Smith Park Gun Range

Park ranger was one of the rudest people i have ever met. He started listing fake rules about the range that were nowhere to be found on any of the rule boards. Had no explanation for us behind them and ultimately ruined a 14 year olds day by draining any and all fun out of the evening. I completely understand the safety and precautions behind shooting, but when you are told there are certain guns you are and are not allowed to shoot. there was apparently a regulation on what kind of targets you are allowed to use. But no evidence behind these rules it feels like you are just unwanted at a range you paid money to go to.

Had alot of fun driving an hour round trip to a range I'm not allowed to use. No mention anywhere online about where to actually get a permit. Probably for the best since it was absolutely disgusting

"From a woman's perspective" I love how some people react lol. They are honest on price, pics don't lie, good bang for your buck! Kept up by hard working honest folk (we clean up our own crap, not yours)! If you want uptown shooting don't come here! Go join a club! 🤣 How's that for an honest review my AR/TX folks🤣 I have never been hassled here and that's kinda the point! Not in close proximity but worth the drive to SOME of us, but hey they don't hassle us in my town either 😉

This place is pretty awesome, especially since they've installed the archery range and targets at the rifle range. It very well kept, and patrons are very respectful and typically clean up after themselves.

Good range with clean bathroom. People are friendly and care about safety. There are pot holes and uneven surface, so you might have to get a good target stand :)

This is a beautiful park. So serene and quiet. Clean camp grounds and very well kept up.

good Range, people are polite. the area is relatively clean. it is only cost 10 dollar a year for miller county resident. some people come to collect the shells and clean the floor.

I use this shooting range, but not everyone might care for it. It is up to 100 yards, has 5 benches, and only cost $10 in state or $20 out of state for a year. Down side big mud holes, trash everywhere, and I have heard some nuts come out there. If you are looking for a cheap place to shoot this is your place. Most people are respectful but not all.

For $20 a year (out of county) this outdoor range is great. Covered shooting benches and rests. Up to 100 yards. 5 stations. Wish they would complete other side. Bring your own targets and stand. Clean up your brass and trash. No place close to eat so bring food and drinks.

They charge $10 for in state and $20 for out of state tags. But they don't maintain it at all. No yard markers. And water holes in the middle of the range three feet deep.

I love the range, it's great for getting my AR-15's all sighted in at up to 100 Yards. I see they are working on a 25 Yard pistol range right next to it. BTW, I was told you can have up to a 50 BMG at this range.
