Sonny from Trigon Tactics and Davey from Five Elements Tactics make learning gun safety/laws and obtaining the NY 16 Hr CCW certification fun. A very informative and engaging course- I would do it again!!!! Since I wonΓÇÖt have to, IΓÇÖll settle for looking into their other courses.

Trigon Tactics is a very good course to take for firearm safety and proper use . Sonny and Dave Herman from Five Elements are Hilarious so yeah don't feel like the course will be boring for 2 days because it's not . They are very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire course.

The instructors, Sonny and Dave, did an outstanding job making what could have been dry material relatable and easy to understand. Both of them are not only great guys but also incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights that really stuck with me. The combination of the best two trainers Sonny and David was an amazing experience ...the chemistry between them made the experience very informative and very helpful would recommend anyone for this amazing opportunity and experience. Not only did you learn to conceal and carry but also learned about life lessons. Amazing experience. My experience with Trigon Tactics was Phenomenal!!!!! 2 Days worth of Knowledge from Gun laws, operating a handgun , transport etc. Just wanna say Thank you! To Sonny, Dave and a couple other firearms instructors for giving me the knowledge I needed to legally one day own and safely operate a handgun. I highly recommend this class. ItΓÇÖs worth the investment.

Sonny is an extremely qualified teacher in the field of self-defense and a fantastic host for the various classes given in his academy. I attended the CCW training course offered by Trigon Tactics and was genuinely impressed with the quality of information provided and the overall enjoyable experience. Sonny has a great track record in assisting with NYC CCW and R&S permits and he is very knowledgeable with the current regulations and requirements. He offers a consultation aside from the actual course, making the whole process as smooth as possible, giving you the best chance at being issued a permit. Just finished the 16 hour CCW Permit class with Five Elements and Trigon, and it was definitely all it was billed to be, and then some. I wasn't really sure what to expect (past the reviews I read, which were overwhelmingly positive), but before signing up, Sonny was responsive to questions I had, and really good with communications prior to both me signing up for the course and actually attending it. While I'd suggest giving yourself extra time to find parking around Trigon if you're driving there, that was the only real complication I had with the whole course. From there, everything just flowed. Sonny and his family make everybody who comes in also feel like family. There's access to snacks, as well as meals and breaks. He brought in Dave Herman, who is an excellent instructor (and also a nice guy!). The study guide he put together was thorough and easy to understand. Everything was clean, safe and well-paced. These folks really know what they're doing, and they care that we learn the right way and the safe way. The equipment is well-maintained. There is always assistance at the ready. Sonny was patient, and helped to correct positioning and also problem-solve during the gun-handling portion of the class. I've taken a lot of certification classes and courses for different disciplines, and I wish a lot more of them were run like this. They actually care that you learn the right way and that you have a good experience. And while it's not the least expensive option, it's definitely worth it. NYC also does not make the entire process of getting the permit and certification easy or inexpensive, and it's a really good thing that Sonny is available to help if needed - both during the process and after. So it's not just about cost, it's about the best way to get through the process with what you need. These are good people to know, and the way they do this course is great. Definitely recommended.

Best in the city. If you are searching for a location to take the mandatory NYC 16 Hour CCW Course, along with the 2 hour Live Fire. Look no further than Trigon Tactics. As a native New Yorker who utilizes public transportation, the location of this facility was a perfect fit. The caliber of its instructors and staff was top notch. They were all very informative and engaging. The facility is fully equipped for training and provides a well maintained environment with a secure atmosphere for learning.

Sonny explains all the requirements needed to obtain your NYS CCW Permit and can also help you with filing the paperwork if you request this service. Sonny and Dave are on top of their game in teaching this course and making you feel at home along with making the 2 day course fly by. I took my NYC 16 hour CCW here. Sonny is cool and knowledgeable. Very friendly atmosphere, and you get free breakfast and lunch. They also offer consultation for submitting your CCW application to the NYPD. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to get their NYC CCW.
