The Powder Room

I have taken several classes and frequently spoken to various Powder Room personnel regarding a variety of issues related to both pistols and rifles. I found all to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help. Classes are delivered by certified instructors who are concerned that their students progress in knowledge while maintaining the highest safety standards. Too, instructors ( my main instructor has been Mike Kelly) have been very generous with their time in addressing the correction of errors common to beginners. I look forward to continuing to develop skills and knowledge at The Powder Room.

Love the Powder Room! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Mike is a great instructor! Highly recommend. Tonight he took some time to help me with my grip and aim and in just a few mins had me lined up much better and gave me some great practice tips. All of the RSOΓÇÖs are friendly and helpful. 5 stars!

I took my daughters to The Powder Room during their Christmas break and we had an amazing time. The three of us rented various handguns and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The facility is top-notch with a clean, professional atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Special thanks to James, the Range Safety Officer, who gave us some excellent shooting tips. Highly recommend!

I would 100% recommend the Powder Room. I am a novice gun owner and they are always there to help without making my son or I feel stupid. They are also always kind to my special needs adult son who loves to shoot and ask questions about the guns for sale. I have become a member and have never had anything but a positive experience there.

Easy location to get to. Large set up that is well stocked. We came in with a party of 12 to use a few lanes. Need valid id from any state. Need close toe shoes. No tank tops. Have to watch a 15 min training video which was well done. Then put on ears and eye before entering range. You get the lane for up to an hour. They rent weapons, you can buy ears, eyes, and targets, ammo etc. They have a good selection of rentals and new firearms. Great service and diligent range safety officers. Our group gave them a big thumbs up and you can give this review a 👍 or mark as helpful. Restroom on site. Easy parking We are already planning our visit next year and getting some members back later this year. Highly recommend.

If u shoot, this is a fun place to visit. They hv a LG variety of hand guns. LG variety of accessories. Indoor ranges are clean & both pistol & rifle friendly. Safety officers & employees (in general) are knowledgeable & helpful. A variety of safety & "how to" classes are available to beginners & experienced shooters as well. Hours of operation are customer friendly and monthly as well as annual memberships are available. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was in town for vacation from South Florida. I have been to Inlet Beach area before and decided to shoot while up there for the week. Everyone feels most comfortable at their home range. So when I walked in and was pleasantly greeted/pointed in direction of range check in, it was nice knowing non locals are welcomed! Range was climate controlled nicely and they take safety serious which I respect. IΓÇÖve shot a fair amount and even I was tapped by RO to nicely remind me of 2 second rule between shots which is on me (I train control pair or failure drill mostly). So muscle memory got the best of me there. Lastly, Michael/Mike was awesome. Not just in customer service but just being a good guy wanting to talk. The whole staff was great from whom I spoke with and dealt with. I really enjoyed my time at the range here and recommend it to beginners or professionals. Hope to see yall next year!

This was my first experience shooting with my son and I was blown away with the time, information and kindness that was given to us. Mr. Kelly was knowledgeable and answered every question my son had. He took his time to explain everything to get us comfortable and safe to shoot. We are trying to go back again this week already! I would highly recommend having Mr. Kelly as your instructor if you can and he has an opening. This was a wonderful experience all around.

Went in there today, 11/16/2024 to buy a Springfield M1A for $1,729.00. Salesman stated that there was a three day hold on a long gun unless you have a CCW. IΓÇÖm currently an active duty LEO with the correct documentation and was still told that there was a three day wait. They really need to familiarize themselves with F.S.S. 790.0655(2)(d).

I had a much needed private lesson at the range last week. The time was well worth the price and time. I left the facility a better shot and wifh greater knowledge about weapons. stnce. grip and avoidance of common errors. Mr. Kelly was a Fantastic teacher.

This is a very nice gun store and range. The premises are clean, well organized, and the staff friendly and polite. Not the old-style gun store where one almost needs to be a member of the "club", nor is it a big box sporting goods store where the clerk does not know a revolver from his elbow. There is a selection of firearms for rent (this could be larger), and a modern shooting range. There was one surprise - the cost of range ammo was very reasonable, not inflated like most ranges. The range safety officer was unobtrusive, but still helful when needed. Good place - go there. UPDATE: Remember to wear closed-toe shoes to this (or any other) gun range! Dummy me strolled in wearing sandals (It's Florida, right?) and was told it was NoGo on shooting with my toes exposed. But hese guys think of every thing. They had a shelf of cheap slip-on shoes for about the price of a box of 9mm rounds. So I got to shooot and learned another good safety lesson.

The training classes here are top notch! Very knowledgeable instructors with real world experience who are great at working with students at their own level and showing them how to grow their skills. IΓÇÖve taken multiple classes this year with several instructors, from Defensive Pistol to Home Defense shotgun to Legal Aspects of Self Defense and have gained so much from all of them. Highly recommend for newer shooters and those looking to grow their knowledge and skills.

I had the pleasure of taking the beginners First Shots Class under the expert guidance of Jeanine and Mike. They were exceptional instructors who prioritized safety above all else! They provided clear and concise instructions on proper gun handling and safety protocols, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and confident in their abilities. Their enthusiasm for teaching was contagious, and they created a positive and supportive learning environment! I appreciated their patience and willingness to answer any questions, no matter how basic. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning how to safely use a handgun!

I walked in to rent a lane to practice some shooting, and ended up doing a private lesson with James, which was awesome! We went over proper grip technique before heading to shoot and overall had a great time and learned a lot. The facility feels very clean and organized. CanΓÇÖt wait to go back!

Incredible facility and fantastic staff! My wife and I went there together for the first time yesterday. First of all, this range is a showplace. It's gorgeous, safe and very high-tech. They also have a large inventory to cover any shopping needs you may have. I may have been most impressed by the ventilation system in the range. I've never been to a range where, even when full of people, there is zero smell from spent gunpowder. They have a high-tech ventilation system that pulls all of the air downrange. You don't even notice any sort of air movement, just that you never smell a thing. It's amazing. The staff there is also great. VERY knowledgable and also very helpful. That was especially appreciated by a couple of novices like us, but a friend of mine who has been a gun owner for 45 years was there and offered that he even learned a few things too. Lastly, they have a virtual range that will blow your socks off. It's available for rent and there are 600+ scenarios that you can use to practice your skills and judgement in real-world situations. Do yourself a favor and go there! We shall be back soon as well!

I took 2nd Shots with Jeanine Reny. At 66, I am learning to shoot. I now have confidence that I could use my weapon for defense, and I know how to practice to become more proficient. She was encouraging and very repetitive which really helps me learn. I hope Powder Room will offer a 3rd Shots class.

Just finished 2nd Shots class- great follow-up to 1st Shots. Jeanine is excellent at beginning preparation for more advanced shooting! Loved the repetitive shooting!!! Highly recommend!!!

We had a great time with the Second Shots class. Serious practice and improvement on follow up shots, double taps, accuracy and stance. Lots of one on one feedback and help. Jeanine did an outstanding job. We would like to have a Third Shots class to get to the next level.
