The training is exceptional! ItΓÇÖs a great program for school communities! I know the first training for our school was canceled at the last minute, they did reschedule and come out. The training and information is amazing! The last minute cancellations seem to be a common issue. The content and course is fantastic!

SCAM ARTIST!!!!! I own vacation rentals in WY, Joe has been coming for years to teach his classes. Sometimes people donΓÇÖt book on Airbnb and I enter their card manually. JoeΓÇÖs card was declined and he has not paid his bill of $1,400.00 and itΓÇÖs been almost a month!!!! Real ΓÇ£tacticalΓÇ¥ Joe!!!!!

I have been through various active shooter courses and believe Joe is the best at understanding and articulating the mindset of the shooter and the victim. He gives you both perspectives which is essential to understanding how to counter the enemy. In addition, his training incorporates life like scenarios which help the individual solidify the training into practice.

My class was canceled the day before it was to start. After a BBB complaint and also a complaint to PayPal I was finally able to get a refund back after months of back and forth with the business. The business did not refund me, PayPal issued the refund after my complaint.

The class I enrolled for was cancelled the day before with the promise that it would be rescheduled. After weeks of no rescheduling and my emails requesting a refund being ignored, I filed a dispute for the payment. I also spoke to the owner, Joe. He indicated he would no longer be doing private classes because of BS reviews but he would refund my money within a couple of hours. He didn't respond to the Paypal request to refund. Paypal then sent me this email: An eCheck payment from Tacone Consulting was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not ship items until you receive payment. This company has made a habit out of taking money, cancelling the class, and pocketing the money.

RIP OFF!!! Class was cancelled 2 hours before start time. Multiple emails exchanged regarding a refund that never came. A credit card charge dispute was required to get my money back. Same thing happened to another student that registered for the same class. They promised 60% off a make up class that never happened. Stay away from these bungholes.

I took Joe's CCW class in 2012 and loved it! I loved it so much that I brought my wife and sister in-law back for the same class. Joe is a great instructor with an incredible knowledge base. You can tell very quickly that he's passionate about his craft and loves passing important knowledge on to people so they can defend themselves against harm. I highly recommend TAC*ONE Consulting. Joe has a customer for life!

TacOne Consulting cancelled on my group less than 24 hours before our Pistols course. We had already pre-paid over $1000 which we are still in the process of recovering. It has been over a month. Edit: We were refunded after a lot of back and forth.

***update*** Since leaving a review here, on yelp and filing a complaint with the BBB our money has been refunded, finally. 7/31/2017 All 5 star reviews? Looks a little skewed. Here's one to give a difference in opinion, not just the "same old" praise. As far as teaching, yes, they're great. But be careful!!! My husband andI have been trying to get money refunded that they owe us for quite a while now! First we were double charged for our second class with them. Promised to refund it, but never did. Claimed there was some reason or another that it wouldn't go through. So we found another class we wanted to take. They put that money towards the third class and charged us the difference (gave us a discount for the trouble). But the third class got rescheduled. Then, we drove out to where it wad supposed to be held, on the rescheduled date. But nobody was there! Turns out Joe was just about to hop on a plane out of state. We were never notified. So, we decided we just wanted our money back. I sent an email to Kayla on June 28th. Got no response. My husband sent Joe a text. He finally got a response. Joe said he would refund us our money. On July 13th Joe sent my husband a message stating he'd processed the refund and it would take 2-3 days to go through. Here we are, the end of July (far more than 2-3 days) and STILL no refund!!! And nothing being done or offered to do to correct it.

Incredible staff, bad ass instructor, very hands on, and extremely informative. Definitely my #1 suggestion to anyone wanting to learn new or pursue active shooting.

Today I took the 6 hour CCW class at TAC ONE Consulting instructed by Tony Schluck. I would absolutely recommend this class for anyone who is looking to get their concealed carry permit. Tony is an incredible instructor! He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough going over all the material and answering everybody's questions. I left the class today feeling  more confident  about carrying than I ever have before. What I loved about the 6 hour class was that we were able to role play various deadly force scenarios using simunitions. The first portion of class Tony went over the laws, rights, and responsibilities of a concealed carry permit holder, along with some basic knowledge on handguns. The second half of the class we we're able to shoot simunitions at targets and practice different scenarios and techniques. We role played and shoot at other students while being shot at (everyone wearing protective gear of corse). This class shows you how you would actually react in a situation where somebody was approaching you, moving in on you, and possibly shooting at you. What I really found beneficial about this class was the ability to see your own reaction in real life scenarios. Not only did Tony teach us our responsibilities as CCW permit holders, but we also learned real life skills incase we are ever in a life-threatening situation. Going to a gun range and firing off some rounds at a target is great, but in a life-threatening situation that targets not going to stand still for you. If you are ever physically threatened how will you react? Have you ever put yourself in a drill that simulates that? Taking this course allows you to practice just that. I am definitely going to be taking the advanced CCW class in the near future.

The lady and I took their self defense class. Great program and the instructors, Joe and John were awesome. The class was majority hands on with them demonstrating various things and then everyone got to practice. They were very friendly and excellent instructors. Would definitely recommend the class and would go back for additional trainings they offer.

I took the combined CCW and self defense training last weekend. Joe and his staff are experts. They were engaging and very supportive...especially to the women in our class. My wife will be in the next one. Thanks for your passion and dedication! jim p

I took the 6 hour CCW class with Joe and was AMAZED! He is a great instructor and full of hands on, real life experience. He not only gets right down to it when he teaches and fills you full of knowledge, skills, and makes you feel safer when it comes to handling a gun, but also shares great stories and gets the whole class laughing to make it not just serious but fun as well! The actual hands on part of the class is second to none! You are put into actual scenarios and get to shoot simunition rounds at one another. I can't think of a better way to get a feel for real life situations that you could face one day than this! I would highly recommend this course or any of Joe's courses to those looking to get a CCW permit or take self defense classes. He is a top notch instructor and in my mind the best in Denver!
