Union County Sportsmen's Club

Q: When will you realese Dillan, the Asiatic black bear you have captive in a barren cage??? He deserves a LIFE, don't spend his time wasting away in your "sportsmen-o-hell" club
A: Just seen dillion was brought to Colorado to a wildlife sanctuary. He will live a happy life there
- Christina Meints (5 years ago)
A: I think we all would just ask for medical care to start. Please, look in your heart & have pity.
- Bobbette Schaefer (5 years ago)
A: When itΓÇÖs shut down. Start working, people.
- Mike Burke (5 years ago)
A: They were rescues and if they were released now they would die out in the wild
- Alex Poad (4 years ago)
A: No one likes to see the " elderly" waste away.... older citizens do the same as we age. My thought is simply if this bear is moved from it's current " home" and moved to a new, different site- Dillan' s system might not come with this dramatic change, but who knows, people are a good example of this.. just one thought, thanks for listening...
- Doug Yagel (5 years ago)
Q: When are you going to release the bear?
A: Doug Yagel, it's hard to see any perspective that supports the continued promotion of abuse and exploitation of the animals held captive in this club. We want Dillon to be able to "take a walk" as you suggest. I find your comment uncaring and insensitive to the continued imprisonment of God's beautiful creatures.
- Pegi Sarcomo (5 years ago)
A: Doug- you seem a little more reasonable than randy up there. I enjoy everyday I take walks but I can in no way see this from any other perspective than wrong. Your club does so many other great things this should not be its legacy. I have no problem with ethical hunting but this is just a miserable existence. :-(
- Tina M (5 years ago)
A: Alison, Obviously the people running this abhorrent place do not have a problem with animal abuse. They will NEVER be honest. They will always have excuses for their actions. They have had to justify the the neglect & abuse they have reaped upon these animals for so long, they are believing their own lies. DOUG, you keep " passing the buck". You CAN help, by calling the correct authorities to remove the bear. By you distancing yourself, (by thinking "I'm not responsible, what can i do") makes you compliancein the abuse.
- Katy (5 years ago)
Q: When will you release the bear?
A: Randy Brittain- you are sick. Responsible hunters do not torture animals. Can you imagine the suffering this bear is going through? That poor bear would be better off dead than this. I understand youΓÇÖre defensive when your club is being attacked and I feel bad about that but you canΓÇÖt truly feel that itΓÇÖs ok. If you do you are not a sportsman! P
- Tina M (5 years ago)
A: Randy @ Clubmembers, please look in your heart & help that poor animal that canΓÇÖt help himself. We beg you, please get him medical care.
- Bobbette Schaefer (5 years ago)
Q: Do u need u fish tank cleaned?
A: You need school
- think about it (5 years ago)
Q: Are you guy's closing? We are going to camp next weekend.
A: All PA parks etc are closed
- Robin Sheesley (4 years ago)
A: As I understand yes because we are a bar /restaurant as of now still lot of grey areas who and what has to close
- brian zerbe (4 years ago)
Q: Do you ever have clam bakes at the club? I thought I saw it advertised . Jim Beck Sr..
A: I heard that the clam bake sells out so get tickets asap
- Matt Auker (5 years ago)
A: James , I am a member of the club. There is a clam bake on July 28. You can get tickets at the club no layer than a week in advance

I'd give it a full 5 stars if the range wasn't always rented and u can't use any of it because of that. I pay every year to be a member and when I do get time to go shoot it's rented and can't use any part of the range. I think they need to move there parties else where so members can shoot there guns when they want!

Any organization that willfully neglects an animal and keeps it caged for decades of misery should be shut down. Cruelty at its finest. Shame on these people.

It's a great atmosphere. Our daughter loves seeing the animals and feeding the fish. Well maintained, great little playground, miniature golf, restaurant and shooting range. There is a little of everything to do. Definitely worth the drive.

Please ignore all the other reviews on a "smear campaign" over the bear. Beautiful little spot! My family and I have been going for over 30 years. Went yesterday and food was very good for the price. Great service and atmosphere!

Been going there for years. They've remodeled the dining area to create more room. Good food for a good price.

Kitchen Manger is horrible, she litterally told us she was worried about the buffet for the next day. We waited at least 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. The president blamed everything on our waiter and he can only do so much. Our food was cold, we had a horrible experience and will be the last time we go to the club. If I could give minus stars I would.

Went there on a Saturday evening. My wife had the fried shrimp dinner with salad bar and I had the Delmonico steak and salad bar. Both dinner were good and the steak was prepared medium rare just like I ordered it. We will return.

Entrapping a wild bear for….what. I say let’s take the members and subject them to the same thing. Let’s see if they complain. Horrible people

Years ago this place used to be great but now it's terrible. Prices are high and the quality is real low. Overcooked fish sandwiches and a reuben with hardly any meat on it. Certainly not worth a membership fee to be able to eat there.

It was terrible! We placed our order and waited 45 minutes then ask the waitress what the problem was. She said itΓÇÖs about done. 10 minutes later she said they had to remake our order because it got burnt. Waited another 30 minutes she brought our haddock it was broiled not deep fried. So it was remade again waited another 30 minutes and finally got our food. No discount or apology! Nothing. We have had many meals there but it will probably be our last!!!!!!

Great place to eat, and have a drink, beautiful well kept wildlife area, I encourage anyone that doesn't get to experience the outdoors, to visit and learn respect for nature's animals. There is no charge to visit. Unlike PETA, that charges people to view animals they extorted from caring establishments.
