Questions & Answers

Q: Has the rifle range reopened since the hurricane last year?

A: For quite sometime, I think

- Dannon Vick (6 years ago)

A: Yes

- Gerald Armstrong (6 years ago)

A: 100 yard still closed. Still a great place for pistols and sighting in rifles up to 50 yds.

- Brian Walters (a year ago)

A: Saw this and it says the rifle range is down again since hurricane Ian. So 4 years later and closed again.

- chris altobelli (a year ago)

Q: What's the biggest caliber allowed at the rifle range?

A: Depends on what person is able to handle more than likely....its a outside range with good yardage so i would ass u me most any caliber.....minus tanks.... probably cant shoot tanks there ..

- Jack H (6 years ago)

A: I do not believe there is a limit except the federal law of nothing larger than .50 cal.

- Gerald Armstrong (6 years ago)

A: IDK, but probably .50

- Dannon Vick (6 years ago)

A: Any caliber up to,but not including 50 BMG - TENOROC RSO

- David Dyer (6 years ago)

A: Anything smaller than a .50 cal...even a 416 barret is ok or 458 socom

- Jackie Robinson (6 years ago)

Q: Can i shoot black powder?

A: Thanks for messaging. Yes we allow black powder on 50/100 yd rifle range.

- Brian Walters (a year ago)

Q: How much is it to shoot

A: 10$ for the day per person

- Rich Ellis (7 years ago)

A: 10$ a day for pistol and rifle. If you have a lot of kids like I do then you'll love that 15 and & under are FREE!!

- chad h talbot llc (6 years ago)

A: That is the cheapest you will find. They give you a lot of time, and it is well regulated. However, there are things that indoor shooters won't be used to. But for the price, the experience of outdoor shooting is very worth it. Bring your own amo of course.

- Keith Kwiatek (7 years ago)

A: Is the ride range open

- James Berry (6 years ago)

Q: Is public hog hunting still available?

A: Yes check fwc website

- Cody Cooner (a year ago)

Q: Just wondering, i know there is no rapid fire, but what is the reason for it? Maybe distracting for other shooters?

A: Thanks for the info. This is a controlled family friendly public facility and not all shooters have the experience or training for controlled rapid fire situations. It also creates an unsafe, distracting and dangerous environment in all our lanes for other shooters.

- Tenoroc Public Shooting Sports (6 years ago)

A: I am a RSO at Tenoroc and rapid fire is not allowed for safety reasons. If you saw some of the shooters poor accuracy you would understand. Look at the white backers and wood support & you will see holes from top to bottom. Rapid fire would just make it worse.

- David Dyer (6 years ago)

A: Define rapid fire?

- Tony Kujawski (5 years ago)

A: I think they dont want any oppss around other shooters and kids.

- Eddie Rodriguez (6 years ago)

A relaxing environment with knowledgeable staff. The rules are straight forward and I like that I don't have to wear eye pro with my prescription glasses.

I've been coming here for quite some time now and there are definitely ups and downs with this range. The range shop is great! Never had a problem with ammo availability at the shop and the staff is friendly and helpful. The restrooms are well maintained and placed conveniently on property. The sporting clay ranges are fantastic and I've always had a great time getting some practice in with my shotgun there. I haven't had problems at the pistol range with staff as they have been very friendly and helpful to me and my buddies. There's a heavier set Hispanic fellow (Forgot to catch his name) who works the pistol range and we have always had great conversations about different preferences for handguns. He's a great safety officer who prioritizes safety but is also friendly in offering advice and corrections. Oh but the dreaded staff at the rifle range.... My first time there, I had brought in a rifle that had a new scope that needed to be zeroed. There's a (probably in his 50s) big backed, circle bearded man who has done nothing but being rude and condescending to me and my buddies since the moment we first set foot in the rifle range. Amongst a rude introduction, he criticized my apparently "stupid" rifle setup according to him for having a riser under my scope. I have neck problems so the higher profile makes it more comfortable for my neck when I'm aiming. I don't understand the difficulty of realizing why some setups work better for other people even though he doesn't personally need those particular modifications??? I harmlessly and honestly asked when it would be appropriate to collect my target as we were packing up our rifles after the final shot of the day to which he came after me accusing me of not listening to him even though he was giving his final closing instructions whilst the last few rounds were still being shot as he was sweeping brass on the opposite end of the range while everyone was still wearing hearing protection. I tried to remain friendly with him the second time I came into the range another week (maybe he was having a bad day my first time dealing with him) but once again, within the first few sentences had nothing but rude and unwarranted comments. Criticizing every shot i took out of my rifle, calling my bore sighting tool useless even though I've had no problems using it in the past. I can't keep coming back to this commonly shared treatment (according to other similar reviews.) And I know it's not just me. You can exercise safety and give people great advice but there's no reason to stomp all over your patrons, belittle them, and make them feel like they committed an offense by daring to step foot on your range. This needs to be nipped in the bud. Otherwise, a great and well kept range.

It's a really great place to shoot your rifle, shotgun & pistol. The whole place from the range office, grounds, restrooms, and range are 1st class. There are plenty of shooting stations up to 100 yards. The range masters are safety first and knowledgeable and are willing to help.

I have only shot on the pistol and rifle ranges, but the facilities are well maintained, with helpful staff! Only downside is the longest distance is 100 yards. The clubhouse is well supplied, and very nice! And the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Had a great time. IΓÇÖve only been once and I was there for about four hours. I made a new friend there too. The only reason IΓÇÖm giving 4/5 instead is because I was told that they donΓÇÖt have competitions there, even though the registration papers suggest that they have them. By asking if we are interested in competition.

First time shooting with my girlfriend and her dad. We hadn't even shot one bullet yet and the range master seemed to have a problem since we got there. The two he was instructing weren't wearing goggles and moving their gear back and forth from the bench, which he had no problem with until it was my girlfriends family. Watched us like hawks the whole time and rode our butt's the entire time making the environment tense. He then got in my gfs dad's face to tell him no rapid fire yet we hadn't even shot one bullet yet as if the range master thought he just looked the type. As her dad was teaching me to safely load and fire the gun (it was my first time) the rangemaster decided to once again hassle us for eye protection when we weren't shooting just loading, and the two he was instructing were wearing NO SUCH GLASSES I've never had a more racist experience and I'm white

I have been shooting in various ranges for over fifty years but had the worst experience in my life due to a range master that treated me and my kids in the worst possible way because of our race he profiled us from the minute we walked in and yelled and got on my personal space from the minute we walked in warning us about how he was not going to put up with any your peoples antics like rapid fire before we ever took a gun out all this in the first minute worst experience at a range it was so bad the manager gave us a refund people like this range master have no business dealing with people hope no one has deal with this ever
