Questions & Answers

Q: What are your membership prices

A: For non-members, itΓÇÖs $18-$25 per hour dependent on the range you want. Additional shooters (up to two) for a discount rate. Their basic membership, ΓÇ£The HoustonΓÇ¥ is $540 a year. Their flagship membership, ΓÇ£The TexanΓÇ¥ is $780 a year and their premium ΓÇ£EliteΓÇ¥ membership is a whopping $1920 a year! They also have a more logical and practical shooters membership called ΓÇ£The Range PassΓÇ¥ for $600 that gives access to all ranges with none of the useless amenities. They also have a 3-month membership that is $300 and is similar in amenities to their ΓÇ£TexanΓÇ¥ membership and a corporate membership plan for those who manage a company that isnΓÇÖt filled with anti-gunners. The upper level membership just add on extra amenities like free courses, free rentals, discounts, and acccess to their lounge. Stop by the club and see the rest of the amenities and see if they are worth it to you.

Q: Is a Mag dump/Rapid fire allowed?

A: Hey gang! I am one of the Partners here at Texas Gun Club. We actually do allow you to rapid fire here at the range. We just ask that you qualify with us. Meaning just let us verify that you are staying on target while doing so. We also have Full Auto experiences so if you can stay on target while doing so, then come shoot as much and as fast as you'd like! Check with the RSO's about getting qualified and we'll see you on the range!

- Craig Davis (6 years ago)

A: Doubt it but you can call n check

- Jonathan Rodrigues (6 years ago)

A: I shot a 30 30 Remington rifle at this range.

- Norman Dell (a year ago)

A: Hey, purchases first AR pistol, what do I bring to the range besides my weapon, magazines, and ammo?

- Walter G (3 years ago)

A: Can draw and fire from the holster? Can you fire from the hip?

- Brett Stringfellow (6 years ago)

Q: I do always wanted to learn how to shoot, is there any lessions? If so, what's are the price for classes on learning to shoot?

A: I would personally suggest the first shot class, it's a 30-minute class that cost $25. Plus after you do the survey your $25 is credited to you for your next purchase on ammo, firearms, or maintenance. I recommend it for even seasoned firearm operators.

- Reginald Harrison (3 years ago)

Q: Are face diapers (masks) still required? Google says "Yes". (??)

A: No mask requirement

- Texas Gun Club (2 years ago)

A: No

- Ro Jacob (2 years ago)

Q: Can I take my 9 year old son with me to shoot?

A: We do allow children with a parent ages seven and up. We encourage it as we believe this is a generational sport and provides a great opportunity to teach safety to our youngsters.

- Texas Gun Club (2 years ago)

A: IΓÇÖve seen some kids there so IΓÇÖm sure itΓÇÖs allowed however IΓÇÖm not sure about the age requirements. I suggest looking through their website or calling them.

- Jaskaran Singh (2 years ago)

Q: If I wanted to bring my son who is 17 would I be allowed to? Or dose he have to be 18?

A: I see parents bring their children in all the time 13 years old and up. But give them a call, they can go over all the rules and guidelines before you visit. They will even tell you what the best day to go on for discount and rentals.

- Reginald Harrison (3 years ago)

Bought my First suppressor from TGC and had a great experience. Chris Lewis was able to answer all of my questions since it was my first time ever even shopping for one. Went in with zero knowledge on how to do this process. Every step of the way he answered my texts promptly with next steps to do and go it done pretty easy and quick.

I came here this past Saturday with my family. Environment seemed hostile and workers werenΓÇÖt super friendly. I looked up online before going in to look at range fees and to my knowledge, it was 3 shooters given per lane for standard fee of $18, then every additional person is $15. When I was handed my receipt I was surprised to see it was only 2 person max per lane, and the three other people were each charged $15. The website needs to be fixed to cater towards the updated 2 person max lane. Usually go to Top Gun, but since this range was closer to where I currently was, I decided to come here.

I was a member for over a year but let my membership lapse because I was busy. I went today because I had a day off. Point is I didnΓÇÖt check I didnΓÇÖt have prohibited loads in my bag. But I let the guy check my loads and he held my steel case 9mm. And I bought some approved brass. Anyway I barely start 10min switched from handgun to side by side shotgun when an employee there old as dirt is all over me in the lane saying birdshot is not allowed. Well you guys checked my bag obviously! Good customer service would have fixed the negative feeling (from old guy). Instead I left because itΓÇÖs bad to fight on one of my biggest holidays (Tet). Last thing I need is hassle since I come there for relaxation. Worse range experience (other than getting shot obviously lol)!

I came across a photo online that was reportedly taken at [Texas Gun Club], and it raised some serious safety concerns. The individual in the photo was holding a firearm in a manner that did not comply with standard gun safety protocolsΓÇöspecifically, the gun was not pointed toward the target, and there appeared to be no proper trigger discipline. What concerned me even more is the impression that such behavior might not be properly monitored or corrected by staff at the facility. A gun range should enforce strict safety rules at all times to ensure the well-being of everyone present. Although I havenΓÇÖt personally visited, seeing such images does not inspire confidence in the safety measures at this location. I strongly urge the management to prioritize safety training and supervision to prevent potential risks.

The space is large, clean, and not overly crowded, making it a comfortable environment. However, the experience felt a bit impersonal, and more guidance throughout the session wouldΓÇÖve made it better since my friends and I were unfamiliar with using any of the firearms.

Have been coming here for a few years, the customer treatment has been extremely weird lately. The range staff are nice but the guys in front are some of the most unenthusiastic guys I have ever seen. No one is happy. Everyone looks pissed. My goodness. I have no real clue as to why or what to say besides the absolutely dreadful experience I and my guests had. Won’t be returning won’t be bringing friends, acquaintances, or business partners for an activity here again. Premium doesn’t mean uninviting and passive-aggressive. Walk around and you will see, the staff is extremely….weird. Maybe someone will see something I didn’t. The range is clean, the ammo prices are high but fair, all in all good range really weird staff and vibes.

I speak so highly of this place. I’ve invited a number of friends here. I’ve bought guns, had my guns worked on, contemplated becoming a member in the upcoming year, spent a lot of time and money here, but after today’s service, I do not see myself ever spending money here again. Arrived around 12:45 today (11/15/24). From the time I walked in the 2 guys at the front counter gave off the most uninviting energy. I could skip past that, everyone has bad days. I got my lane and waited for the last person in my group. They arrived and went up to the African American male at the counter (don’t know names). That employee is someone who doesn’t need to be working with any customers, his bad energy is draining, he gives very short and condescending answers to your questions. We get to our lanes, my weapon had multiple double feeds, most of them I cleared correctly except 1. My weapon wouldn’t fire and the bullet was completely in the chamber, the only way I could get it out was pointing the weapon upward and shaking it out. No other way worked. After getting the weapons cleared, I noticed a guy with a red shirt (Mr. ANDY) standing behind me. He asked if I needed help, I informed him that I did not need help. At that point I had already successfully cleared my weapon. Mr.Andy proceeded to tell me to make sure I kept the weapon pointed down range and not up toward the ceiling. I replied with “yes sir” and “thank you Andy” , I instantly regretted calling an elder by their first name so I politely asked for him last name, so that I could properly address him, even tho he was wearing a name tag, the light from down range made a glare. Mr.Andy visibly became aggravated by me simply asking for his last name. He intentionally whispered his last name, after the 3rd time I asked, he rudely yelled “I JUST TOLD YOU”. Mind you I’m an Army Veteran with hearing loss! There is only 1 reason a Texas Gun Club employee should be yelling at a customer and that’s if someone’s life is in danger. I simply asked for a last time. This is the first time I ever felt uncomfortable and unwanted at this location. I spent almost 70 dollars today and spent about 20 minutes shooting. Your website claims that TCG is “Fun, Friendly, and Safe”….. your employees threw friendly and fun right out the window today. Sad to say that I will not be returning to this location, I’m okay with driving an hour to find a range that is welcoming and where I am accepted. I gave you a 2 because Jack Joseph has ALWAYS given amazing customer service. Thank him for embodying what your website says that you are. He is phenomenal.

Been going to this club for over a year and for the second time I've been treaded like I don't belong and it's cool..the profiling thing is way to obvious..I did not come there for hand outs or special favors but today 9/18 @2.48 pm was my last time there.. the rep treated my like I was a criminal. I just walked out. Will never return there. Bought a 365 and green dot and the experience was so damn ridiculous. Was told by the sales guy he would install the green dot for free but was charged and it was not installed or adjusted properly..another red said the gun was "something that look like a gun" after waiting for a45 minutes the sights were still very off..then was told is my shooting abilities haha.. Treating people different because of the color of their skin is ridiculous and I cannot recommend texas gun club at all.

Terrible blog post on gun safes and recommended 3 of the worst quality pistol boxes available. The idea for content is there and I understand it's marketing but let's offer maybe one US made product. And possibly mention an actual safe company In the area of not country

Completely incompetent of doing a simple job such as checking inventory on arrival. They are terrible with communication. I would proceed with caution when dealing with these people. Destroyed my property I ordered and gave away all the attachments and tools.

I went into the store yesterday to pick up some ear protection. While in there I seen a used Walter .40 PPQ. I have one in a 9mm and it is a great gun, however Walter has discontinued the PPQ. The price was too good to pass up. Taylor helped me with the background check and purchase…was seamless and easy. He also told me about all the benefits the club had, very knowledgeable and super helpful. Great customer service. I’ll definitely be visiting them again for some range time.

Not a fan of this shooting range. Prices seem steep even for range 9mm ammo ($24.99- 50 rounds). I was informed by one clerk I was able to swap out firearm rental at no cost if I wanted to try a different firearm. Another clerk attempted to charge an additional $15 fee. Either I misunderstood or was misinformed, but was treated rudely regardless. WouldnΓÇÖt recommend this place. I travel a lot for work and have visited many indoor shooting ranges across the country, this range was short of mediocre.

Excellent service. I am from Poland, at work right now in Houston, Stafford/Sugar Land. I am in the process of getting gun permit in Poland and also am AT Gdańsk shooting sport club. Found Texas Gun Club to be very close by, drove there after work. Got in it just out of the steer and fount to be welcomed as a parting the community. Met great staff. Very clean place, good choice of guns to by and try out. Had a wonderful time in the Texas Gum Club and spent a good time with my friend and the staff. All were very friendly and this is what count, People. The gums are the same everywhere. We choose the place we want to hang out becomes of the people and their approach to us. I would recommend everybody who is passing by Stafford/Sugar Land to spend some time over there. Thank you Texas Gun Club! Is addition want to mention: my credit card did not work at the first try, but they had an option to insert card number and accepts payment. Great!

I feel absolutely blessed to have such a nice, friendly, and well organized range so close to my home! Also recently enrolled my 12 year old in Blast Camp. He had a terrific time! The confidence level of this kid is now through the roof. Jason, his instructor, was kind, patient, and my son didn't want the days to end. We will for sure be returning to camp next year.
