United States Shooting Academy

Q: How much is a membership?
A: They've got 2 options. The Trigger time, which is the family option, is $389 and the buddy plan is $188.45. The buddy membership allows you to take one friend anytime and they pay $10 vs $20. Family plan allows up to 4 people that live at the same address to shoot for free and you also will receive 5 free passes to use as your discretion for anyone.
- Alecia Davidson (6 years ago)
A: It's $600 after tax now, with no discounted rates for your guests. $823 for the family plan, guests still pay full price.
- Daniel Diep (3 months ago)
A: If I recall its about $400 but you might just can and ask
- Joshua Freeman (6 years ago)
Q: How much is it to use the range with your own gun and ammo?
A: Should be $20 which is good for all day. If you know a member, they can come with you and get you in on their pass for $10
- Ashley Hunter (6 years ago)
A: It's $25 now, $10 upcharge to use their steel targets. You cannot bring your own steel targets.
- Daniel Diep (3 months ago)

Staff were friendly, if you arrive early enough on the weekend there is no wait. I had a broken target on my range and the RSO noticed and brought me a new one right away. Prices were very fair.

Always a great experience at this facility. The staff is friendly and professional. They have made a lot of positive changes and the facility is top notch. They do offer rentals and instruction in addition to being a range. If you are looking to learn and grow, this is a great spot to go to. I highly recommend.

IΓÇÖve been going to USSA for 7 yrs now. I immediately hit if off with David the owner. His kindness and willingness to allow me to learn how to safely operate several full auto weapons platforms was beyond category incredible. Since then I have been regularly going back and have made close friendships with the staff, Brian and Karen especially. Brian and his team have professionally upgraded the range and provide a world class client experience. All your marksmanship needs can be met. And with the incredibly impressive selection of rentals, semi, full auto, with suppressors, USSA has easily separated itself from any gun range in Oklahoma and the mid west in my opinion. I have brought my friends from all over America to visit USSA. They are all blown away with how kind professional manΓÇÖs courteous the staff is. I read these 1 or 2 star reviews. Pettiness and nonsensical gibberish. Highly emotional without the benefit of even the most basic of intellect. Ignore them and come see for yourself the world class client experience USSA has to offer.

The place looks great. Love the new parking across from the pistol bays. Love the steel plate racks and the "shooters box" on the pistol bays. Uniforms look great and everyone was very friendly and helpful! Range officers drove around a few times and stopped to ask if we needed anything. Seriously excellent experience!

Took a Sunday shooting trip here and enjoyed it very much! We were welcomed in when we went to get our day pass. The gentleman working the counter offered us some extra services but never made us feel obligated to purchase anything. We shot pistols only so we got one of the pistol bays and added the steel targets to our purchase. The bay was setup well. I do wish the tables were abit bigger. Definitely bring yourself some chairs and maybe a folding table if you have a lot of firearms. We did and we filled the table top very quickly. We had only one encounter with a range officer when they came out with a rental pistol. He was kind, knowledgeable and was eager to get us shooting. IΓÇÖll definitely be back and will update this review if it ever matches what others have stated.

Sarah was a wonderful instructor! We had a great time in the lesson, and afterwards on the range! We'll be coming back for more classes very soon.

Ignore the review bomb that happened a couple weeks prior to this review!! I was apprehensive when initially looking at the reviews just due the recent influx of negative reviews caused by one individual. I took the basic handgun safety course with my s/o, and it was 10/10. Sarah was our instructor for this course, and she was great. Any questions we had were answered with experience and a lot of knowledge behind this subject. The range time was great. If youΓÇÖre looking to take this course, go for it. You wonΓÇÖt regret it.

I hope this range addresses its management issue with their “range master” … The individual in question clearly has mental and emotional challenges that without question… shouldn’t let him not only have any form of leadership as well as any responsibility… but let alone be allowed at any gun range. Someone this unstable is unpredictable. I witnessed this individual hop out of his range cart… call a Cold Range while in the middle of a competition… then proceed directly to one of our staff members and get in his face then verbally berate him front of everyone for having part of his cart on the pavement. As you can tell… there are multiple reviews to verify accounts of his behavior. I’m confident no one writing these reviews is trying to bring down USSA… but trying to remove an unstable individual that has the potential to cause other harms.

It's a shame I feel I must leave this review, but unfortunately, it's necessary. I've been a patron of USSA for over 13 years, going back to 2011 when I took my first class there from their staff instructors. I've visited multiple times as a shooter, renting time on their range solo and with family, and then later as I got into competition shooting, having shot their multiple times per year in both local club matches and major events. The behavior of their range staff, in particular a singular individual calling himself "the range master", towards the Oklahoma State IDPA match staff, competitors, and their families was disgraceful. I witnessed first-hand the range master calling a cold range to harass our match director, staff, competitors, and their families for minor infractions like equipment, chairs, or vehicles being a slightly where he thought they shouldn't be. He was looking for conflict, patrolling the range as often as every 4-5 minutes, getting into verbal squabbles with anyone who responded to him or even just looked at him, threatening to kick them out, and threatening on multiple occasions to end the match and send everyone home (nearly 200 competitors, staff, and family members). I've known the folks who run the matches at this range for a long time and have helped them as match staff on multiple occasions. They are absolutely the most polite, easy-going, and easy-to-get-along-with folks you'd ever meet, donating their time and energy as volunteers, FOR FREE, for 18 years to be able have IDPA matches at USSA. Having witnessed the interactions, I'm truly disappointed for all the competitors as well as the senior match staff that our last match at USSA was not something to be celebrated, but instead tarnished with bad behavior of a few ego-driven clowns. It had escalated by the end of the day so far that the match director was kicked off the range, and asked to leave, and then when thanked by a couple of competitors, one of them was assaulted by the "range master" and then kicked off the range. Another competitor was told to leave for filming the incident. Before we could even complete the awards ceremonies for the competitors, the ceremony was interrupted as multiple Tulsa sheriff deputy units had arrived, and the "range master" was demanding the assistant match director stop in the middle of the ceremony to discuss events with the police, and if he didn't, everyone would be kicked out. I don't know what the quality of their classes and training are now. I know that the "range master" is the self-proclaimed "son of the owner", is a loose cannon with anger issues, aggressive and confrontive behavior, and belongs nowhere near firearms or a shooting range. The fact that he behaves like this over multiple days leads me to believe it is supported behavior by the owner and other leadership at USSA. I would find any of their classes as suspect material - I find it hard to believe they are teaching concepts in good faith in their classes such as de-escalation, politeness, etc. which are core tenants concealed carriers need to embody when going armed in public. I would recommend steering clear of USSA until they have another change in ownership. They seem to value money, not their customers, and are poor ambassadors of the Second Amendment community overall.

Stay clear of this range. The new owners/management have serious anger issues. I would never allow my family to visit this facility after witnessing the ΓÇ£range masterΓÇÖsΓÇ¥ actions.

Don't go there. There are so many ranges in the area. You can find one with better prices, friendlier staff, and who care about more than money and power trips. I've been a fan of USSA since around 2010. I've taken classes, taught classes, trained, and competed there. Dave and Karen were also so nice when I wanted to teach a carry class, host teens from the Civil Air Patrol, or veterans from Team RWB. Several months ago, the new managers/owners decided that competition shooting isn't part of their new business plan. On May 4th we held our last event. We were yelled at, cussed at, threatened with shutting down the event, and a few people were thrown out of the facility. Why? Not for safety or anything else reasonable. Parking. Driving on the grass. Blocking the road temporarily while setting up and delivering water. Not snapping to attention when a 20-something on a power trip says to. If history has anything to say, they'll either go out of business or have new owners in 5 years. Until then, go somewhere else.

Was at the range the weekend of May 4th. - what a professional range master IΓÇÖve ever seen. Had an incident where he attacked a participant for congratulating a fellow shooter. He spent the whole day yelling and screaming at spectators over seemingly innocent actions of watching the match. The last straw was him yelling bloody murder at a little girl because her chair leg was 2inches off the grass. Be warned very unprofessional and hot headed. Who lets this type of person be the range master?

I used to love shooting at this place, but when one of the employees drives around on an ATV screaming and yelling at everyone for no reason, threatens to call the sheriff and kick people off the range and even cancel a major event with people from all over the country in attendance, for having a tire on the grass, or blocking the road momentarily to deliver water. I understand they own the facility and have rules but instead of screaming, yelling and threatening people they could have just asked them to move and treat them like a human being. I watched some of the nicest people IΓÇÖve ever met get kicked off the range because they would not bow down to the employee.

Absolutely shocking behavior by the "Rangemaster", unprofessional and egomaniacal yelling at total strangers that I personally witnessed on 3 separate occasions for 3 separate reasons. We are all aware that there are rules and expectations on a gun range. However, parking with a tire touching concrete, or in a separate instance grass, is not one that is grounds for full volume shouting at a complete stranger in a disrespectful and demeaning way. This is not the attitude and demeanor that anyone should have at any time, especially not on a gun range, and especially not when you are supposedly in a position of authority. I will make sure to at every opportunity discourage the patronage of this range, when in the past I had strongly recommended it.
