A: Yes, as long as you're a citizen of Ohio and can otherwise purchase a pistol, a CCW is not necessary. Unless something has changed, a CCW in Ohio just means you can skip the 4473 paperwork.

A: One thing that I would like to say is that having a CCW doesn't speed up the process of purchasing of a weapon at least at Vance. They will do all the paperwork regardless. If you pass the background check you can purchase almost any weapon.

A: Yes i have bought 2 guns and plan on getting more ohio is a open carry state you can have your gun on you as long as it is on the outside and visible or you can buy one and just leave it at home until you get your ccw

A: All you need is to be of age, have a valid I.D., and ps a background check. I would highly advise searching Ohio attorney general.gov and learning the laws before purchasing. Learn how to legally carry and transport a firearm in ohio.

Prices were good, information to the customer was terrible. I have purchased cars faster! We called to get information on the process on the way there, because we went to the wrong location . Wasted almost 40 min there (our fault for not double checking) Waited in line to look at guns (Is to be expected) then wanted to try before we bought. Had to go stand in line to shoot. Then had to take another number and wait again to to purchase. Had we not traveled over an hour and a half we would have went elsewhere. All in all we arrived at 11a left @ almost 3:30p. most likely will not return.

Professional & helpful and knowledgeable about products. Just a suggestion possibly let more experienced staff show products then handover paperwork / computer verification to trained & skilled staff to streamline the process freeing up sales staff. Just a thought if possible. This location always gets 5 stars!

The gun salesmen are very good at what they do. Very knowledgeable and courteous and they know how to diffuse any confusing situations. I purchased a firearm from them and it frequently misfed each cartridge I tried to load in it. The employees at Vance Outdoors were able to help figure out the issue without me having to send it in for repairs.

Went to the range to shoot today. There was a pretty long line but it wasn't too bad. I arrived to my bay noticed the rooms were extremely full with no range officers present in either bay. The rooms were full of brass. Looking they haven't cleaned it in days. Ran into an issue with my AR that i wasn't familiar with fixing. So i called for assistanced on my bay machine. No one ever came. So i went back outside to ask for help, waited about 5 minutes while they took care of customers. The guy finally arrives. So I explain the situation. He gives me attitude. He got to my rifle cleared it without even showing me, placed the rifle down and just left. Didn't say one word. I understand. Range officers aren't obligated to teach you stuff. But at Range USA the guys have a way better attitude and are always willing to teach and help when they can. I was a fan of Vance's until today. RangeUSA is way better.

I have been to Obetz location many times and have found that all of the store personnel are knowledgeable, respectful and dedicated to serving your needs. The only downside that I can complain about is the wait time, however there is very little Vance can do about that. Recently however, I did have an appointment at 3:00pm that I arrived promptly for and yet had to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes to be seen. So, I guess a 4.5 out of 5.0 rating would be the most appropriate rating to give.

The people at the gun range counter, the checkout counter, all the staff. Very friendly and polite. Always feel welcome. Shout out to the Gun range people. Tim, Josh, Johnny. Awesome people. There's a few more that have left since I've been visiting. These three are great to deal with. Always good to see them there. I'm a Smith & Wesson man, but Tim introduced me to the Staccato. What a gun!! Love the 2011 CS. A bit too expensive for me, but I love that I can shoot it for free as a member. Shoots smooth as glass and feels like silk in the hands. Also wanted to acknowledge Nolan at the gun sales counter. Great guy to deal with. Always friendly, makes it an enjoyable experience. Glad when I deal with him.

Got there before they opened and do to weather was first at the door so I was in and out pretty fast. Worked with Paul who I have worked with before and was great to deal with as always. I've had bad experiences before having to leave before I could buy a gun do to the wait but today was great. purchased two s&w m&p .40cals which each came with 3 mags and 200rds winchester winclean ammo each.
