Q: Although I have a Connecticut State pistol permit, I procrastinated on applying for a FLORIDA STATE pistol permit and with the covid pandemic, I may have missed my window. Can I still go to the range to calibrate my red dot?
A: You don't need a license to carry to join. But you do need proof of a recent background check if you don't have one. You also need to be an NRA member for insurance purposes. Idk how public day works though. I'd consult the website

Q: What is the cost on public day? If I get membership what are the hours the range is open?
A: ItΓÇÖs free on Public Day
- Joshua Cash (3 years ago)
Q: how far out do the targets go and do they rent out rifles to use?
A: I dont think they rent anything, bring your own weapons and ammo....as for how far the targets are... saw 300 yards and above

I was looking for a local range thatΓÇÖs outdoor and private to go shooting. Avid firearm collector with numerous SBRs, SBS, and suppressors. All of these hard to acquire NFA items are banned from the range. Avoid this Fudd place.

I am looking forward to the first Sunday of every month when they allow the public to come so that I could check out the place I've heard good things about it although I've also heard that it's expensive. What I don't understand is you are required to join the NRA which I already am a member of I just don't understand why it's a requirement and that you don't have full member privileges after you've paid your dues and have your NRA card presented. I don't understand the lag in full membership privileges whatever that means. That information is per the website

Since the moment one arrives at the entrance, they see the security and the commitment that they have so that one is always safe, and they take their time to explain the minimum of detail to be in a safe and pleasant environment.

Apparently some range safety issues from the reviews . Also poor attitude from staff which means the place is understaffed. This equals an unsafe , unpleasant experience which I will pass on. Be safe !!!

I hesitate to give a good review because I don't want it to get crowded here but this range is amazing. I went from spending 19 bucks an hour at shoot straight (per person) to $10 bucks a month after initial buy in. The range is well maintained in every way. This is a well run operation!

One phone call. All it took as the gentleman (if you could call them as such) was just an abrasive and rude individual. For a place that is members only, it's hard to see how you can get any if the moment they call to ask for info, you consider that "playing games."

Pretty good but no long distance shooting. People are okay, go enjoy a fairly safe time.

Great, multiple range type facility that places a great deal of emphasis on safety. I thought that was excellent given the number of beginning shooters I saw on this Open To The Public Day. There were many Range Safety Officers on site (all volunteers). I believe they did a great job of very patiently instructing shooters whenever necessary. I recommend this place.....especially if you are a relatively new shooter. You can learn a lot.

The range is nice; however, there are some members that fail to practice firearm safety. By son was swept by a 454 casual. I packed up and left. Came back a few days later. I was swept again by a loaded revolver. Evidently, firearms safety is looking down the barrel of a revolver looking to see if another round is available. There was, so I was swept yet again with another loaded revolver. When you take your concerns about firearm safety to the board, politics prevail instead of common sense firearm safety. Chuolota Sportsman Club is a safe, RSO monitored range that is a wonderful place for my family to shoot, trap for shotgun as well. If you want a family oriented safe place to shoot, go to Chuolota Sportsmen club. I haven't regretted the switch and my family has always had a safe time shooting there.
