Recently my husband and I were in Kansas as part of a trip we were making from Virginia to shoot at different sporting clays ranges. One of the ranges we found was Lynbrooke in Augusta, Kansas. We were told the range was taken over by the husband and wife couple who now own it for about a year and a half. We shot their course and found it to be one of the best we found on our trip. Each station was set up to shoot at either a fifty round or hundred clays overall. The presentation of the birds was great. The target setter at this range knows his business. Each station has a diagram showing the target path. Still a demo pair is given to view each pair before shooting. The course is patterned so that walking it is no problem, but carts are available at a nominal cost. We met the owners and members of the staff. All were friendly and professional. We left with the impression that safety and enjoyment were the highlights of our experience.
