Great facilities. Large roofed archery spread with nice backstop. Rifle range roofed too. 25, 50 and 100yrd at one enclosed parcel. The 200 and 300 yrd benches are separate, which allows those shooters to walk down to your target without having to wait for the large 25, 50 100yrd benches to clear. I'd give it 5 stars if every bench had a seat. 1 pivot seat for 2 benches. A blind chair or bucket would assure you always have an empty bench.

First time shooting here and what an amazing range. We drove 40 minutes just to use it. It's very well kept and maintained. Mon-Sati it's 8am till sundown now be aware that changes with the season so it can be 9pm in the summer and 5pm or earlier in the winter. During Sundays it's 12pm till sundown. The game warden does come around and inspect licenses or range permits so make sure you have one in person and it's current. This range is very much ran as a big boy range. You won't have someone holding your hand showing you how to behave properly. READ the rules before you start shooting. They're posted at each range and also on the website. We'll definitely be back to keep utilizing this facility.

Been going here several years now. Just make sure you have a range permit or hunting license on hand in case the game warden rolls up. A lot of times I've seen someone pull in in a random pick up, park, never get out, and leave. It's probably the game warden I'd suspect. $35 range fee for a year long permit. Only downside is theres a limit of 6 rounds in the magazine at any time. Pretty stupid and done for no apparent reason but it's what it is.

***UPDATE 2/17/21*** Per Game Commission Officer - Sunset = Phone sunset time (VERY STRICT) - Rifle Magazine Capacity = 6 - 200/300 range is considered separate from 50/100 and can be ran independently. [Pistol Range] Monday-Saturday (8am-Sunset) and Sunday (Noon-Sunset). HavenΓÇÖt been here in years, but the newer roofs and concrete floors are super nice! Only used the pistol range. Range does look like 10, 25, and 50 yards. ***Pistol range entrance road is located down the road to the right of the rifle range***

I had been going to another State range about 30 minutes away, south towards Dover - Rt74, S. WOW! What a HUGE difference. This range, although an extra 20 min drive for me is ABSOLUTELY worth it. So much more interesting opportunities to practice AND challenge yourself. Great! Good job to whoever takes care of this range and to whom designed the layout initially. Thanks !

When searching using Google on Sunday morning, pistol range showed 8 am Sunday opening. When we went to the range at 0900, there was no barrier up or sign at entrance noting otherwise . We entered the range set up targets and to shoot (with three members of my family who served in the US government from outside the state, including my daughter heading to Afghanistan), we began to use the range. During the time we were there two other cars rolled up wanting to use the range but left without speaking with us. After we got off one round of firing, a conservation officer walked up from behind the brush to our rear and said he wanted to talk to our group. He then pointed out to us on a sign in very small type that the range was not open on Sunday until 12 oΓÇÖclock. When I spoke with him about the fact that Google showed the range was shown as opening at 0800, he said he was aware of the search engine problem but we were still at fault for not having checked the state website specifically. He also noted that he had testified about that in court several times. After having written all of us citations, and noting that they would only be $100 + fees instead of $200 violations for each of us in using the range before 1200 (because we stopped promptly after he walked up we were respectful), we packed up, departed at 1025, had breakfast and returned home. At 1215 when I went back to google to show my wife the disconnect MIRACULOUSLY the website and google link are now fixed to show new time and pictures of the new range construction. Also, when my daughter went to the state listing (during breakfast) for ranges, no times were shown as part of the range data page. I understand that Google is sometimes not accurate, but it draws its info from PA state sites and if there is a noted problem that PA state officers acknowledge is causing violations, then it should be corrected promptly and not after the fact. I will probably pay the fine and court costs without contest, but this is an example of why the taxpayers and law abiding people of the state lose confidence and respect for the public servants and servicing agencies.

Dont believe everything you read. The hours of operation are noon till 5 pm on Sunday. Game Department people hiding in bushes waiting to bust or card everyone and anyone they can hassle. Wonder why hunting and shooting are loosing people. Real joke.

If you are going for a hike, hunting and just practicing at the range, it is a great time. As far as the range goes - There is a rifle and pistol range. Rifle is 50yd, 100yd, 200yd and 300yd. Pistol is 10yd, 25yd and 50yd. You will need either a PA hunting license or a PA annual range permit. The game commission does check quite often. **UPDATE - There are now 3 pavilions for the rifle range and a concrete floor Hours: Open daily 8am - Sunset Sunday Noon - Sunset
