My experience at Tri-State Shooting Range has been a very good one. From the start when I met Robbie Love, ( the President), he was a gentlemen, and very imformative. He invited me to come and meet others. I am 67 years old, and I have not shot a gun since I was about twelve years old, (a .22 rifle, and handgun with my grandfather, a few times), I needed direction from the ground up. Joe Brock offered to teach me the basics of hand gun use. Joe is an excellent teacher. I was given a crash course in gun safety, gun range protocal, and how to hold, load, and fire a gun. He is as very friendly, patient and thorough instructor. Then I worked with Rick Smith, Rangemaster. He also is a very good instructor. Rick was very encouraging when I was able to hit the targets right away. I will say that everyone that I met truly loves being at the range, and loves what they do. I suppose I was not expecting the generous spirit that was shown to me. Unfortunately the media and others try to paint a negative image toward those that enjoy their handguns and rifles. These folks do not fit that negative image at all. Instead, they are responsible and caring people.

Friendly and helpful staff, but the rifle range is lacking shade for the heat out here. At the time of this review, anyway. If you're a rookie shooter and need pointers from the community. This is the place to be. Review to be updated in the future.

A shooting range is only as good as the people that run it. I'd give them a 10 if there were more stars. We used the pistol range for a while then tried the trap range. Two of the members saw that we were rookies and asked if we wanted any help. We met some of the nicest people there, all willing to give us time to teach us. The "derby" on Sundays is a lot of fun, and the lunch after gives you a chance to meet all the other members. A GREAT PLACE TO SHOOT

Today we went to visit Oatman, a ghost town of the gold rush. A few kilometers away, we saw a clay shooting range. We asked for information and we found very kind people, available. Unfortunately, I did not have US dollars, and they did not accept credit cards. Unexpectedly, friendly and generous Larry offered us a free trial. I fired several shots without even remotely taking the clay plate, while my daughter Rachel, at the first shot, made center. And we too had a lucky blow, meeting Larry!

Was at Tri State Shooting Park for an ATA Big 50 trap shoot and had a wonderful time. The park is very nice and so are all the people. Will come back. 11/11/2018: I've visited and shot ATA events multiple times and really enjoy this club. The folks are friendly and welcoming, and their shoots are always well run. They've now finished and moved into their new clubhouse and it is very nice.
