Q: Do u issue the firearms to shoot with. Or do we need to bring our own?
A: We do not have rental firearms. Shooters must have their NYPD-issued pistol permits, current club membership and their own firearms.

A: You must be at least 21 years of age which is the minimum age for NYPD firearms permits. You need an NYPD firearms permit to be a member.

A: Sorry, we dont rent any firearms. You have to have your own, with a NYC permit.

A: No. It's a private club. You must have membership & NYC permits for handgun or rifle

Q: I have a shotgun and a rifle can I shoot these weapons ?
A: We can accommodate the rifle if it's .22 LR. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate higher rifle caliber or any shotgun calibers. Pistols and .22LR rifles only.

Q: WhatΓÇÖs a age requirement?
A: 21 years old to hold a membership (this is driven by NYPD's 21 year old license requirement). We can accommodate juniors (12-18 year old youth) if accompanied by a parent who is an active member of the club. But youth members are limited to .22LR rifles - due to NYPD/NYC firearms laws.

This range is close to my house. Parking for the most part is easy. The members of the club are friendly and very helpful. IΓÇÖve been a member since 2016 and usually go when time allows.

NYC is not huge on firearms. Thats understandable. However, I do like to come shoot and practice my aim from time to time. Stuyvesant Rod & Gun Club provides a safe environment to shoot, practice and learn about firearms.

Im so glad I joined! Last week I stepped in for a spin to check out the place, I was surprised how everyone here knows each other itΓÇÖs like a big family. Love the vibe of this club! Came in to use the range the first time everyone in the range look out for each other, seniors club members came to say hello and point out where I need to improve on and tips of becoming a better shooter. Big thumbs up!

Nice old school old fashion range , people who help one another , these type of old world establishments no longer exist …. Very grateful to meet the fellas at this range , these guys have tons of experience and treat you like family ….. might have to call a few times , hard to hear the phone with the guns going boom .

After I obtained my NYC Premise Residents License I joined SRGC and I am glad I did. The range officers in charge of safety are nice and knowledgeable. Other gun owners I have met there are polite and respectful. The shooting lanes are great. It feels great to grab my range bag, ammo bag and head to the range to practice and Improve my shooting.

nice place to shoot. knowledgeable people attend. always willing to help you. they even have 2 end points where on Friday night you can shoot hand cannons (50's)
