Q: I have heard the range is relocating. I am moving to the area and would like to know kind of nice to have one close.
A: I have not heard anything about the range moving. It's a great range to be a member of.
- Craig Van Auken (5 years ago)
Q: I would like to join. Are you accepting applications?
A: Go to the website to download an application. Follow the instructions and send it in via email
- Craig Van Auken (5 years ago)
Q: Can you fire a 50 cal barrett at the range
A: As far as I know, yes. However, they don't have ranges long enough to demonstrate the full potential of the Barrett rifle. I do know that several law enforcement organizations come to the range to qualify. Also, I've seen border patrol and customs fire full auto on the short ranges. The FOP is also 24/7/365. It's best to send an email to them or call the numbers on the website with any specific questions.

The dust from the roadway is horrible I live behind the fence line watching and hearing the patrol cars flying down at speeds sometimes at 40 50 mph. No respect at all try slowing down or better yet paving the roadway. Disgusting

IΓÇÖm writing to express my frustration and disappointment with your misleading membership application process. According to your website, the requirements for applying include a $50 fee and providing either retired law enforcement credentials or, if those are unavailable, a letter verifying prior law enforcement experience. I supplied my retired law enforcement credentials along with my firearms cards and ID, and I paid the $50 application fee. Afterward, I received an email demanding a letter from my previous employerΓÇösomething that was not clearly stated as a mandatory requirement on your site. I contacted my former department, only to find that obtaining such a letter is impossible due to how long it has been and the inefficiency of their HR department. This has resulted in nothing but wasted time and money. You have refused to refund my $50, even though I followed the steps outlined on your website and am unable to proceed due to unclear and inconsistent requirements. This feels like a scam to collect application fees with no accountability. Your refusal to refund applicants who genuinely attempt to meet your criteria is unacceptable and unprofessional. I strongly urge you to revise your process and refund my $50 immediately.

I understand that the range is open 24/7 but I just canΓÇÖt believe how disrespectful people are, shooting all through the night. Do yΓÇÖall not care that there are families trying to sleep. How would you feel if they opened a gun range near your home and you had to hear that all night?

Edit, In-reply: Yeah saw you using that copy-paste for others. Complying with the law is one thing but actually respecting people is completely different. The housing development wasn't in place 30 years ago, times change, you should too. There's housing being built everyday and if you were these God loving great people you try to depict yourself as, maybe you would consider other people not just your yourselves. Gonna have to pass a new law, just, for, you. "we care" "we were here first" are you serious? Adjust your times you inconsiderates. Residents live and work real jobs, if you cared you would have some regulations not allow constant gunshots of whatever caliber throughout the night and weekends. Disgusting.

The range it's self is left much to be desired, Although having access to a. Range 24/7 is awesome, if you own nightvision or have a weird work schedule, this place allows you to shoot when ever you want.

Place was awesome when I first became a mbr but then everything changed overnight. New mgmt? CanΓÇÖt bring family or a friend. Main reason I joined. Family friendly. When questioned about same. The mgmt responded with basically ΓÇ£we donΓÇÖt care ΓÇ£. ΓÇ£Have plenty others waiting. ΓÇ£. I served over 27 yrs and son currently serving in marine corps but no longer welcome I guess.

I have been a supporter of the police since childhood. My Father was the union representative for the PBA of New York. As City Councilman of Danbury Ct I made sure that the police received all of the equipment they requested. Now that I live in St. Augustine, it is a pleasure to be able to enjoy this excellent gun range. Everyone at the range is friendly and ready to help you with any problem you may encounter. A great lifetime experience.

So I'm new to the area as I called in gunshots not realizing there is a firing range close by!! I respect this. But on the flip side it is becoming louder as I am in a RV an my dog as well as others around me are having the same issue!! Yes we could move , yet I'm sure most of the hand guns/ service pistils are not as loud as what I'm hearing. With this said I respect you all , but please be mindful to others around you as well. If this continues! I will speak out loud to the city

I don't like writing reviews like this, but I feel potential members need to know the truth. I'm really disappointed where this range has gone in the past few years. It currently has a BOD that is out of control, adding ridiculous rules and unjustified increased dues. I can now no longer bring my son (the only guest I've ever brought for the past 15 years) with me. Because of this, 2022 will likely be the last year I am a member. They've also implemented some ridiculous rule that if you ever leave membership you must pay to ΓÇ£catch upΓÇ¥ on "missed" dues if you want to come back. Need to move away for a few years? Simply cannot afford it for a year or two due to economic hardships? It'll cost you big when or if you ever want to come back. They used the example; if you decide not to use the range for five years, you'll have to pay $1,000+ to get back in. This must be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of; and now after the new ΓÇ£no guestsΓÇ¥ rule eliminating my son from being able to come with me, IΓÇÖm done. As for the previous reviewer that mentioned the arrogant management... he's not lying. I won't go into details, but emails are answered as if you are dirt, and they could care less about your questions or concerns. This range used to be great. Now, it's just a business. edit: I just wanted to edit to add that it is insulting to be told guests are no longer allowed (as mentioned previously) due to (insert several excuses they provided here), and then a month later, guests are now miraculously allowed... for $20. Oh, and after this review was posted, they also miraculously decided 2023 dues would not rise. Hmmmm. Stay away from this range. The BOD should be removed.

After speaking with the President of the FOP LODGE 113; and after a long discussion regarding the changes that have taken place at the organization, I now fully understand why these changes are occurring and have decided to retain my membership with the lodge. I was not aware of some very important actions that had taken place against the Lodge because of a single bad choice that was made and it had nothing to do with the lodge. I let the FOP 113 President know how much myself and my family enjoyed the lodge and all its members, and I take back any and all comments made by me concerning the lodge turning into a business; which was the furthest from the truth; I did not have all the facts. I now have them and will wait to see what the outcome will be. I hope that the FOP 113 can resolve the issue at hand and get back to as close as it used to be before this action against the lodge took place. Hoping for a good outcome. Good luck! Luis Arteaga

Mr. Arteaga, If you had shown up to the last several meetings, you would know the reasons for the changes. You are more than welcome to call me and I will discuss it with you. Please find out the whole truth rather than a convenient truth for you before posting disparaging comments. Our mission is to take care of Law Enforcement officers and we have a special relationship with our associates as well. I await your call.

Terrible gun club and member service. Arrogant management that does not cater to law enforcement regardless of the name.. FBI agents using their memberships and giving pointers to guests, Asked to leave because they said giving lessons. Just making sure gun safety. Ridiculous and not a good way to present shooting safety and camaraderie among younger shooters, especially on today climate. Shooters need to promote safety with all the craziness going on but this club does not care nor cater to their clientele!!! I defiantly donΓÇÖt recommend this club.

Absolutely crazy that they are open 24/7. Who needs/ has to be shooting a gun at all hours of the day.. it is constant and is really a disturbance. The noise has gotten out of control. Should be indoor not outdoor if they are going to shoot 24/7.

What kind of inconsiderate person shoots at midnight on Sunday? I (and a hundred other neighbors in Sebastian Cove) have work in the morning and couldn't get to sleep with the constant banging. Must've gone thru three boxes of rounds. Jeez!!?!
