YOU CANNOT ARRIVE ALONE AND USE THE FIRING RANGE. If this is Florida law, or even their own policy, that's fine. I have no problem with that. BUT they should note that on their website and they should tell you that when you call and inquire about using the range and ask a number of questions, as I did. But they DO NOT. I drove 30 minutes to use the facility and was only told upon arriving that they do not let solo people use the firing range. No apology for not mentioning that during the phone call, no taking of responsibility that the person I spoke with should have told me. Nothing but a sarcastic "Sorry. Have a nice day, sir." I am glad I didn't spend my money there, and you should think twice before doing so. This was posted right after the experience described above at midday on Saturday, February 15, 2025. (I added this because some of the company's responses below use the lack of a specific date as a reason to not address what is clearly--from the reviews below--a pattern of rudeness, disrespect, and disregard for customers.

I had a good experience here. The wife and I went to the range and shot a bunch of different weapons to get a feel for what we wanted to purchase. The pricing here is a little steep, especially for the range but the range is nice and the workers are competent and helpful. As I was getting ready to walk out I decided to look at a few Springfields and Danny was cleaning the glass. We had a great conversation, he was knowledgeable, very nice and helped explain the different weapons and their components. He was a real friendly guy who couldn't stop smiling. The world needs more people like Danny, and if I ever do purchase a weapon here I will make sure Danny is the one taking care of me.

Been going to this range consistently over the past couple of years and generally look past inconsistent service experiences due to employee turnover or lack of training but have to mention this one for others. Rented a Springfield Prodigy to try before purchasing but gun was so poorly maintained that the gun jammed 2x with the ammo I was forced to purchase and the site was loose as one screw was missing and the other was loose. I mentioned it to the guy at the front and another employee in the range and was told that it's pretty common as they don't clean the guns regularly. "Just the way it is" means other people complain and even though they know, they choose to do nothing about it. Be better as it would have helped sell the gun.

To begin, I am a range member and have a CCW license. I have shot at the range for approximately 3.5 years. I will agree on the cleanliness and friendly range personnel however I would not have a firearm purchased from a manufacturer (SIG) shipped to them. They accepted a firearm from the SWG at SIG on Wednesday 1/15/25 to date (1/18/25)I have yet to hear from them so I can fill out the background check forms. I have called about 8 times with someone answering on 2 occasions; also visited personally with no success. No response from voicemails to transfer personnel. With any other purchases such as this I will certainly look elsewhere, even if I have to travel to Ft. Myers or Miami to get better customer service. I really hated to post this review but felt it necessary. 5:15PM UPDATE - NICK FROM ALAMO CALLED AND STATED FIREARM WAS NOW PROCESSED AND AWAITING SUBMITTAL OF BACKGROUND CHECK PAPERWORK.

Went there to use the range with my husband. The 2 gentlemen behind the counter need to take classes on how to treat their customers in a friendly manner. No 'hello', no smile. Nothing but a stern and serious look on their faces. Otherwise, the use of the range was fine.

Just signed up as a member. Maddie and John C made the process very easy and most of all , welcoming. I am glad I finally joined sorry I did not do it earlier. Update as of January 12th, 2025. My wife just bought a gun (Ruger .380) and staff (John and Danny) were very helpful. I can't say enough regarding the advise on shooting with the .380 that (Conner) gave to her which ended up with her loving the gun and shooting very well with it.

Horrible experience rude staff members. First time shooting I was horrible, and I seemed to have hit the bar that holds up the targets not once but twice. The range officer who may hav been in his early twenties accused me of doing this on purpose. I apologized and told him that I did not do this on purpose for which he said he saw me aim purposely. Another range officer came over later and I apologized to him and he said he heard what I did and not to worry it was not intentional. As I returned the equipment I again apologies and of course he had heard the same issue he said he was told to collect my information, and I may have to pay for the equipment that may have been damaged. He stated that if I drove a car and hit someone I would have to pay. I did not have an answer because I did not see the comparison he was trying to make. I said that you have a copy of my license on file. As required, I plainly indicated on my clearance form that I had no experience. Instead of placing blame on the customer please review your policies and kindly speak with your staff about the appropriate way to handle customers. I once again apologize for my inexperience; I did not intentionally shoot at the metal plate as accused by your staff.

Drove all the way over to the Lemon Bay area location, per their web page and the store had apparently closed and moved to Naples.

DonΓÇÖt even bother getting a firearm transfer here. $80. You can go to other gun shops near buy and get your gun much faster and only pay a fraction of what the Alamo is charging.

As a woman shopping for the first time at Alamo the experience was fantastic. John was able to show me multiple different handguns and talk to me about what I might want to consider for a full size and for a carry gun, he was very knowledgeable and friendly I didnΓÇÖt feel pressured to buy a gun right then and there. He told me I should test out the rentals at the range first and see what feels best for me. I ended up taking a few courses with Pete heΓÇÖs prior military, and made me feel comfortable and confident enough to shoot alone at the range. And even took the time after the courses to go over different optics with me. When paying for my gun, Ty asked me If I had a cleaning kit and oil for my gun, (things I had no idea I needed or how to use). He came around the counter and took the time to show me what I needed and why. When I took my gun to the range to shoot for the first time, Orlando was kind enough to help me oil my pistol, (Again something I didnΓÇÖt know how to do) He also suggested other guns I might want to try out. From my first purchase of a handgun, to filling out forms with Jacob, to picking up my handgun with Nico, and Natalie, itΓÇÖs been a great experience. All the guys at the range counter, especially the manager Connor, are always helpful and in a great mood wanting to talk with me about different guns to shoot. ItΓÇÖd definitely recommend Alamo to friends and family.

Worst experience ever I passed my background the woman said "you got approved but I don't want to sell you this gun you can go somewhere else you can get it there I just won't sell it to you" she said with the worst attitude. The entitlement was crazy never go here because you won't get your refund either they said it has to be mailed if I wanted my money back. The audacity this lady had. Very bad customer service from the start to the end if you want to be discriminated against go here. You want you money stolen come to the Alamo!!!

Benny here was absolutely an angel. I’m an expecting mother and wanting to grab a couple of firearms for my first home and he really taught me a great amount on handling, what was very popular by demand, the in’s and out’s of self protection, and much more. I’ve never held a gun nor even knew the proper way of how to hold it and he made it seem like second nature after a 10 minute talk. I will definitely be coming here to take classes after my baby is born, and to make my purchases for my first 2 firearms! Thanks again Benny!🩷

Awesome range friendly staff clean and great airflow they have great selections of guns and are very knowledgeable and it’s very important that you follow the rules. Safety is their top priority. which is understandable after all you are dealing with deadly firearms……

Solid experience training with Pete as a first-time AR platform owner. Pete took the time to ensure I knew the basics before he took me to the range, so I felt more confident operating the rifle. In particular, Pete's drills on clearing jams and dealing with these kinds of situations prepared me better to shoot on my own. Highly recommend training with Pete at the Alamo.

**NOT A Female-Friendly Business** Per Alamo Manager "Cary" on 10/22/24, the large sign with factually incorrect info on FL Amendment 4: The Amendment to Limit Government Interference With Abortion, was posted with the permission of "the people who own the building." Cary hung up on me when I inquired who that was. The sign states: "no doctors" and "no limits" - despite the fact that nothing in Amendment 4 excludes drs from abortion care, and "viability" - a FL state-statute defined term - is the limit explicitly stated in the Amendment. Get your facts right, Alamo!
