changed in the past couple of months, and IΓÇÖm really disappointed because this range was once one I held in high regard. I wonΓÇÖt be coming back.

Awesome staff! Very informal and supportive! First time at a proper shooting range so I wasnΓÇÖt antiquated with the rules. The staff was very friendly and supportive offering their recommendations without pressing to make a sell. Next time I go, IΓÇÖm getting an annual membership. Thank you!

I had a great time here visiting from Canada. Everything was explained properly and the range was well run. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were fairly reasonable. It's likely I will visit again in the future.

Dave was thorough and clear in explaining to me and my father, who were first timers, with the theory and skills of how to use the guns. My father doesn't speak English, so I had to translate for him, and Dave was patient. Dave gave me feedback and tried to help me to aim and shoot better during the practice session. Very fun experience!

Waited an 1h 30m on a wait list without being called. Multiple groups, probably about 4 or 5 who arrived after us were called first. Usually they're much better than this.

Nice range. Friendly staff. Gets a bit warm on hot days. And booths are a little dark. But is a good place to shoot.

IΓÇÖm brand new to guns and shooting. I got my first gun 3 weeks ago and drove down to the range. I was nervous I had no idea what to do or expect. I walked in gave them my ID filled out a form, a Range officer read me the rules. I have seen others get a talking to breaking the rules. The staff is nice about it you can tell right away who is new to this and who is a regular. They donΓÇÖt grab you by the neck and throw you out, they talk to you and tell you what not to do. I have gone back many times in the past few weeks so I decided to get a lifetime membership. What a deal I can now just stop by while IΓÇÖm working and shoot off a clip or two then get back on the road. A break time well spent.

Friend of mine recommended i rent a gun before i buy. I called these guys, told them I'm new and want to rent, "what do i need?" They just quoted me pricing so i drove more than an hour to get here, turns out i need to bring a gun of my own to rent one... I questioned them a bit and they started getting defensive about it...That's a fine policy but the guy that answered the phone wasted 2 hours of my life and gas. Get a clue. Train your guys better. That's important.

Range officer was really helpful and thorough explaining everything.. range was clean and smelled good.. I appreciated the shooting fees were reasonable and there was plenty of parking. All the customers I met were very friendly. This place has an overall really nice feel to it, I'll definitely be back.

The staff are prompt and helpful. Prices are fair. Not too fond about children being allowed in the shooting range area and parents letting them run around when theres shooting going on. Last time my husband and I went a big family were shooting in the range and pointing their gun AR 15 and the ammo was hitting the ceiling and track system. There was range leader in sight watching. It did not make us feel safe. The family was talked to by a couple other people in the range about their behavior and they just ignored them . My husband and I ended up leaving a little earlier than usual because of it.
