Q: At the pistol side if it rains do the targets still have to be placed at 50 ft or it's ok to have it at 5-7 yards when it rains?

A: Never heard of any policies like that but sometimes things are word of mouth. When it does get really wet out there the mud in those areas is terrible and rather than make a mess (that mud sticks to everything) I can see the ROs saying targets only at the 15 yard line. Regardless ask the ROs as they are in charge of the shooting line.

A: Responding - 10.21.22 Weekends we are open at 9am. Bring anything under a 460 for a great time!

- United Sportsmen Inc. (2 years ago)

Q: Kind of a broad question. But I'm 17 and my brother's 13, we've never shot a gun before and our family does not own a gun. Can we come here with our parents, borrow a gun and learn to shoot it?

A: We do not offer rentals. You may want to contact the clubs, as they offer Musketeers which are free programs to introduce youth to firearms.

Excellent outdoor shooting range with many different areas for different types of shooting. RSOΓÇÖs are friendly and if you are a new shooter will give you tips on shooting. Safety is taken seriously and as long as u follow the rules made for safety you will have a great time. Highly recommended!!

What a great experience. My good neighbor "Chris" asked did I want to go and fire some rounds down range being that be was preparing for a competition. I said absolutely even after he told me we'd be leaving at 9:30am. Needless to say. I meet several really cool people who were all very passionate about shooting competively. Sportsmen range was safe, clean and very competitive. I think I found my new favorite range!

Although IΓÇÖve been shooting for a while, I had never been to an actual range, and had no idea what to expect. What I found was a friendly and helpful group of folks who were happy and willing to get me educated, signed up, and out on the range in very short time. The range safety officers (RSOs) were observant and quick to provide helpful instruction and tips. Overall, I couldnΓÇÖt have had a better experience.

This would be a one star if it wasn't for one of the range officers being pretty chill. First time shooting here was absolutely horrendous. I filled out the waiver to shoot here, upon getting there I am asked if I have my Blue Card, I had no idea what that was. The guy working the counter look exasperated with me when I told him no, but I told him I had done the waiver online, he then took me to a room to watch the waiver video again, after explaining again that I had already done this he then says, "why didn't you say" and starts to get kind of pissy with me. He wore a denim jacket, blue jeans and cowboy boots and was a shorter older man. Super rude. On top of that they were busy and one guy was just sat in his chair doing nothing to help out. After that he tells me were the targets are and that we can use the ones they provide (Shooting through the rifle range) I was told by a range officer I had to take my magazine out of my gun, my rifle has a built in magazine that is non removable after explaining that he said "I don't know guns, I just work here" Why in the hell would you have some one working here who doesn't understand firearms to some degree, now granted I don't know as much as some people do but I don't assume people are wrong and tell them they are. After sending some rounds down range I am told to slow down my shots because it might be seen as rapid fire. I am using a bolt action rifle I cant rapid fire with it. There are too many rules that they don't tell you about until you start shooting, then they proceed to talk down to you if you do screw up. The one highlight was a range officer who had a redish beard, younger guy who was super nice and professional, and when something happened he would explain in a casual manner rather treating you like dirt. Other then that I would never shoot here again, find somewhere else that actually cares about their customers.

Before my last visit, I would've given this place 5 stars. I went recently on a Saturday (big mistake) and almost got kicked out for trying to learn some fundamentals from the person I brought with me. I was following every rule they have as I've been here many times. They really need to pick and choose their range officers better as some are way too nervous to be there on a busy day. I will continue to go as it's really close, but I'll definitely be looking for another range near me. I would definitely avoid weekends if possible. This is also not a good range to learn any techniques

Some parts are Worn down and muddy on the other side. Main site is well maintained. It is cold in morning and hot during day. Pollen is high. New bathroom. Parking on site. Appears to have an active community. The speed bumps will destroy your car. Rangemasters on-site who are very helpful and controlling of site as it should be.

The facility has been totally remodeled: new entry building with restrooms, new overhangs, tables, and easy to use target holders (large plastic pipes with slits in them to easily slide the targets in) that use pegs to keep the targets from sliding down. You change target distance by picking up a pair of pipes and moving them; they slot into wooden frames on the ground. There are hanging screens available to keep ejected brass from hitting your neighbor, and the paths have gravel and grated rubber bits so you don't worry about getting muddy. There are also range masters on the rifle and pistol lines to keep an eye on everyone, and they will gently remind you if you do something that might endanger others. One advantage with timed shooting intervals is it slows things down so you burn through less ammo - it's much more relaxed than an indoor range. Plus, you're not breathing in gun powder residue and gunfire isn't magnified like an indoor range. To save time, watch the safety video online and take a brief quiz; this way you're in their system and check-in is faster.

I am not concerned about their situation when it comes to their finances, I know that I have been wanting to shooting there for over a year.and finally started what ever their attitude are I don't care, I am there to train period keep in mind they did restoration and need to make ends meet I come from Sacramento and love it and there's much more than just going to the range and shooting it's called the rules and safety so don't get upset take it and move on and the staffing are good enough to help you with a issue be nice you can't always have your way for me and my son 👍

Just had a GREAT first experience at this place! I'm brand new to skeet and trap shooting, and one of the range officers did such a great job at teaching me how it works and giving me advice to improve my shooting. I cannot wait to go back!

This place is great. Super friendly staff. Very easy going... I was trying to site in my new 30-06 deer rifle, and I was having a tad bit of trouble. The range master was very helpful with guiding me and watching my shots down range to tell me what I need to adjust I was shooting at 100 yards, first grouping was off but with his help I was on paper and even had a couple bullseye. Thank you.

My previous review was deleted. The person who checked me was acting like a drill sergeant. CCW holders cannot carry into the range. If there is one place to respect our second amendment right would be this place but unfortunately was not the case. It's absurd that I can carry in public but not in a place where everybody has firearms and rifles.

Best range in area! 50+ pistol lanes & 50+ rifle (out to 100 yards) lanes. And safety emphasized. Have to try skeet, trap, etc next time. Also action pistol!

I was itching to do some shooting with a new rifle I purchased from a gentleman who claimed it hadn't been fired in almost 20 years. I barely got off of work in time to get home and grab it before I headed to the range, with timing that was decently close to final call for the day. As I waited for a cease fire to be called to post my target, the dreaded (but much appreciated) wind started to pick up. I was only able to get off a couple of minutes of firing before the Range Master decided it would be inappropriate for me to continue doing so, as my target had been sabotaged in the sudden change of weather. The wonderful and courteous staff had prompted me that I was able to receive a "rain check" if I wanted, for another visit. Without even asking them for a refund of any sort, they were sure going to make sure i was taken care of as a customer. At the end of the day, i was happier than a pig in slop that I was just able to get that old rifle in shape to fire, and I appreciate the ENTIRE staff of 08/02/23 for letting me on the range for even for a couple minutes. Yall rock 🇺🇸
