Shot the ranges first GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) match there this weekend. Excellent facility and staff. Match went well and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Hopefully we'll see more participants at next year's match and set a new record for Talon!

I had a small issue, a simple misunderstanding, and the owner took the time out of his day to personally resolve it. You can't ask for any better than that.

IΓÇÖve been a few times. I wont go anywhere else. I love how they donΓÇÖt breathe down your neck the whole time youΓÇÖre shooting but still have rules in place so everything goes smoothly and people have fun shooting their guns at the same time.

Best range in south Alabama. Great staff and facilities. My family goes at least weekly for hobby and sport shooting. God blessed another beautiful day, got to shoot and fellowship and spread God's word.

Wonderful place to shoot. ItΓÇÖs great that Dothan has something like this. ItΓÇÖs clean and its private bays are great. No more calling friends asking if I can come over and shoot. I can go whenever during operating hours.

2023 UPDATE: Talon Range (previously Dothan Gun Club) is under new ownership and the range is as awesome as ever. Very friendly staff are accommodating through and through. I re-upped my membership when I moved back to the local area and have been several times. The range offers classes, which I havenΓÇÖt done yet, but would definitely like to. If youΓÇÖre in the local area Talon Range is a must visit! My previous posting from 2019: Pros- Well-kept and clean range, plenty of space for all users, long and short distance shooting, regularly scheduled competitions, close to Dothan, fair price for membership. Cons- Unfriendly owner Overall, I really enjoyed using this range and IΓÇÖm glad I became a member. However, my experience was tainted by the attitude of the owner. He is not friendly at all and gives off a sense of distrust. His suspicion and accusatory emails are annoying and stifles the atmosphere while on the range. I know running a range isnΓÇÖt easy and comes with a lot of weariness (safety is paramount), but you must be able to suppress the attitude and make the members feel wanted and comfortable. Basically, be accommodating to the members that have good intentions. Also, randomly doubling the guest fee all but crushed the chances of bringing friends, especially those with a developing interest in shooting sports.

As a woman who had never even held a gun before, Talon Range is amazing! They are under new management, formerly Dothan Gun Club. Now the range is open to the public or you can choose to become a member like myself. All the employees are extremely knowledgeable. Everyone from beginner to experts is welcome here. I love it!

Everyone here is was knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to meet and work with. The facilities inside were great, plenty of space and great ranges outside to use. Highly Recommend

Stopped by to check out the range. Happened to talk to Greg. Very informative, very knowledgeable. Looks like everyone that uses this range takes pride ,and cleans up after themselves, keeps it nice. Talked about the competition shoots they have on the weekends. Overall great club and growing
