Questions & Answers

Q: How much for the membership for the rifle and pistol range and how long before it expires. Do you supply targets or do I.

A: How long until membership expires?

- Germaine Schauer (4 years ago)

Q: Hey - how do we contact you guys on Facebook or phone, etc? Are you currently open and what are the hours and cost?

A: You must bring your own paper targets. The rifle range has plywood backers in front of the berms at 15, 50, 100 & 220 yards. Steel targets are in front of the berms at 330, 420, 500, 600, 720, 880 & 1000 yards. You must qualify at 330 yards for each Range Safety Officer (RSO) prior to being allowed to shoot long range. ALL ROUNDS MUST IMPACT INSIDE THE BERM. If you fail to reach the berm at any distance, you will not be allowed to continue shooting at that distance. NO EXEPTIONS! THE RANGE SAFETY OFFICER IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY ON THE RANGE. During fire season the range may go to paper only on short notice. Check the website for details prior to coming out to shoot in the warmer months. Tracer rounds are NEVER allowed at anytime. Explosive rounds are NEVER allowed at anytime. Steel core rounds are allowed on paper ONLY. Never on steel targets.

Q: Shotgun aloud? Tactical, not skeet.

A: It's built using the contours of the land and is pretty small. All shooting is done at benches. One end is for pistols. See no reason they wouldn't allow you to shoot from the pistol end.

A: Has this been confirmed?

- Evan Verduin (6 years ago)

Q: How do I become a member and who to contact?

A: What is the question?

- RANDY CANTRELL (a year ago)

Q: Can my 15 year old son shoot a pistol at this gun range

A: When i was there they allowed pistols on the far right hand tables. $10 a person. Kids allowed at parental discretion. So yeah I think you'd be able to do that.

Nicely setup range, but I don't understand weird rules. After repeatedly hitting plates at 500 yards, wouldn't let me shoot at farther plates. Why even have them set up if you can't shoot em?

Correction, yearly membership is from March 1st, to March 1st of each year. Membership meeting is February each year & renewal dues are due at that time. A membership is valid for husband and wife, but you must submit a membership application for each person. You can also get a membership for children under 18. The 2024 yearly membership fee is $150 and $25 for each child under 18. A child under 18 must always be accompanied by an adult. The range is scheduled to be open from 2 PM to dusk, every day. The range opening is subject to weather conditions. The range will not open on windy days. Check the website before coming to find out if weather conditions have the range closed. Be sure to refresh your browser when checking status of website. On days of low attendance, the Range Safety Officer (RSO) has the discretion to close early. You must bring your own paper targets. The rifle range has plywood backers in front of the berms at 15, 50, 100 & 220 yards. Steel targets are in front of the berms at 330, 420, 500, 600, 720, 880 & 1000 yards. Love this place!! Thanks to the owner Nick and his guys for making the range so nice and keeping it alive! I appreciate it so much! Its so much nicer to just drive down torwards Mica peak than going all the way to fishtrap or rock lake so again TY! Only thing I could suggest is yall raise the table a foot or so because its hard to get down to the scope and see your target!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR NEW SHOOTERS AND FAMILIES! Went here to sight a rifle for the first time, had a great experience! Went by myself and there were two nice gentlemen working. The boss provided the rules clearly and kindly and was not at all rude when reminding me of them. He also gave me tips on how to use my lead sled properly without judgement and spotted for me. Had conversations with the men and a generally good time while I puzzled out what I was doing. Had a great vibe there and provided an amazing experience.
