I've been a member for a few months now and come every other week with my wife to practice shooting our pistols. Very friendly staff, huge thank you to Don Ruger for taking our badge photos and giving us a thorough tour, and to John who we check in with on Sundays. This is the first range I've ever really been a part of consistently and it's just perfect for us. It's close to where we hike and live, spacious, organized, and the other members are great about communication and ceasefires. A little common sense and situational awareness keeps everyone safe - I never have to worry about people mishandling their firearms here. It's also important to check the outdoor/indoor calendar before you plan a trip to the range as there are many events during the month. We usually come on the weekends and leave within an hour or so, so we don't encounter too many events. On a few occasions, we had to use the indoor range which was actually quite nice. It was really clean, well lit, and had tons of shooting lanes. I believe on those mornings, there were long distance rifle shooters using the range, so the indoor range was open for pistol caliber shooting. Other times, we've had muzzle loader events which utilize both the 100yd and 25yd ranges, but we've left the latter range before they began. It's important to check that calendar to know what's going on and when. For a local range with nice accommodations, I couldn't' ask for anything more. It's clean, organized, and safe. Thank you SRC for allowing me to dial in my firearm handling!

Just here as a guest two days ago. Outdated range. Conflicting rules. The RSO was the worst IΓÇÖve came across in years. Enforcing rules that they donΓÇÖt obey themselves. ΓÇ£RSO BrantΓÇ¥ walking on to live range with no eye protection twice / three times ΓÇ£RSO BrantΓÇ¥. Coffee Clutch retirees holding onto any type of authority. Honestly canΓÇÖt see this place open much longer, encroaching residential areas. Bad RSOΓÇÖs, mediocre administration. Put down the coffee and clean the restrooms and sweep the community room worse than a rest stop. Seriously disappointed.

Found this range and spoke with Donald who was quite informative and encouraged me to come and give them a try. I have not fired any firearm in over 30 yrs so having him to help me get "reacquainted" with firearms was awesome. I saw many of the bad reviews and I can not honestly say that I saw anything that resembled rude or unwelcoming behavior. It was great fun and this is an activity I plan on continuing with with this club. Thanks again Donald for the experience, you are a great asset to this club!

As an immigrant from south of the border (California) and a long time NRA training counselor, having shot at and joined many clubs over the years. Having been a member of Spokane for 2 years now, I find that Spokane is very similar to many otherclubs, in that they like to run a tight ship. By that I mean, they do not, nor should they assume that anyone knows what they are doing. As a firearms instructor I can tell you that most of the worst firearms handling I have seen has been done by those who profess to have shot for years, typically since they were a kid. I applaud the diligence of the range officers at this and every club, after all their role is to ensure we are all safe. One can be assured that Spokane is a safe and friendly place to shoot. Yes, once you prove that you are safe, and demonstrated that you know what you are doing, I agree they are going to be much friendlier towards you. Much in the same way a Police officer is guarded towards someone in a traffic stop until he/she is assured by YOUR actions that you are not a threat to them. People in general expect respect, however it is something that is earned! Respect is something that is given to the firearm, but MUST be earned by the user demonstrating knowledge, and and the correct attitude. As for double tapping, it is not a necessary part of normal shooting, if someone feels the need to shoot rapidly, they should join an organization like the United States Practical Shooting Association. The USPSA do have shoots indoors at the far end of the range, away from the public area. Best ask at the office for more info.

Shot trap for the first time there last weekend. Great experience! Small group that all seem to know each other. Cash only surprised me but all and all nice place, run casually but professional.

This place is awesome! Safety oriented and all of the range masters are very friendly. The bad reviews are possibly secondary to being held accountable for something done incorrectly. Lots of sandbags etc. We became members!

Not sure how they expect to operate this sorry excuse of a club if anyone new looking for a place to shoot or non members are asked immediately to leave the parking lot after arriving. Rude, unprofessional and not welcoming. I will take our membership elsewhere.

ItΓÇÖs a place to shoot your guns enough said.. yea sure they donΓÇÖt want you rapid firing or drawing from your holster like Dirty Harry but itΓÇÖs at least a safe environment to shoot.. I have alternate facilities if I want to ball out

The place is definitely not for "Call To Duty" cos-players. Thank God.

I'd give it zero if I could. The definition of fuddy boomer range that all the memes are about. Basically a place for geriatric retirees to go drink coffee before they die like they should have 30 years ago. If you're under the age of 70 and shoot anything other than black powder forget about being welcome there. And don't even think about brining a semi auto or God forbid doing any kind of realistic training drills. I probably know more about guns than these fudds and definitely could outshoot them but I'm not 90 so I may as well know nothing. Worst range ever. And this is without evening bringing up the financial pyramid scheme that entails their membership dues. Save your 200 bucks, buy ammo and gas, and drive to Fishtrap I promise you'll have a much better time

Absolute FUDS

Got my membership few weeks ago finally went there today the staff was decent, my issue is that they do not accommodate any modern shooters. You canΓÇÖt shoot more than one round per second. No draw-to-shoot. No quick target. Basically no practicing anything other than sighting in your gun thatΓÇÖs about all this range is good for and they mainly only accommodate retirees. I would not recommend this range to any experienced shooter looking to fine tune their skills comfortably.

I am a newer member and brought my Son in-law who is a first time shooter. Being a Retired Marine was able to give him basic teaching. The range coach Tim stopped by to check on us and gave great instruction and had my Son in law dead center in no time. Tim as well as other members made my son in law feel welcome and we had an amazing time. Guest sign in was easy and welcoming
