A: Don't rent a gun , rent everything your heart desires. They offer a wide range weapons. When I went i tried an AR, AK , desert eagle and a bunch more. It was fun and was really safe because the instructor was great.

A: When you are at Sunset Hill you can sample many weapons, by sample I mean an Instructor loads 5-7 bullets and puts the gun into your hands at the shooting bench. Its all very supervised.

Q: How old do you have to be To shoot
A: Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 21 years of age. 8 years and older can shoot air guns, 13 years and older can shoot rifles and shotguns, 16 years and older can shoot handguns. Q: How long is rifle range? Can you bring .50 cal?
A: Range is less than 50 yards, you would destroy the backstops. Save your time and leave it home, no public range in NEPA allows that, some places have even banned 338 Lapua

A: To shoot your own gun you have to become a member. It's $40 for the year. Then you pay to rent the bay you shoot in.

Q: Can I bring my guns and ammo?
A: Yes you definitely can bring your own firearm. I am not certain about ammo but I believe you can use your own as well. When you first go there you will need to go through their safety course to be issued a license but then once you have the license (I think) it is only $15 per visit for the rental of the lane. I don't recall the cost of the training/license. I want to say it is $40 but I could be wrong on that.

Q: Can i purchase any weapons like a pistol
A: Yes. We have approximately 100 new handguns in stock for sale. For first time buyers, we offer our Try, Buy & Train program. You can try up to three different firearms and, if you purchase a gun from us, you don't pay for the firearms you shot, and one of our NRA Certified Instructors will spend at least 30 minutes, one on one, teaching you how to safely load, unload and clear that firearm. If you are a PA resident, you must be able to pass the PICS background check. If you are an out of state resident, you must have an FFL (Licensed Dealer) in your home state that we can ship the firearm to. For more info and details on Try, Buy & Train, call us at 570-629-3981.

A: You can access our waiver on our website at www.sunsetrange.com. You will complete one for yourself and one for each minor. They don't need an ID but you and any other adults should bring valid form of photo ID such as passport or drivers license.

This was my first time ever going to a shooting range or shooting a gun at all, and it was a 100% great experience. They're extremely dedicated to safety. The guns are all locked and only the instructor touches them until they've checked it out and demonstrated the hold. The ammo is in a locked box in each instructor's hand, and they don't load the gun until you've held it unloaded and confirmed you're comfortable. Brandon was our instructor and he was wonderful. I was a little worried I'd be talked down to as a newcomer, but he was welcoming and straightforward about recommending guns and teaching me how to hold, aim, and shoot them. And he was genuinely enthusiastic when I did well! I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the Poconos.

My husband and I recently did the VIP experience for our anniversary and had an excellent experience. Our instructors, Antonio and Jison were knowledgeable about the firearms and incredibly thorough in their demonstrations. This range is perfect for all skill levels, from first time shooters to experienced gun owners. On top of that, they have some pretty awesome firearms that you one find anywhere else. This experience is worth every penny!

This place is dope. Antonio and Luke were awesome instructors on our DefCon 4 experience. The SAW machine gun, sniper rifle, and grenade launcher, were very memorable experiences. Super cool stuff with super cool staff. We'll be back for more action. Thanks boys.

Over the long weekend we had the opportunity to experience Sunset Hill Shooting Range. It was a phenomenal experience especially given our instructor Tyler C. It was our first time experiencing firearms and Tyler walked my wife and I through numerous weapons - each time meticulously showing us how to properly handle them. He did so with a great sense of humor and absolute professionalism. He made our first experience so good that we think we are hooked on a new hobby. Thanks, Tyler!

We booked this for my friends Bachelor party and it was the perfect morning. Would definitely recommend for anyone especially beginners. I donΓÇÖt remember both instructors names but Antonio and his buddy in the VIP section were very professional and safe. Had such a great time. Our date was 2/16/25 at 10:00am if that helps for the other instructor

We loved the experience. It was 4 of us and we tried so many guns totally worth it. Our Instructor was JERE, he was such an awesome instructor and fun he answered all the questions even the stupid ones and we got to take the shells home which was fire. Had some guns brought out to try too which was a blast. Ask for JERE when you're there. Will visit soon again. Thanks for the experience.
