this is a great range. it has a short pistol range and ~100yd rifle range. there are multiple shooting bays with lots of room and seating. Probably the BEST thing about this range is that the whole range is covered so the sun isn't beating down on you the whole time

Updated 9/23/23 ... it's a nice place to shoot , Handgun or Rifles with a berm . Bathrooms were clean and nice as well . The trash was left by lazy people that bring crazy stuff to shoot at like a Teddy Bear , and two liter bottles . Over all a nice place ...

Nice range but bring something to put your targets on

It is a very nice shooting range it will be absolutely terrific if you had some way of putting up your targets. The road you have to drive on to get back to the range is TERRIBLE and of course the state won't fix it.

You will need to bring something to support your target. Its clean and feels safe there. Go early in the day and you will probably have the place to yourself. It's a very pretty drive to get there and there are some nice places to cool off in the creek.

I really like this range. They keep it clean. It has bathrooms. It's only $3 to use. Make sure you bring your own target stand. Pistol range and rifle range face 2 different directions and the range is nicely covered.

Great little range if you come prepared. There are no amenities such as target holders etc. you have to remember everything you need.

The good... The range has 4 or 5 benches on the rifle range. There's a long bench and room for several people on the handgun side. It's only $3 per vehicle. There are bathrooms. The bad... The payment system needs a few basic instructions. The envelope box was out of envelopes and people had stuck money in that box(which is unlocked) needless to say it was empty when we left. The range was one big mud hole. Water standing on both sides. I understand it's been raining by why not fill the low spots with gravel. The closest I could set my handgun target without setting it in water was about 30 yds. It's a little better on the rifle range but not much. There's trash everywhere. Mostly wet boxes and left behind paper targets but empty casings were plenty. Bring your own target holders and a hammer to drive it into the ground as the ground is very hard.

We went there on a Wednesday wasn't too busy. We did clean up our mess. And we had lots of fun especially the guys and my youngest daughter November 2021.

It has tremendous unrealized potential. You need to bring your own target holders and it gets kind of junked up from users leaving their trash laying around sometimes. Otherwise a decent and affordable place to safely shoot.

Please be advised you must bring everything you might possibly need if you are going to use this range. I should have read the reviews rather than the rating before coming down. I overheard a gentleman in a gun store say that "it was nice" while referring to the range. He then went on to talk about other things. I drove for an hour and a half to get there. The last four miles was down an unimproved road in terrible shape. I read all the directions about the day fee system, and was excited to be there as I have not found a place to shoot in the last 2.5 years since I moved to the area. I went up to the range to see what was the situation was before unloading all my gear. I was disappointed to see that there was not a bench of any kind. I was shocked to see that there were no target backers at all. The only way to shoot would have been to wad up your target and throw it on the ground. I've lived in six different states, and this as the first time I had ever seen a range without backers. You must take your own stand. All in all, over three hours in the truck for nothing. I can't say that what I did see was worth coming back.

Needs LOTS of work, and maybe a little more supervision of the site. While we were cleaning up our shells a gentleman did show up to sweep up "some" of the shells left by others who did not but the range was trashed. This was our first time so I cannot judge it from past experiences but it was terrible. It is posted that a $3 fee is required but not one of the 5 other vehicles left money. If they had it probably would have been stolen from the homeless guy living in the woods that was stalking the place as there was not a lock on the box. It also says nothing but paper targets...but there were plastic bottles and jugs, aluminum cans and general trash left on the range lanes. So much so it made it hard to walk to place our targets. IF, BIG IF, we return we will bring a rake and our target stand. Also, be warned, the road is very rugged and at points it is only wide enough for one vehicle.

Decent shooting range. It's an outdoor range, so there's casings everywhere. People don't really pick up their trash from targets. Also there aren't any target holders, so bring your own. The road getting to there is pretty bad, it's doable in a car just mind the pot holes. Take the shorter way in from 315.
