Q: Thinking about getting a hand gun for protection as I am moving soon, how long does the process take & what will I need?

A: If you don't have a CPL license, you'll have to go to the local police department and get a purchase permit which is good for 10 days. Within that 10 day. Go find a pistol you're wanting and purchase it. When you're purchasing it you will fill out some paperwork you need to take a slip back to your local police department. And then practice practice practice. This is all assuming that you're felon free and able to purchase a handgun good luck

- Dennis Buckle (5 years ago)

A: Yes police department first than gun shop. An when your done buying your handgun you keep a record an you have to drop one off at the police department.you can always can the gun shop an they will help you with the hole process.

Was in for a birthday shoot on 3 lanes. Was pretty neat seeing the different lane rooms along with the open ammo shoot with our shotguns. It was definitely nice not being too restricted on shoot style and pace being as seasoned as the party was, and that made it so much more fun. Thank you to the staff for being so respectful and kind to us being the first time inside for some of us! It is a very clean store space and pretty well organized on the floor.

I came to this location a few times and always had a different weird type of experience the last two times I came which both has been in the last two weeks I have felt racially profiled the first time a rep had us fill out the waiver then called a manager up manager said he smelt weed I donΓÇÖt smoke and knew I was coming to the gun range so I wasnΓÇÖt around smoke got turned around two weeks later Came back to shoot doing everything the same And the SAME CAUCASIAN MAN JOHN said We smell like a LITTLE BIT OF WEED Excuse me I have never in my life heard somebody smelling like a lil weed either I smell like it or not no little when it come to marjuana thatΓÇÖs a strong smell I literally left them and went down the street and shot with no problem so he lied cause he smelt weed when I went to the new range they shouldΓÇÖve to JOHN SHOULDNT WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF HE DONT WANNA SERVICE BLACKS. Even the range I went to down the street told me people tell them that all the time and most of those workers USE TO BE A EMPLOYEE THERE BEFORE IT WAS MIDWEST

Place has taken a turn for the worst now that its no Longer owned and operated by Top Gun. Range USA will get my business from now on and all my referrals! The whole vibe was bad from the second I walked in. No wonder the parking lot was empty at noon on a Sunday! Update went back with a friend who said they wanted to go to Top Gun instead of Range USA, LOL After 2 minutes of him dealing with the people behind the counter he turned to me and said " I see what you mean" and we walked out went to Range USA and ad no issues at all very friendly staff at USA as always!

Some of the nicest most interesting people you will meet. Gun culture is usually stereotype as being political. But I saw none of that there...just helpful informed staff who are big on safety and enjoying your time.
