Questions & Answers

Q: can i use my own 5.56 ammo or do i have to buy rang ammo? I have been here before but never shoot here with my AR.

A: No steel core, tracers, or AP. Steel case IIRC is allowed, just not steel core.

- Dillon Desloge (6 years ago)

A: Depends on who's officiating the range, I've shot steel case, fmj, and others, then not allowed to shoot same rounds other times. The "magnet test" doesn't really work on steel case as the majority of the round attracts the magnet. They do push their rounds pretty hard after they refuse the ones you brought. Otherwise a great range and gun store.

- stig x (7 years ago)

A: Yes, just make sure it's not steel core. Use a magnet to check.

- Jake Wise (7 years ago)

A: Yes, you can shoot 5.56 as long as it has no steel casings, or steel bullet/ bullet cores.

- Nothing Fancy Just Us (6 years ago)

A: They are cheap and very helpful. Steel ammo sucks anyway

Q: I have two guns that my husband owned and want to ship them to his daughter in Furlong, PA. Can you help me with this?

A: I'm sure The Range can help. You'll need the name of an FFL dealer that your daughter would like to pickup the guns from in PA. Just take them in and talk to the guys. They are very nice and helpful.

Q: What personal info do I need to provide

A: To purchase a handgun must must be 21 and have a valid Missouri ID. For a rifle or shotgun, you have to be 18 or older with the Missouri ID. Residents of other states can purchase firearms but it will be sent to a FFL dealer in their state. State and local laws will be applied for sales to residents from other states (the destination FFL would do that anyways). Shooting range: For handguns, you must be 21. For long guns, 18. Foreigners with valid IDs can use the shooting range but the age requirements are the same. Anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be prohibited from using the range.

Walked in to possibly buy a shotgun. A Beretta A300 or 1301. It was busy. I will give them that. Finally someone came over to help me. After talking to the guy behind the counter for a brief minute. Some younger kid walked over like he was a manager. Told the guy to go do something else. I asked a few questions about the two shotguns. Kid picked up the A300. Looked it up to see if it held 5 or 7 shells. I live in Illinois and thatΓÇÖs important because of the unconstitutional restrictions. I actually wanted to hold and compare the two in my hands. He just put the shotgun back in the rack without me actually looking at it. After that he couldnΓÇÖt get over to the longer part of the gun case and avoid me. I had a few more questions of other firearms and he totally blew me off with short answers. Had $2k cash in my pocket and ready to buy and have firearms transferred. To prove my story I was wearing a Pivotal Defense hoodie around 11:30-13:00 2/15/2025. If yΓÇÖall want to look at the cameras.

Sad. I wanted to give them my business, but they clearly wanted to act like children instead.

I only take time to leave reviews if I have an excellent or terrible experience somewhere. I had a personal training session with Elizabeth. My experience with her was stellar. As an adult educator, I was very impressed with her teaching style and knowledge of the subject. She put me at ease, talked me through and demonstrated each skill. Then had me return demonstrate repeatedly. I left feeling much more confident and ready to handle my firearm on my own.

As a female (who knows nothing about guns) I am so glad I was recommended to try this place to learn about guns and gun safety in a non-threatening, cool, inclusive environment! Highly recommend checking this place out! Excellent classes (and women only classes!). I was so nervous the first time in the shooting bay but our awesome female instructor calmed the nerves and gave great pointers. I've now been to one class and one girls and guns event and in the shooting bays and I can't wait to go back and learn and practice more.

Went to The Range yesterday to go and get my CCW Permit for my 21st birthday with my mother and a few other ladies. Elizabeth and Phil were excellent teachers. The course was very informative, diverse, and makes current or future gun owners understand the gravity of concealing and carrying a handgun. I had a fantastic time, and I plan on returning this week to join the Lady Sentinels, and obtaining my first firearm on my own. Thanks to The Range and Staff, I have more confidence in myself and in my safety.

They had .40 cal in the 10mm section and refused to make it right after I purchased the ammo! I do NOT recommend this store! I will be contacting my bank for a chargeback!

Great facility. I have multiple ranges. The prices are reasonable for ammo and targets and range time. Basically you can have unlimited range time that day. You can check in. Go shoot, go to lunch and come back and shoot some more if you want. Really a nice setup
