I recently took a class with Instructor Cannon, and it was only my second time handling a firearm. I took three lessons with Cannon, and I canΓÇÖt recommend him enough! When I started, I was extremely nervous, but his calm demeanor and clear instruction immediately put me at ease. This place is a great place for 1 on 1 training. This place has changed names due to the fact that it was bought by a place in Virginia. Unfortunately the person who was training me was let go due to that and his name was JT Thornton. Fortunately Mr. JT recommended I continue with training by being trained by the person who trained him. That person is Mr. Key Gray. He is phenomenal and being trained by him will take you very far.

I love this range and I got my first gun here. Skye is very nice and friendly and he is real and very practical. The staff are really friendly. Tyrone is really nice too and whenever he in the range, he would come over and teach me a few things or two and he is very knowledgeable about firearm. I decided to become a member at this range and itΓÇÖs been the best experience so far.

Great range and excellent people they make the difference. Great advantages if you get a membership. One surprise I found was the excellent gunsmith Serigo he is smart, fast and cares about his work. His prices are very competitive. He is an example of the super people at Stoddard's. They have an excellent stock of guns for sale and rent. It is a one stop shop for gun owners needs and their family fun. I have an update to Stoddard's advantages --They have a great guy in charged of the Silencer program, Chris. He helped me jump thru the hoops of buying a silencer. They have the ability to take the finger print data and paperwork right there. Chris held my hand thru the process and I now have a silencer for my Sig. Super product and service from Chris at Stoddard's!! I keep finding reasons why Stoddard's is a great Range and supplier of guns and accessories. The answer is "great people". They have several women that can help your wife, girlfriend or daughter feel at home at the Range. CeCe, Rose and Mary can assist and explain much better than the guys sometimes. The men and women are exceptional-add that to a great show room and range and it equals great safe fun. Teaching an old dog new tricks--This May I found another thing great about Stoddard's Midtown. Some people can and others teach, I found a person who can do both. I found a great guy to teach me to be a better and safer shooter. He is fantastic at identifying problems and presenting solutions. He presents practical shooting tests you can build upon making you safer and better trough practice. The teacher is "The Cannon". If you are lucky enough to get a session with him you will be better in many ways. He takes both member and non members for lessons. This old Navy dog recommends him highly! UPDATE: 2025 --THE GREAT GETS GREATER Stoddard's has been bought by Freedom Outdoors and is now Freedom shooting center. The on line order program is larger and easier to use. They have sales every month for different companies like Glock, Sig Sauer and Daniels Defense. They also run sales on ammo. Freedom has many excellent training programs and will be expanding their offers to Atlanta soon. This is a great expansion of Atlanta and has been going on for several months. Key and Cannon are still here for excellence in private lessons and also CeCe. They are great instructors and you will be lucky if you get an appointment with them. I have my annual membership for 2025 and looking forward to a fun year. Come to Freedom you will be glad you did. The Great is Greater!!

This store/range is great, especially for first-time gun owners. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and they do a fantastic job of relating to each customer at their own unique skill and experience level. Aqil H. walked me through the process of choosing my first firearm for home defense. His suggestions were very thoughtful and he answered every single question I had (and I had quite a few). He let me view and safely handle as many firearms as I liked to get a feel for the right one. I ultimately chose a gorgeous ROSE Sig Sauer that came with a free safe and magazine loader. If you're familiar with this brand, you'll know it's a fantastic choice for new gun owners. Aqil also helped me choose from a variety of personal defense and range rounds. I can't say I've ever had a shopping experience as thoughtful and as personalized as this one. Aqil was with me every step of the way. Thanks for everything, Aqil & team!

Ive been here twice and called a few times. The customer service is always on point. Being a new shooter it's important to me that the people there actually seems to want to help you whether it's over the phone or in person.

I had a class with Cannon today and am thrilled with the results. He is professional, patient and encouraging. I feel more comfortable and knowledgeable after just one class. ItΓÇÖs a great place for training however if youΓÇÖre a new buyer, buy a gun from Academy Sports. I bought a gun from StoddardΓÇÖs years ago before the Perimeter Academy Sports existed and it was still Bed, Bath, and Beyond and now realize that I spent way too much on a gun. There are waaaay cheaper options at Academy Sports.

My sister and I, both middle aged women, had a fantastic private lesson experience with Canon. We felt so safe and Canon is the BEST teacher! As first time gun owners, we were quite intimidated, but now we are excited to continue learning and practicing. We feel 100% more proficient with a glock than we did when we walked into Stoddard's Range. Thank you so much Canon, we'll be back soon!

had an excellent experience working with Levi Najarro at StoddardΓÇÖs Gun Range to get my Thunder Chicken silencer by Q. This was my first time purchasing a silencer, and Levi was there to guide me every step of the way. He walked me through setting up my Silencer Shop account, handling all the NFA paperwork, and understanding the entire process. Levi was super professional, answering all my questions like a true expert, and made the whole experience fast and enjoyable. expensive and the hoops to jump thru prior to using the range are assinine; plus i dont care for the data mining safety waiver they want you to fill out (just take my id and give it when im done shooting). you can tell attorneys own this place; i prefer quickshot

I've been to many ranges nationwide and Stoddard's by far is one of the few I would go out of my way to visit. Staff is very knowledgeable and just observing how they interact with new shooter's reaffirms me recommending this range to anyone. Keep up the good work, Stoddard's. It does get busy, so becoming a member can help get you in faster.

Super hit and miss. There are good things about this range, like that people have to pass a safety exam before shooting. Weird things have occurred as well though. Sometimes people do crazy things there, and they aren't taken off range. One time a guy was mag dumping and an employee told him "you're not supposed to hit the ceiling" and let him keep shooting. I was partnered with a trainer and invited to an outdoor training, but when I tried to schedule the training I was ghosted. Which sucks because I was really looking forward to it. When the trainer saw me in person, he avoided eye contact. No idea what that's about. The thing that really got to me today was I went in trying to trade in a gun, and was told they don't do that anymore but employees will buy guns from people. I thought that was a bit strange. An employee degradingly offered me $50 for a pistol that sells used for $400. I said no, and he laughed and told me to try a pawn shop. I thought that was very unprofessional. In the end, I shot here a lot for a while. I bought a gun here once. But over time the douchery is just wack. I would rather go to a range where people are more down to earth and kind.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices. First time gun owner and they showed me for free how to take apart my gun and general advice on how to maintain it. Love their range and I've had a lot of improvement thanks to them. Great knife selection too, and affordable starter guns on their online site that you can get shipped to the store. Especially recommend M&P9 shield ez.

StoddardΓÇÖs staff and overall environment is professional and puts safety first. We always feel welcomed and are greeted by the friendly staff at each visit. We have been lucky enough to have had private classes with one of the employees, THE Cannon. His professionalism, knowledge and patience makes him a top tier instructor. Whether you have a wide knowledge of guns or are a novice to the sport/hobby, Stoddards is the place to be!

10/10 experience. David was very helpful,very knowledgeable, very friendly . Even with showing us how to load and unload an AR. I would very much recommend him to anybody ! Definitely coming back and even signing up for a membership because of him . 🤘🏾

Mr. Cannon is an amazing instructor he helped my grandmother build confidence with protecting herself with her firearm and showing her a proper way in a more comfortable way to handle her firearm She wasnΓÇÖt the strongest at first, but now she feels more confident after having a one oh1 session with Mr. Cannon I really do appreciate everything that he has done for me and my family by teaching us. We were forever and always get our proper assistance on firearms from him.
