The Sporting Club at the Farm

Have been going to The Farm for several years. Have done several pheasant hunts for my birthday celebration with friends, corporate 5 stand event, and shot the course with friends. Great and educational staff to help anyone from experienced to new shooters. Great place to go!

Today 12/7/2024, we encountered a significant safety issue that we felt was not understood by the clubhouse staff. The 3D archery course follows a lollipop shaped loop through a wooded area. After completing the first few shooting sites on the ΓÇ£stickΓÇ¥ of the lollipop, we walked up a small hill and notice that there was a hunter wearing safety orange sitting in a tree stand in the center of the circle of the lollipop. Because we were (a) not hunting and (b) on an archery course, we were not wearing safety orange. There was another group behind us and they were not wearing orange either. We called the clubhouse, were placed in hold, and then told that they were aware that there was a hunter on property and that he was leaving the 3D archery area. As he descended the tree stand, we noticed that the hunter was armed with a muzzloader. When we finished the course, we returned to the clubhouse to check out. We spoke with the people in the clubhouse to express our concern about having a hunter armed with a gun on an archery course. The initial response was ΓÇ£we called him and told him to move and he didΓÇ¥. When we reiterated our concerns about a hunter with a gun on the archery course, we were told: ΓÇ£well, heΓÇÖs the owner, so (chuckle and shrug)ΓÇÖΓÇ¥ This is incredibly irresponsible and the lack of concern of the OWNER of the property and his staff of having a gun hunter on an archery range is appalling. We will not be back.

What a great experience! My husband is very much into clay shooting and has wanted me to try it out to see if it is something that we could enjoy together. I have had no real previous experience with this sport and was pretty nervous. My best gal pal and I took the LadyΓÇÖs Intro Course. Bobby and Brook were awesome! They put me at ease very quickly and were so informative and supportive. I think they were just excited as I was when I cracked a clay! I would definitely recommend this course to any of my gal pals and look forward to doing it again. Also, the clubhouse and property is beautiful if you need a place to plan a special event.

We did the LadiesΓÇÖ Introduction Class to Sporting Clays and it was a wonderful experience. Bobby was an excellent instructor both technically and encouraging! Brooke made us feel very at ease and comfortable. We will be back for more lessons and to play the course. I would recommend them to a complete beginner or seasoned professional. The venue is also beautiful and would recommend for a private event or wedding.

My Mom and I had our first encounter at The Farm today. We took a womans sporting clay class.... I want to share with everybody just how much we enjoyed the class. The 3 ladies working the class were super helpful, upbeat, and extremely knowledgeable. I may even join one of their shooting teams. Really excited about that! I couldn't be more ecstatic about this business. Beautiful scenery, employee's are excellent, and the service they provide is top-notch. If you haven't been and u love to shoot or even want to learn how to shoot, I fully recommend you give them a call.

A challenging Clays course that changes often. A big 5-stand set up with plenty of room for 3 or more squads to be under roof. They have a lot of other stuff that I havenΓÇÖt used, archery, fishing, event venue. I know the team there will work their butts off for you.

We were visiting Bardstown and always pack the shotguns when we head off for an adventure. So glad we found this place to spend a day shooting. We had a great experience shooting clays. As soon as we walked in Bobby made us feel like we have known each other for years. Great course and beautiful views. We look forward to coming back next year.

First time going here. I did the Ladies Only intro to Sporting Clays class. I have never shot at sporting clays before and itΓÇÖs probably been 20+ years since IΓÇÖve had the opportunity to shoot a shotgun. Our instructor Bobby was great! He made you feel comfortable, gave great instructions, and made the class a ton of fun. Love this place! Thank you Bobby for your time! Looking forward to visiting again!

The farm is an amazing venue, our work annual meeting has been held here for the past 5 years. In those years we all have created amazing memories and look forward to returning each year. Lori, Bobby, Brook, and Todd make planning and coordinating our event seamless and easy! A must see venue!
