Shhh, don't tell anyone about this place, it might get overrun with people who just like to shoot. I actually like that every time I go, there is only a few people there, who are passionate about being gun owners/enthusiasts, and we don't have to entertain foolishness. The staff is always pleasant to deal with, they aren't in your way, overbearing, or obnoxious. The ranges are always clean and ready to go. I had to utilize the gunsmith on duty one time for a mechanical issue with my pistol, and he assisted me, no questions asked. I wish they had some of the newest guns out to rent and test fire, cooling fans on the range when it's Hot as heck, perhaps a water point maybe, otherwise, TSSR is the place for me.

Went here to zero two of my rifles and I was able to zero with no issue. Would come back here to practice and zero new rifles.

It's a pretty chill range. I've shot there on and off for the past 4 years or so.

I went today to sight in a recently purchased rifle, the weapon in question being an M/96 Swedish Mauser. For those unaware, it's a bolt action, and as such I had the bolt removed and laying on the table next to me for the purpose of bore sighting. The gentlemen shooting next to me asked to call a cold range so they could check their targets, to which I didn't object as I wasn't even close to loading my rifle. As I'm dialing in the scope, the RSO approached me, demanding that I stand up and step back from my weapon. I replied, telling him that I was only adjusting the zero on the scope, that it was unloaded, as well as being wholly incapable of firing, holding the removed bolt up to show to him. He remained indignant to these facts, only reiterating his previous statement. Not wanting to be removed from the range, I acquiesced. In my opinion, the price was an issue as well. It's $20 a day, or $15 if you have a membership, the membership costing upwards of $100 for a year. I've been to outdoor ranges with twice the facilities that costed $10 a day, or $150 for the whole year, the latter of which got you in for free after paying the membership fee. This, coupled with the lack of technical firearms knowledge on the RSO's part, has earned it a two-star rating from me. On the plus side, the ranges themselves are decent enough, and I was able to sight in my rifle, so not a total loss of twenty bucks.

Straight 10/10 experience. We had never shot a gun before and had a full instruction! Unfortunately we didnΓÇÖt have any cash to leave a tip, so if it would be possible to reach out for our instructor (rather short, short hair) to leave him a proper tip, would be awesome.
